We went as a family to experience the Ajanta and Ellora Caves around Aurangabad, an experience that left us completely in awe of the greatness of our ancestors and the culture that they passed on. These are NOT just caves - they are institutions of knowledge and culture! Definitely, a bucket-list item if one has not been here!We selected The Aurangabad Taj Vivanta based on the Taj reputation. We were not disappointed! The property is great, the rooms expansive and the grounds are ecstatic. Further, in these Covid times one actually feels safe given the serious attention given to sanitizing the property and making sure that sanitizers are there at reasonable distances and particularly where guests may touch a surface (e.g., the doors/panels of the elevator) and masks available if needed.Physical aspects do not make a great Hotel - it is the people! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The front office (Kishor, Phizar) went out of their way to help us. The F&B staff went way beyond the ordinary ... and more! Specifically, Head Chef Nishikant Panigrahi was terrific and he shared the workings of the kitchen with surprising enthusiasm and crispness (no pun intended!). So was the Junior Sous Chef Sainath Rathod - extremely attentive to the slightest of requirements. One of our servers, Amba, routinely recommended we try some of their specialties. Shyamal, Sheryl, Suresh, Santosh, Manaska, Chef Balaji and Chef Ramesh were terrific ... they really made us feel special - thank you all.Housekeeping was terrific - we had a member with special needs and they made sure that she was well attended to whiule we were away at the Caves and other sites.Bravo Taj Vivanta Aurangabad - a numero uno choice for a stay in Aurangabad!

It was an amazing stay. The entire staff from helping to carry the luggage to reception to in room dining. Their warm welcome felt like homely. The staff at the restaurant during breakfast are so welcoming and always on toes to serve you food of your choice including the chefs. I would highly recommend to have an experience here.

Vivanta lives up to your expectation when it comes to ambience, food and service. Lush green property with spacious rooms. Rooms with a small sit out area that comes with a swing is very different experience. The food at the restaurant is also good and the service is prompt. They keep asking you if we are comfortable or not or in case we need something. The only concern I have is that the rooms are interconnected, so you end up in a room that has two attached doors and you can sometimes actually hear what the neighbours are talking.

We stayed here for 3 days. Absolutely amazing stay. The staff is very good and helpful. No complaints about the staff at all. Food is quite average but the desert section is pretty good. Special mention to the chef, Mr. panigrahi, who is absolutely courteous, kept asking for reviews and suggestions and kept checking on us about the food. Another special mention to an employee Rafiq, who was very very helpful. We wanted to get ‘himroo’ shawls and also see the workshops, so rafiq here helped us with that. All in all, amazing staff who make the stay better 👍🏻

Pros:1. Very nice ambience.2. Excellent service.cons:1. Room was not properly maintained i.e. wall paints were old and had marks.2. Bed matteress was hard and i couldnt sleep properly at night. Expected soft mattress, gave my feedback, hope they change to good one.3. Bathroom was below par and water was leaking.Overall good hotel but lacks maintainence.

Absolutely amazing. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. There isnt much of a view as its in 5he city but the hotel has a big lawn and a pool. Some rooms have attached terraces where you can ask them to serve dinners. Food is also great and the service is promt.

Hopless service. On 8 th of September, we waited for 45 minutes to place order for dinner after arrival at restaurant. No sense of hospitality. Finally we left after 45 minutes without dinner only to look for other restaurant. That was my sons birthday party. But alas! It was memorable, in other sense. Please take care that this does not happen again with another customer, in future.

The best place in Aurangabad to stay. Obviously a bit costly as compared to other options but it is worth it. Friendly staff and awesome food.

This is how would I like to describe Vivanta Aurangabad.The staff is really courteous and will go till any extend to ensure your stay is pleasant and comfortable. Me and my family had a good relaxing time.Thin crust pizza is must to have for pizza lovers. And its a feast for dessert lovers (if you go for buffet). There are plenty of options. North Indian food is top notch.The lawn is lush green with fragrance of freshness . You can play outdoor games with your kids and family or have a morning and evening walks.Unfortunately couldnt enjoy swimming pool due to closure as per govt guidelines but it was nicely maintained and pretty big.The place is neat and clean. Since its Taj you dont need to bother about anything.We were pleasantly surprised with a complementary birthday cake on arrival since it was my sons birthday with lots of balloons.They also gave us complementary room upgrade and extended late check-out facility without any extra cost.The only suggestion would be to upgrade some of the old installation / fittings in room and washrooms since the property is very old and things are little outdated compare to other properties.

There is nothing like The Taj, its mostly like 3 star hotels. If you are comfortable with 3 star hotel then it wont disappoint you. Rooms are good, no welcome drinks, no proper parking arrangements, no valet parking. Garden and swimming pools are moderately designed. Not like a wow.

