If you love great espresso, this is a place for you! Their coffee is fantastic and the staff is super nice!
I love this vibe. It’s everything that Austin always has been. The staff here is so down to earth so be sure to strike up a conversation with the flat track crew if they’re not too busy. The horchata here is arguably the best in town.
Wow! Some of the best beans I’ve ever bought. Super oily and make for an incredible cup of pour over. Cool atmosphere as well.
Great coffee and staff was so friendly. Doubles as a bike shop and some of those bikes are gorgeous..
Hands down, the best vanilla oat milk latte in town. They make their syrups in house and that little detail makes all the difference. The service is top notch. Love the bike shop and patio. We sat outside and sipped our lattes while watching the rain. We were trying to decide which coffee shop to go to and I am very glad we came here!!
AMAZING coffee. Try the latte with oat milk and Irish cream, you will not regret it. Cool vibe, great music, and a cigarette lounge if you’re a smoker. Nice employee, too. This coffee place is a must-try.
Brilliant coffee, the best I’ve had in the States to date. Not only was the coffee itself excellent the gentleman behind the bar offered to make me a fresh when we I had mistakenly not picked up the original, lovely service. A simple yet delicious sandwich & salad combination to round off an excellent experience!! Thank you Flat Track.
The setting of Flat track was really relaxed and really clean. I love you can take your dog inside with you and the food was wonderful! This is by far one of my favorite places to get breakfast and a coffee before starting my day. Service is nice and fast and I would recommend Flat truck to anyone looking for a place to chill out and grab a light breakfast.
Great tasting coffee. Also love the support given to those that live a life on two wheels. Will definitely be back.
Some of the best coffee in Austin, great vibes and the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Lovely coffee , service , presentation, and vibe. Top 3 coffee spot in town for me
Service was nice and the shop is interesting, it’s a coffee/bike shop. Latte flavor choices are limited just Mexican chocolate and vanilla which was disappointing
Such a cool vibe , awesome service, plus the coffee is the stuff of rock stars!
Really neat place half Bicycle shop and cafe. Very cool. Theres a place to sit outside. Pets are welcome outside. There are 2 picnic tables and a bar with stools outside and seating available inside. I had an iced green matcha latte with oat milk and an espresso, tasty. My friend had a White chocolate mocha but it had a spicy flavor in it, they probably should have told her first but... if you like abuelita/ Mexican chocolate its great!!
Best dirty horchata in town!
Locally roasted coffee that shares a building with a bike shop is sooo Austin. The coffeeoptions at Flat Track Coffee can make any coffee lover feel like their making the best decision of the day. I visited Flat Track several times during my visit and during my last day I picked up a bike for the day for a price you can’t beat. The most memorable moment was picking up Two quad americanos while my partner was waiting at La Barbecue down the street only to have dropped them while trying to open the door at La Barbecue. Of course I walked back over and ordered two more because they are worth it. When I got back to La Barbecue, my partner was in the same place.
We were here for a visit from Seattle and came here twice. Delicious cold brew and americanos. Highly recommend.
This is my preferred spot to get some great coffee from friendly folks. Love the aesthetic of the inside as well as the secluded patio, and have always had great service in the early afternoons. Enjoy the dog-friendly and suave atmosphere almost daily. Bonus points for sharing a space with a bike repair shop!
Tradition for me when I get to Austin...always lovely service and great coffee!
Tasty coffee and nice staff. The bike shop is great too!
Really wonderful baristas. They were very friendly and helpful-Im from out of town and appreciated their advice about where to visit. Also, the mushroom coffee is AMAZING and their gf chocolate donuts are the best Ive ever had. Highly recommend this place.
My favorite coffee shop for lattes in Austin! They remind me of the ones from Blue Bottle.
The menu isn’t extensive like it seemed on the web. you can get some Colache’s, and pastries, but I was looking for bfast.
Good cold brew, not bad on prices, and the bike shop is really friendly
Whenever we visit Austin we have two traditions... we stay at the Heywood Hotel, and we get coffee each morning from Flat Track Coffee. Not only is the location fantastic for us but it is literally my favorite coffee. My only wish is that there was like an XXL size cup for those of us who are completely obsessed with this place and want to drink it literally all morning lol. If you like coffee that actually tastes amazing and not burnt, and friendly people in a cool place.. this is it!
Went to get some fresh ground coffee. The barista was incredibly kind and helpful, giving me all sorts of info about the grind, the best brew techniques and the different tasting notes. They are clearly passionate about coffee but are down to earth and really willing to help share what they know. I got a delicious cold brew with my coffee. It also is in the same building as cycleast which is a great local bike shop.
We got 3 used bikes for our kids and they looked pretty damaged, we call 4 different bike shops looking for tires to fix the bikes ourselves and we came to this place because they were the only ones who had tires for kids bikes. When we got there, they offered us to take a look at them and fix them for us!!! They fixed 3 BIKES for $90! I’m so happy with the prices, the kindness and I promise I’ll try their coffee next time since it seems that that’s the only thing that youngsters see about this Lovely Place lol
Chagaccino and brisket kolachi were delicious. Theres extra outdoor seating around the back.
I think it really depends on what you want out of your coffee shop. This wasnt for me, but I can see why people gravitate here.Location: hard to find, tiny sign - definitely more of a walk up place as limited parking and lots of pedestrians - sandwiched between a funeral home and a gas stationFood: croissants, muffins, etc. Not much to choose from TBHCoffee: my latte was lukewarm and rather meh overall. Also not much to choose fromVibe: small inside shop area with a waiting line outside, both from people wanting coffee & cyclists meeting up to go to the shop and try out bikes - my guess is this is the main reason people like this place - intimate space, but wasnt comfortable by any means
Sweet sweet coffee - my favorite thing! And this place makes it an even sweeter experience. Excellent coffee - my favorite is the mocha. The other great thing about here is the vibe. Coffee shop + bike shop. Bring your bike, your friend, your dog - all are welcome. Staff is inviting, and the environment is relaxed and homey.
