Been living here many years and never knew this place was here. Such a hidden gem. Love the exposed brick wall and bright natural light. Discount for teachers, military and first responders which is an added plus. Went today for first time and Melissa was incredibly kind and made great suggestions to me and my son. Will definitely be back!

If youre looking for a coffee place thats not pretentious, and just offers amazing coffee and tea, and a relaxing but vibrant atmosphere, look no further. The beans are roasted in house, there are flags supporting police, fire, and various military branches, and the staff are down to earth, but courteous and helpful. And the coffee is fantastic. This is my go to spot if I want some good java and a good atmosphere to plug in and get some work done.

Ubora Coffee felt like a hidden gem in Augusta. The Exposed brick wall, fresh roasting smell in the air, with tons of natural light and hardwood table add to relaxing ambient. It was the perfect place to hunker down on a Sunday morning to get work done. Ubora has a modest selection of drinks, with knowledgeable baristas that offer more than just light conversation. This is a place to study, catch up with coffee and snack the morning away. I wish they were open beyond 3pm but such is life.

Good coffee shop. Veteran owned which is a plus. Great Coffee that they roast themselves and the baristas make great drinks.Plenty of tables and chairs so you could easily spend an afternoon or morning here studying or working. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead 5 is because the girl who was supposed to be at the register seemed more interested in talking to a friend who walked in than tending to the customers in line. However, the other employees seemed to be working hard and were offering good customer service.

I found Ubora a few months back and have been coming here ever since. It is an excellent place to study or hang out with friends & family. This place has a warm & friendly vibe. Their coffee tastes fantastic & they have a variety of options for coffee/tea. Every single person working at Ubora is incredible! They are friendly, welcoming, & quick at picking up on what you like/dislike. Their suggestions on different drinks based on your preferences are on point. I love this place & recommend it to all the coffee/tea lovers.

I am not a coffee drinker but my friend raves about the coffee at Ubora. She loves it so much she drives about 30 minutes on the weekend to get some.Today we met there to pick up some donuts and I purchased a decaf latte with almond milk. It was a pleasant surprise and taste. It wasnt bitter like coffee I tried in the past, it was smooth and light. I can definitely see myself returning for a cup.

Absolutely best coffee shop in Augusta Ga! I have lived here in Augusta my entire life. Meaning I have also tried every coffee shop in Augusta as well. The roast and flavors Ubora has is top notch. Unlike any other and in my opinion unmatchable. I first stumbled upon this coffee shop after my study abroad trip to Italy, the home to expresso! When I came home I had a different taste for coffee and I could not find what I wanted until I stumbled upon ubora. Before they opened I came in and was immediately was amazed at the atmosphere and the set up. Because Augusta did not have something like this ever before. Ubora is one of the most unique and newer vides for a downtown restaurant. They have an absolutely amazing staff that takes the time to make and craft every drink, Melissa, Stacy, Seth, Juan. At ubora it’s not just coffee to them it’s a craft, it’s an art. They truly want you to enjoy your coffee, but as well as your experience at their restaurant! It’s military owned, but as well as well as a small local business! It’s not a franchise! Great place! Great coffee! And an amazing experience that you will not regret!