Hotel management or staff are not interested for business...They think,since it belongs to a big group,evenif no business come,they can sustain..I went to book some rooms for a corporate meeting,their responce was lukewarm n not encouraging..dull culture I find..frontline staff not well versed with etiquette..nobody cared..we go to a low category hotel as compared to Vivanta..but responce was fast

We stayed in Taj Aurangabad from 7th Sep to 9th September 2021.. The stay was really excellent . The hospitality was at its best . They made food specially who did not eat Onion and Garlic. The staff gave its 100% . I would definitely recommend its hospitality to others.

This was a magical stay. We had been on the road for weeks before getting here and been through countless hotel rooms including names like justa, Meridien, Ramada, marriott. This was hands down the best experience and the best food by far. It was thr closest thing to home. I would just go back for the food which was on another level. The outdoors could do with little more maintenance. Safety standards of this place was the highest anywhere

We are often here in Aurangabad, but this time We are check in here first time in Taj Aurangabad and overhelmed with hospitality of Taj (as always ) from the check-in to the overall experiance till the check out. A heritage.property by the Taj in the heart of city. Very better maintained and its not to mention. When I entered, get attended by Ms.UPASANA , a sweet talking and very very respective behaviour, that makes falling love with her, and I just fall in love with her. She as helping hands with her Ms.SHANG and Mr. RIKI , Both was the very helping hands to me after that, makes me the complimentary room upgrade to one level up and we just get surprised . After that we have nothing to do then and left is the story for us . Room is very spacious and everything in room is excellnt as expected. A huge balcony and there is a Swing, so spend more time in room on a day and a very excellent view of the lush green Lawn and garden from balcony. Very thank to the staff for their kind service to us. We are here for friends family event, so just booked the room with the breakfast only, so cant taste the menus from luch and the dinner.

Very nice place good food and very nice amenities. Only thing I felt which need to be improved is the exhaust in the bathroom. As when taking bath with hot water there is very little place for the steam to go outStaff was very nice towards kids. Have lot of empty space which can be used to put swings/slides so kids can enjoy more. Kitchen staff is really very nice

Taj is Taj! Even though the property saw low occupancy due to lockdown months and travel restrictions for over a year, the property dint reflect it. Rooms were bright and not stuffy from neglect. Service was crisp with that Taj warmth which ONLY Taj can give its guests. Gardens were well maintained. Patches of it was being maintained. Food was superb! Although menu wasnt elaborate it was sufficient for a variety of experience over 3n stay. Mutton khandeshi, misal, tawa paranthas, alu paranthas, oriental cuisines, pizza, all super top class! The chefs coming to meet and greet the dine in guest made it feel extra welcoming. Even room change was done without a fuss. Everyone is just there to help you and with a smile and humility. Staff was low but one never felt so. Lovely getaway! And The 4D promo made it great vfm too! Vivek, Pawan, Gautam, the housekeeping guys, restaurant service staff, servers, captains..each and every one deserves an applause! Well done all you guys!

I was alloted a room which was at the end of hallway and there was no view from balcony. Room furnishing, bathroom fittings etc. are old and obsolate and should be upgraded keeping in view the standard vivanta hotels maintain usually. TV screen was also small compared to size of room. Apart from that, it was a pleasent stay. Breakfast had lot of options and staffs were very polite and helpful.

B - Grade Taj Hotel, managed by hospitality school students, who provide tasteless food. They should be paying the guests instead, as guests are the Victim of their students experiments. We had a schooling conference here, and the ACs were not functioning, even after notifying the GM Chkaravarthy, still no heed was paid. Service is worse than a 1 star hotel. AVOID at any given chance.

Very recently me and my family were put up in this property and I must admit that the stay was worth every moment right from check in to check out.The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.I would hereby like to make a special mention of my restaurant experience where we had some initial hiccups with the order as there was some confusion with theBuffet spread however, the Chef Mr.Nishikant and his team went out of their way to ensure that the same was compensated and more. I would also like to mention Ms Viva from the restaurant who I noticed never failed to give a personal touch to her service. Overall a very good and comfortable stay and must say that the team is just great.. living up to the name of the brand.However one little suggestion would be to take acare of the garden as I could see lot many plants dying.

Aurangabad was not a place in my mind which I ever thought I would visit! I had heard of Ajanta, Ellora but never off hand was I interested in this place and when my wife suggested it and I actually googled it and read about it, I realized what a great vacation I may be looking forward to and it indeed was! And what made this vacation even more memorable was Taj Vivanta Aurangabad. I must say that there is a reason taj is such a well loved brand and its because the employees at Taj group are very responsive, quick and decision makers. I love it, i REALLY LOVE IT! Great work Kapil.We reached the hotel and Sandipta at front desk was quite efficient at the check in. It took us less than five minutes to do it and she helped me with an upgrade and I really cant thank her enough for it! Sandipta may you grow further in your line of work and keep your decision making skills.The property is actually quite nice and feels like a haveli and has good rooms, a nice lawn, a great pool and pretty nice rooms, specially the balconies are such an incredible addition to them with those Jhoolas!The restaurant has only one problem and that is that the music is repetitive, some one needs to go change that play list. The food is outstanding, the chefs are great! In their restaurant you will meet a certain ever smiling and supremely attentive Mr SHYAMAL. Amazing work at taking care of us Shyamal. Ankush and Vikram are also great! This hotel is totally worth the stay and easily the best at Aurangabad! Go enjoy this place when you are visiting it! One of those hotels which provides luxury n peace of mind. Space is beautifully maintained with a huge garden area. Pool space is quite big but not secluded. Lots of insta worthy pics can be taken here. Just explore the property. Rooms are spacious and standard with all amenities. Best part is the balcony. Food is too yumm and presentation is topclass. Breakfast spread was not huge but had all south Indian options along with some continental food. Disappointed with dessert options (probably corona effect). Overall really good experience. Highly recommend this place 👌

