My new TUXEDO Aura 15 is a gem!I was just happy to have an option of buying a notebook without having to pay the MS tax (really Canada, you disappoint me), and what I got is way more than just a notebook.What those fine people at Tuxedo Computers build is solid, elegant, light as a feather, comfortable and works to perfection. Not only does it come with their excellent TUXEDO_OS, but it runs flawlessly with any of my favourite Linux distros. And to top it all, the prices are great. I received the Tuxedo book XP Gen 12 today. The laptop that I got was not able to use it, because the keyboard doesnt work properly ( keyboard layout:US-ISO international).I see the sticker called quality checked, but I wonder how they could deliver a laptop which one could not use it. I have emailed the support team but I dont know how long would they take to sort out this issue.I see that that these products needs to be properly tested before its shipped.

I will buy all my future laptops from Tuxedo Computers.I love tech, particularly computers, my desktop is one I built myself and while it has not let me down I eventually needed a laptop since you can only code so much at your desk. Aware of the myriad of choices out there I did a deep dive into the options available in my prize range. Eventually, I settled on trying a custom build from Tuxedo computers. Their offers seemed to me to be quite fair, so my only real worry was the build quality and whether their version of Ubuntu would be anything decent.After two months of heavy usage I am happy to report that this is probably the only laptop I have ever bought which I have zero regrets about. It is literally amazing! The build quality is off the charts, their tuxedo_os brings some fun features and it comes with ten gigs of cloud storage for free, all while observing the quite strict German data protection laws.I am continuously blown away by this laptop. My Desktop has been reduced to a gaming only machine because my programming and data analysis workload is just so insanely smooth on the wonderful Aura 15. I chose to go for a pretty low spec build (the desktop is there in case I need a beefy GPU) but it feels like I am working on a computer that could cost twice what I had to pay. Yes it is just that good!Typing feels better than on a Macbook, primarily because the case does not get as cold if you are outside and because their keyboard on the Aura 15 is incredibly responsive and feels great. Of course Id be remiss to omit that most keyboard layouts you can choose come with an incredibly cute pengu button which you should be excited about.The screen is a lovely IPS panel and I am totally happy with it. I can labour away on this machine for hours on end without wrist or eye problems, which is far from a given for me. This machine gave me a huge bump in productivity and I have recommended Tuxedo computers to more friends and colleagues than I care to admit. If you are in the market for a laptop I am sure that you will be getting the best product possible if you choose to trust this lesser known company, I certainly do and that is after I had to wait quite a while for my laptop because I bought it around Christmas in what will probably be remembered as the Covid or Zoom years.Whether you want a Linux machine (you definitely should btw) or are still tied to Microsoft, they offer to pre-install any Linux distribution, Windows or a dual boot set up.If you made it through this wall of text I am sure the last part is obvious, but yeah I recommend them very highly! Six stars out of five.

I have purchased three laptops from Tuxedo. Each of these machines been great. However, their customer service is simply non-existent. The screen broke on one of my new laptops and so i contacted them for service. No response. Then I contacted them again after nearly two weeks. No response. Then I contacted them again. No response. Each time I receive an email indicating that they will contact me. No response. Seriously guys. What gives? This is simply put, the worst customer service I have ever (not) encountered in my life. The tricky thing is that they specialize in linux machines, so its difficult to find a local repair shop that can service them. I hate to say it, but because of this, I will no longer be a patron of Tuxedo, nor will I recommend them to others. You guys have lost a previously satisfied customer.

I ordered a laptop with the latest chip in it, which is also used for the PlayStation5. The chip is so good that its sold out worldwide and this makes it hard to ship new laptops.After a while i rang customer service to receive an update and can I just say that I had one of the best calls in a long while with one of the customer service representative!It was such a warm, professional and to the point call, i had full trust in that they will sent out my laptop whenever they could during a pandemic and this run on the chip!It blew me away that I received my laptop way earlier than i thought and even 1 day earlier than the track&trace code said it would. I cried happy tears.The laptop is SO FAST and good, I have 0!! Issued with it and it didnt freeze/jammed once. I type faster, i can concentrate better and work with ease again.And did you know you get one cute pinguïn (from Linux!) on your keyboard as a home key? Absolutly fangirling about this!My enormous thanks to Tuxedo! You made my life so much easier, i am finally proud about my laptop!!