Ubora Coffee Roasters has been open for just a week and this place is already booming with business!!! Andre Leon, the business owner and coffee afficionado, says so far Saturday’s are his busiest days. They have already went through pounds of coffee beans.Andre looked all over town to find a perfect coffee shop and with no luck, he built his own. He wanted to enter the market and show Augustans the right way coffee should be made. The area being saturated with big coffee corporation chains who mass produce coffee and don’t take pride in the taste and end result of coffee. Also, their employees can’t produce a handmade coffee drink. They press a button and voilá, coffee is produced from a machine!!! The special thing about this place, Andre gives one on one hands on training to all baristas he hires. Most of them having worked as baristas before he still has to start from ground 1 with them.I was able to try a Vanilla Latte. I’m not familiar with all types of coffee, so I did step out of my comfort zone and try it. It wasn’t bad. Even though it was a little bitter for me, but Nora, the manager, added more vanilla favor to my drink and made it drinkable for me.The menu is full of affordable options. There are also pastries and handmade sandwiches offered here, to indulge in while you are having your drinks. They all looked delicious, but I couldn’t decide on which one I wanted to try so I didn’t try one at all.Andre is a native of Brazil, an active duty officer in the Navy stationed at Fort Gordon, a world traveler having traveled to 20+ countries and 50+ cities. While in another country he was able to try a proper cup of coffee and this in turn made him wondering how coffee is made and what was the whole process of bringing someone a perfect cup of coffee.Only in his early thirties, he had more knowledge about coffee than people who have been enjoying coffee for over 50 years. You can see his passion when he discusses his coffee, his business, the process of roasting coffee in-house, and his being behind the bar and making coffee for customers. The staff is small, yet they have been trained by Andre on how to make a perfect cup of coffee. Nora is to manage of this operation and keeps the business running smoothly. Tony, the coffee roaster, is a whiz at manning the roaster and keeping track of the perfectly roasted coffee or the not so good coffee so they are able to replicated it or tweek and correct the formula they produced.Ubora means excellence in the language of Swahili. Andre wanted a name to mean something since he is dedicated to bringing the Augusta area a fresh and proper cup of coffee and other coffee based drinks. Andre and his team tried and tested over 50 different kind of coffee beans from all over the world and only 8 made the cut to be used in the daily coffee rotation here.I love the swanky feel of the place. The baristas are dressed in formal clothing giving it a very upscale look and the shop is spacious and chic!!! You can tell Andre and his team took pride into what he was bringing to the area. I was able to see the roasting process first hand from Andre and Tony. It’s such a fascinating processI see why Andre is so wrapped up into coffee. I’m already making plans to stop in and try more coffee drinks. Even if it’s to bask in the atmosphere of this extraordinary place!!!

If you’re taking a day to explore Augusta, start the day off here where they make coffee the right way, deliciously and simple. We had a cappuccino and a hot cocoa. Both were made very well and fairly priced for the quality. The atmosphere inside is everything you’d want a cafe to be and more. It’s warm, cozy, and embodies a warm mug of what they serve.

First timer and will definitely be back. The tables were spaced out enough if you want to eat/drink inside and there was ample space to not feel crowded while waiting for my to go order. Staff was all masked up. 😷 I wanted to try something different, but honestly was too tired and depressed to decide. The barista was super friendly and gave a great recommendation, even offered to heat my muffin up for me. (Most places I have to ask). I will definitely be back whenever I am in town.

Great coffee shop! Definitely more than meets the eye - outside the shop you can really smell the coffee beans roasting, inside is gigantic with high ceilings and lots of space. The iced chai lattes we got were amazing and not overly sweet like most places. Service was fast and friendly. They sell their coffee beans there and online as well. It’s a great place to set up and work; they play music so there’s a nice buzz without it being overly loud and disruptive. If you’re in need of coffee in the Augusta area you should try it out here!

Today was my first time trying Ubora Coffee and it certainly wont be my last. I decided to be lazy and order via Waitr with a contact me option if an item was out of stock. I promptly received a phone call letting me know an item was out of stock and was given a suggestion for a new item to try. In all I ordered, the three cheese panini, blueberry muffin, ham and cheese croissant, cold brew, and iced Vietnamese coffee. Of no fault of their own, Waitr was over two hours late delivering my food to me. Throughout this time, Ubora kept me updated on the steps they had taken to try reaching out to Waitr and that the food unfortunately could not be remade as they were out of sandwiches. I used to work F&B so Im typically very understanding of delays, but I was pleasantly surprised that Ubora kept me in the loop regarding my order and what to expect. Despite the food being cold, it all tasted amazing! The coffee was very delicious with a good bold (but not overwhelming) flavor. In all, Im very glad I ordered from here as its apparent the staff cares about providing the customer with quality product and a pleasant experience.

We came here this past Saturday and chilled with some coffees for a little while. I had a Nutella frozen coffee and my wife had a latte with heavy cream. Both drinks were delicious and well made. We chatted with one of the folks working behind the counter, and he made us feel right at home. They have a bar at the counter where you can sit, which to me is an awesome idea. You can sit, order, drink and chat right there. They even give recommendations if you’re feeling spontaneous! They serve cafe food here as well, which we haven’t tried yet but we are eager to do so! This place is probably a downtown staple for us now. We can’t wait to go back!