Absolutely incredible coffee. We were just passing through Austin during our first visit last week and had to make sure to stop back on our way home for more coffee. The horchata + Mexican Mocha is delightful together in a latte. Thanks for another great experience!
Delicious lattes and awesome service
Ive been a barista in specialty coffee for years, and I can confidently say this place has some of the BEST espresso in the entire city. Great job guys
Ohhhh yeah. Gourmet coffee in a bike shop.Fffaawwwkk meeee upppppppp.East side cycles is the shizzniiittttt
The original location was 150-square-foot and began as a pop up service in the back Farewell books. For the most amazing cappuccino and gluten-free chocolate donuts in Austin, you need to treat yourself to this place. They roast their own beans in house and they have a great patio outback. They even have Cycleast Bike Shop attached to their hip coffee shop
One of the best coffee shops in Austin PLUS neighboring bike store. The best there is in life.
Great coffee and service. We came here almost every morning when we were visiting Austin for the week. Cool/friendly vibe, the store is half bike shop and half coffee shop. Nice to browse the bikes when waiting for your coffee. Cold brew was on point and the iced espresso horchata was amazing. Had a few pastries and such, great! I accidentally left my iPad there and they were so cool about it, very responsive and friendly - they shipped it back to us in NYC and even sent us stickers in the box! Will definitely be back here next time I head to Austin.
The Mexican Mocha is ridiculously good, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. The staff at the shop is friendly and the vibe is very cool. 10/10 will go again
The patio is great and the coffee selection is adequate. Thanks.
They have some of the smoothest drinking coffee that still retains a ton of flavor. The oat milk latte was perfect and you get a free drip with purchase of a bag of coffee! Definitely will be heading back soon!
HEADS UP: Hours are till 4pm. Google glitch won’t update hours.
Their horchata coffee is just beyond words. I get mine with oat milk and a double shot and it is so perfectly sweet, silky, spiced all without overpowering the coffee. My favourite place to stop in the morning!
Easily the best iced coffee in town! We pick up freshly roasted beans here regularly and the staff is always super helpful in helping us make the right choice. Great atmosphere and AMAZING coffee.
Dope spot in Eastside of Austin. Roasting coffee on site with quality program. Also shares space with s bike shop.
We order two drinks. One mocha and one Mexican mocha. Both of the drinks taste odd, the milk leaves a film in the mouth. The Mexican mocha was not spicy at all. Been in Austin for four days and unfortunately I have to say the mochas are at the bottom of the coffee houses I have visited 4 in total. It may have been an off day for them but it is what it is.
Friendly staff. Tasty drinks!
Cold brew so good it convinced me to buy a bike! :)
Best coffee in ATX
Coffee was good. A good neighborhood coffee shop I love the bike shop concept as well. I had a hot vanilla latte. They were only accepting one person in and one person out to make orders. If Im in the area I would visit again. They had a cool taco shop around the corner. The coffee beans are truly unique. Dont park at the gas station nearby if you drive!
I was able to fully espresso myself.
Love this concept & I love their coffee! Super delicious. They are also being super safe and taking the utmost precautions during COVID!
Today was my first time here and they wouldn’t let me enter the store - they make you stand outside and give your order. As I hadn’t been before, I didn’t know what they offered/had never seen the menu. I wanted to order food but ended up not because I had no idea what they offered. Coffee ended up being bad and overpriced. Couldn’t believe I had to stand outside the whole time and was forced to order without seeing the menu. Won’t be going back.
I really loved my experience here. The espresso is great here and the baristas really have extensive knowledge of the various coffee beans and roasts they have available. This place also boasts a superb breakfast menu and they have brunch on the weekends that is to die for. Breakfast tacos are better than TacoDeli and the salsa is just like my abuelas back home. The vibe is very 1970’s flat track motorcycle racing feel!
Great coffee even better kolaches. Best staff.
It’s in my hood, and they have good vibes! Perfect coffee, and good food. The back patio is adorable. The only thing I would say is it’s kinda hard to park , but it’s great to walk to or ride your bike!
Solid spot and they follow covid regulations well. I liked their pour over!
Always friendly, coffee is delicious. My first stop before I start my day.
Delicious artisanal breakfast tacos and varied coffee beverages to warm and satisfy.
Classic east side coffee shop. Still one of the best in Austin.
Coffee and a bike tune up? Sign me up.
I love this place! This coffee/bike shop is a short walk from where my partner and I have been staying in East Austin and we’ve walked here nearly every morning for a cold brew and iced chai tea, which is probably the best iced chai tea I’ve ever had.
My fave easy Austin coffee shop
Good coffee and the place is nice.
Get your caffe fix and some good eatso
Great local coffee shop. Patio in the back is cool and tucked away. Food truck is good but closes at 2, wish it stayed open a little later.
Coffee was good but I felt so out of place. It just feels like they got their own cycling group going on and if youre not part of it, you feel like shouldnt hangout there. Thats just the vibe I got but might be wrong. Also, parking is not good. Theres only like three spaces so you have to find parking around the street or neighborhood.
The coffee and drinks are delicious. Seating is very minimal. If you come during the busy times you might not find a place to sit. Shares space w a bike shop with is awesome!Tip the baristas.Support your local businesses!