Sanctuary and SerenityRight from the minute we stepped into this paradise of a property, we felt insulated from the chaotic commotion, noise and the crowd of the grimy old city. While this property might not be the finest of Taj(and might feel dated) the hospitality, tranquility, and royal vibe of the place radiates old world luxury. And that too, at the price we paid this was a Royal Steal!LOCATION: Excellent location that is close to all Points of interest locally, and on the highway to the World famous Ajanta cavesDINE + DRINK: Lovely Alfresco dining at the Latitude restaurant was our thing to do throughout our stay here. We enjoyed our Morning Breakfast, Evening Coffee, and Night Dinner all at the outdoor seating. And in the night the backdrop of the array of trees in front of the lawns coupled with the Bonfire made this feel like almost a Jungle lodge in the midst of NatureROOM: We stayed in 310, which was a wonderful Suite Room, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Lovely view of the Lawn, Pretty array of Trees, the pool and more of nature; SIZE: Huge suite with a separate living and dining area, 2 Bathrooms, couple of lovely balconies(with romantic Swings!) and a massive Terrace area which was the absolute highlight of the room!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: bathroom with a Bathtub shower TOILETRIES: Excellent Spa quality Cosmetics by INNARA BrandFACILITIES: No Gym or Pool option(Both were closed during our stay) but the pool did look pretty cool!SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Heritage (like) property, perfect for break & to rejuvenate during long journeys.Vivanta by Taj is a heritage (like) property though it needs a few improvements to match Taj standards & recently it seems the property was not well maintained specially the garden area.1. Covid safety: 100% all measures followed2. Location : not centrally located though it has immediate vicinity to Dmart and another public event premise nearby it sometimes would be a nuisance during events (Google Maps helped me to find it easily).3. Room : Spacious rooms with huge terrace overseeing the garden4. Food : the menu was cut down to follow the Covid measures but the staff tried their best to compensate in terms of service levels.Staff Service : staff is very much courteous & helpful. Special mention of Shyamal Mandal in restaurant for arranging special starters. Head Chef & Reception lady was very much hospitable.5. Room Amenities & Furnishing : Good Theme with all features.6. Property : it is similar to olden times structure like palace / haveli which is surrounded by dense trees. The trees act as a habitat for few of the bird species which we do not encounter daily but occasionally.Swimming pool is adjoining to the lawn area though on a little elevated platform at which you could have a good view of the lawn and property.7. Great property and possibly the best star rated place in Aurangabad. If your day plan involves fair bit of time at the hotel then you should definitely stay here and not look beyond. If not, then the place may not offer a lot of value. Food is good but not a lot of authentic Aurangabadi cuisine. Green spaces are fabulous along with the ambience. Neighbouring developments take the sheen off the property elevation. Theres a very intrusive DMart next door now. Overall a great place to stay and unwind in Aurangabad.

One of the iconic and the largest hotel chain of India 🇮🇳The Taj is not only know for its hospitality but also as a trustful hotel brand.The first thing after hearing the name Taj comes in mind is luxury and Exoticness what all they offers to their customers.Taj itself named after crown which stays always on the top, therefore the hotel provides all the top quality products and service.The management staff and ambience of the hotel is out of the world, once you should visit to this hotel in your life.

I booked the hotel for my brother on his first anniversary and was really hopeful that they would enjoy their stay here but their experience was really really bad and was least expected from the Taj hotel. I have called multiple times to ensure that everything is sorted as planned and confirmed with them regarding the same. Without a doubt I have to leave a bad rating for their stay at this hotel (on google and TripAdvisor) Anyway the list of things that went bad: 1. I have reserved a table in their name, and also confirmed with the manager twice on the number they gave me to talk to. But when our guests went there they were informed of no such reservations made in their name. 2. A cake was planned per the phone conversation I had with the hotel and wasnt provided to them :( It was the only reason I agreed to pay about little more from what was present on their website for the same room. But sadly no such thing was provided. Sadly it totally ruined their first anniversary :-( The only reason I booked taj was because of my previous stay at the same hotel in Tirupati (during COVID) and I was really impressed with the measures taken by that hotel but sadly this hotel did not meet the expectations at all. :-( Hope this will be improved in future.