Never again Tuxedo.First the laptop was delivered late, and whoever put it together forgot to connect the battery to the motherboard. Then, after 4 months vertical lines appeared on the screen. I am told the Garantie does not cover mechanical faults. Never again Tuxedo.

I have just received my new Pulse 15 laptop and it is working great. I installed my favourite distro in couple of minutes and had no issues whatsoever. Their support team was really friendly and went beyond in helping me with my order.

My InfinityBook is quite simply and equivocably the best machine I have ever worked with. It comfortably accomplishes any task I throw at it, coding or admin. Whether C, Go, Python or Shell; Ansible, Docker, KVM/Qemu or Puppet, the machine handles it all with elan. And so quietly (unless I *really* hammer a compiler or hypervisor)!!

Its been almost a month now, my order is still in processing and Ive not been able to reach them to know what is going on. They ghost my emails, calls and messages sent via their website. I’ve been a Linux user for a long time and I thought that buying from these guys was a nice way to support the open source ecosystem.My experience has been bad: they forgot to assemble the WiFi adapter and sent me a practically unusable laptop . But the worst part is that they don’t have a very efficient customer service: you send them an email, hope they read it, and wait pretty much days to hear a reply from them.Plus, they did nothing to compensate for their mistake and my wasted time, they didn’t even say they’re sorry!I must say that I don’t recommend them, probably you’d be better going to some competitor and save yourself some time/disappointment/stress.It’s a shame, because I really like the laptop.

I was looking for a new laptop on which to run Linux when I heard about Tuxedo Computers - the idea of hardware that is made to run Linux and the positive reviews on Google persuaded me to go for it. Here is my experience.Ill start with the good news. The laptop is powerful (I run machine learning code in Python) and the display looks good. The microphone also got positive feedback from a friend during a video call. Now the not so good news. After working for initial setup, the hard drive failed to boot. There was some exchange with their customer service and eventually it seems that the problem lies with the make/model of hard drive. In addition to this, the audio through HDMI has interference (I have tried connecting from both HDMI and USB-C + HDMI to different displays - the interference is always the same).Both of these problems suggest ineffective testing before sale and shipping.The resolution of the hard drive problem is still ongoing around 6 weeks after reporting it. They appear to be willing to help and to replace components (including sending a new hard drive), however their customer service is clearly overloaded. For email the reply can take weeks and they did not answer my last phone calls - for example I was put on hold music for around half an hour and then the call disconnected. When they have replied by email, the answers are usually rushed and as a result are sometimes unhelpful. It is especially frustrating because I believe that if someone spent just 5 minutes they could resolve my case. I have not reported the audio problem because I think it will be more effort than it is worth to resolve and the laptop has a 5mm jack, which works without interference.I can only assume that they did business in a better way in the past - hence their strong Google rating - but my experience is that I have received a defective laptop and that they are unable to deal with my resulting communication. When I have spoken to customer service, I have been told that they are prioritising new orders. This is another way of saying that they will be helpful when someone is buying a laptop but less so when it goes wrong. As someone who values customer service, especially when buying an expensive product, I wouldnt buy from them again. Its a shame really, I think the laptop could be good, if only they took a bit more care.

I have just received a custom made Notebook from Tuxedo Computers and am very satisfied with the new Notebook.For the first time I had the feeling that a device has no weak points and comparing setups with the same components on other suppliers sites also gave me the impression of devices that are well worth their price.That is, IF a comparison can be made, the degree of specifics of hardware components supplied by Tuxedo is not often found elsewhere.With the preinstalled Linux system it was ready for work out of the box.

