Thus library is pretty large and has a great selection of books. It is in an extremely convenient location in the center of campus and has generous hours so that students wont be left without books in times of night before test need. There is also a really nice sitting area outside with tables and beautiful trees.

This is my favorite library anywhere! Nothing like the feel of a real book in your hands. It bursts with knowledge and information.I followed the yellow brick road at PCL to find the CIA reading list. I do not know if it was available because CIA Director John Brennan is a previous UT employee. Then, I found the book that doesnt exist. It didnt at the time. This is also the location where in 30 minutes flat, I found the manifesto of the Twitter Terrorist in 2009.Truly what happens here changes the world.

Its the best place to study at ... Its very quiet and good to focus very well

I spent a good amount of time of my undergrad here. Its a great place for group studying and independent studying. Be sure to book a room if you plan on being there for a long time! However I do loath the florescent lights and not so pleasing architecture. If you want to change your study environment up, I would recommend the architecture and the life science library in the tower. The setting is a lot mor relax and tranquil. Also it kind of reminds me that I am in a Harry Potter library.

The Benson Latin American Library is a good resource. The UT Law Library is also nearby. With a TexShare card, an Austin Public Library patron can check out books from both of them. These are massive resources for serious research. These days we could use more substance and less bloviating.

The Silent Study Room is a game changer. It’s on the Ground Floor and has a water fountain in it which was an amazing discovery. The reservable study group rooms are an amazing resource if you wan a quiet/private place to gather in a group.

It is a great place to study and there are study rooms for group presentations/papers. If you like/need to study in a quiet area, the first floor is great. The reference area, although its a designated quiet area, can get loud...so the quiet floor (1,3,4,&6) are better!

Its an excellent space with tons of wonderful spots to read, research or just relax. Theres a Java City on the first floor to get your coffee fix, and a food centered building across the way if youre in need of anything. If youre coming from off campus, a lot of buses will drop right in front of the library. What great service!

Great place to study, plus floors for group work and chat. You can reserve a room there online for white boards and more privacy, nevertheless there are plenty on desks available anytime.

A nice place to study with quiet floors, group study designated 5th floor, and many study rooms you can reserve. Books are plentiful, you can reserve computer if you dont have one yourself, staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.Just do go there too often. The setting gets monotone and depressing if you do.

The PCL is great to meet up and study, but you can be so easily distracted by your friends.I also found it hard to study there with the old furnishings and crummy lighting. There are way better places to study on campus.WATCH YOUR STUFF HERE, IT WILL GET STOLEN

My second home. Its a nice, quaint building that masks the sorrows of various students. I come here when I want to wallow in despair and have my soul sucked from my body. Would recommend to those who wish to get nothing done and proceed to pull an all-nighter afterwardsPros:- Has electricity outlets- (Comfy)? couches for those 30min study breaks- Nice new, top of the line Macs to procrastinate on- Has quiet floors for those who actually want to study- If you have friends, there will always be food- Miniature scale of Asia in the Commons area at nightCons:- Not enough outlets- No tissues at every table to wipe the tears- Might cause students to lose track of time- Possibility of raising stress levels- Restrooms stink more than an old convenience store restroom with an underpaid, under-appreciated janitorIf you dont believe me, Im currently doing this review at the PCL instead of studying for my 3 finals

Im a youtube vlogger going around the country and needed wifi. Nice library but unless you have an AT&T wifi account you are not getting into any type of WIFi unless you ask a student for the password. I was hoping my Xfinity national hotspot would work here . but it looks like they have some type of filter to block even Xfinity Wifi signal.

If youre feeling miserable and want to study, head for PCL. Youll still feel miserable, but your studying will definitely get done. They recently added new tables on the 6th floor (which leads me to believe that other floors got a little update, as well), and let me tell you - these things have power outlets. Gone are the days of dragging tables around and fighting your fellow students for those precious juice-producers (though I wont claim that problem has been completely eliminated). Happy studying!

Best place to study of you like quiet and other silent people

The architecture could use a little help--Brutalist is just not my thing. And the hour-long sessions on the computers is just annoying. But, if you like information, this is the place to be.

The new media lab and scholars commons are really great study spaces.

I like this library. I come here often with my friends to study at night. I like the fact that they have an entire floor (5th) designated for those that want to talk. I just wish they had some kind of small booths or something because I like to hide in little corners, lol.

I like to study here. It can get kinda rowdy on some floors, but I would just rent a room and get some friends together and cram. During finals time it is 24 hours. Bring a toothbrush.
