Thoroughly enjoyed our meal from Indian Cafe. We were disappointed that they were takeout only during the pandemic, but the owners were very sweet and gracious. The food was tasty and they threw in lots of extras so we did not feel like we were missing out. We will definitely be back when driving through Augusta again. Stop in and support a wonderful local businesses :-)

Good prices. Great indian taste, one of the best Indian foods I have had. Mom and pops restaurant. Only open about half of the week. Would at least give it a try.

Its a wonderful home cooked Indian meal. The owners really seem to enjoy what theyre doing. The wife cooks and the husband works the tables. We enjoy going in there for the personal treatment. The food is five star. The only reason Im rating 4 is the atmosphere is a little quirky.

One of my favorite places to eat. A lovely older couple run this place. And you get the sense youre eating an authentic Idian home cooked meal. Ive loved everything Ive tried. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try Indian cuisine. Only thing is be prepared to wait a little. They are under staffed for serving a bigger crowd, but its worth the wait.

Fantastic. Large portions, friendly owners and great taste... I was impressed. Everything was good. Better than the other Indian Ive had in town. I will definitely be coming back.Brownie ice cream dessert was amazing (and getting it offered complimentary was even better). Highly recommended.

Our favorite restaurant! Warm and welcoming. Enjoy the equivalent of a home cooked meal by an excellent chef or great Mom in her personal kitchen. Meals are cooked individually so be patient as one plate at a time is served. If you hit a slow moment Priya aka Mary, will come out to greet you with her big smile and warm heart. In spite of her fabulous Indian cooking with many dishes from Southern India, her brownies are delicious!

Great authentic Indian food. We come hear at least twice a month and the food is always great. We tried several dishes and they all are very tasty. The owners are a wonderful friendly couple, the wife is the awesome cook and her husband serves. It is a real family atmosphere. We are so happy we found this jewel tucked away in a corner.

We have been guests at India Cafe for years, and we continue to be impressed by the delicious and creative dishes, generous portions and the friendly owners. Its a husband wife team, and they will get to know you if they have time. Theres a good variety of vegetarian as well as meat, chicken, and fish. Its small, only a few tables, and if its busy you had better not be in a hurry.

Tucked away, Like a hidden Gem. This food is better than Taj, If you like that place; You have to try India Cafe! The food I ordered was quite savory, and left me wanting more. It is in the back of the business center, do not get distracted by the indian place in the front. The establishment was clean and the staff friendly and courteous. I give it 5 stars, go give it a try!

Less of a restaurant and more like a cafe. Decor is very basic but the food was well prepared, tasty and enjoyable. My only personal criticism is that even through I asked for it to be extra-spicy (to my palate) the Vindaloo was still disappointingly mild. However ambiance was fun, the Bollywood movie was amusing and despite Service being very slow - we had a pleasant evening. So don’t expect a quick meal. Sit down, order yourself 2 beers, otherwise you will have to wait for ages to get a waiter to deliver a second one ;)

Hands down the best Indian food in Augusta and some of the best Indian food I’ve had, the people who work there are also super friendly, my only complaint is that they have incredibly limited hours, to the point that I’ve only been there twice in the three years I’ve lived in Augusta, I wish they stayed open even an hour later, even if only on the same nights they are already open because I really miss their food

Well, it’s not as impressive as it looks in the picture. Food, don’t want to talk about it.it seems there is a staff of three. At least if I am not mistaken I saw three people behind the kitchen entrance door when I had to tap on to have their attention that I was there for dinner.I asked for lamb qorma which was a combo of rice + vegetables. Nan/ roti would have been additional charge, glad did not ask for it.Lamb qorma was ridiculously not worth eating. Indians don’t know how to cook meat. Any Indian restaurant, please never try a meat dish. They are not meat eater, hence they don’t know how to cook.Don’t understand why they offer/ serve meat curry/ qorma.Would any one , please tell them not to have meat dish on manue. For “Bhagwan” sake don’t pick-pocket the customers. And yet man the owner did not seem to be considerate and charged me full and on the bill suggesting the tip as well. Come on man!Never Never Again!Good luck with your family business.

I hate to give 2 stars because owner is so nice and this restaurant will give you a home atmosphere, but the taste is not reflecting the same.Very limited items for vegetarians and in that if you try chhola Bhatura, you will start hating Indian food. So oily and not cooked in a proper manner. We got complimentary chocolate browny and it was delicious.I think Non Veg dishes and South Indian food in nice (bcz of all positive reviews), but its a no go for a North Indian Veg and spice lover.

Great Indian Food and way better value than Taj of India of Fury Ferris Rd. Taj of Indias food is good, but theyre way more expensive and give smaller portions. At Taj of India, if you order Aloo Ghobi (spiced potato and cauliflower) itll be around $22 for a single portion and the naan is separate. At India Cafe, youll pay $15 dollars for a serving big enough to feed two people, with naan bread included in the price, and theyll give you a delicious brownie for free with every meal. The food even tastes better than Taj of India, and they give you more for less. Also the owners are very hospitable, and love to converse with their patrons. The owners/management at Taj of India has a more hurry up and buy so you can leave my establishment type of attitude that I dont like. The only thing I hate about India Cafe is their minimal hours of operation and that they are closed on Mondays in which case... I am unfortunately forced to give my business to Taj of India as a last resort option to curb my craving.