Bought a computer new (2 months ago), arrived last month, as of Nov 1, I can not use it. Why? it has a fan problem since day 1 (I did not even install anything yet), a very loud fan noise even during the first boot and I did not even run the any program (and I did not block any of air flow). Emailed the customer support within one day. Told me to run a system diagnostics. I did it within a day. Waited 2 weeks to finally hear a reply. Here are their solutions: (1) do clean install. Ok, I did it. Solve the problem? no, the fan loud noise still persisted. I even sent a video of the computer to show the noise and the system load.And you what? The next solution the customer support suggested was: that noise is horrible, thats bad.One thing that might help is to create a new profile in the TuxedoControlCenter, there are the number of CPU-Cores to reduce and then the noise should go away.

We had some initial problems with the TUXEDO Book BU1407. Tuxedo Computers promptly addressed our concerns and they sent us a replacement. We are very happy with the customer service, the quality of the device is excellent, and its simply great value for your money.We can only highly recommend Tuxedo Computers to everybody! As a non-German speaker, I was a little apprehensive about ordering from Tuxedo. However, besides being able to make use of a web-site that was fully functional in English, I also had no difficulties using English both in email and on the phone. In the end, I received the computer (InfinityBook Pro 13 v3) 5 working days after I ordered it. Im especially pleased that they have tweaked the machine to make it easy to use.

I bought a computer from them. Delivery was prompt but the computer wouldnt start. All cables were bound so tight together that a few connectors had gone loose.When that was okay and the computer started i discovered that thd dvd player didn want to work and i dicovered thet SATA slot 3 could not be used if the m2 connector was also used.Everything worked then, but it made me wonder if their qa-system is up to date. I would expect that a computer is tested before it is sent to a customer.For the rest it is working great now.I now also bought a laptop. Installed Manjaro and its working great. There were drivers even in the repository for the keyboard lights.

I bought an insanity-book 15 about 6 months ago to replace my MacbookPro. Thoroughly happy with my choice, and the price difference! The service and communication was excellent, and the shipment arrived within 2 weeks which was good for all of the customisation I had. Its a very fast and stable machine and well able for multiple VMs, dev and SysOps work that I do, as well as gaming during my down time. I also record music and do photo editing with it and it is well able for these tasks too. I just wish Id bought an extra power supply for the convenience.

After more than a week I received an auto-generated email with the information for 50 €, I can send the device in. However, that could have been in the first answer mail ... Absolute waste of time. To this day there has been no response to further inquiries.The device is broken after less than 3 years. The main board has burned out. Ich bin seit über 30 Jahren Computer Enthusiast, baue und repariere PCs und Notebooks, hab oft festangestellt in diversen IT Firmen gearbeitet.Die Firma Tuxedo empfinde ich als maximal unehrlich, unaufrichtig und auch manipulativ.Für meinen 83 jährigen Vater sollte ich einen Rechner kaufen.Zu erst habe ich mir einen Intel Nano bzw Nuc ausgesucht - da seh ich dass es das Intel Gerät ist, halt mit einem saftigen Tuxedo Preisaufschlag - für das Versprechen, das alles zu 100% funktioniert.Das Gerät hat KEIN speziell auf Linux optimiertes BIOS.Nun das Gerät kostet ein paar Hundert Euro mehr, dafür ist es aber lagernd und ich hab den guten Tuxedo support.Genau! Nach ca. 2 Monaten fällt Tuxedo dann auf, dass es das Gerät doch nicht lagernd hatte, wie versprochen - gut kleine Lügen sind halbe Warheiten - weiter so.Da ich unbedingt dieses Prozeß zu einem guten Ende führen wollte habe ich mich dann noch zweimal von Tuxedo überreden lassen auf ein anderes Model zu wechseln.Nach 3 Monaten und drei Bestelländerung dann meine Erkenntnis, das Tuxedo doch sehr unaufrichtig war direkt mein Geld einzukassieren und mir zu versprechen die benötigten Bauteile seien lagernd - was anscheinend wohl überhaupt nicht der Warhheit entsprach.Ich habe dann direkt storniert - und das Geld hatte ich dann auch keine 4 wochen später - also über 4 Monate vebrannt und mir schöne Tuxedo Geschichten angehört - Danke Tuxi!Dann habe ich direkt bei Alternate bestellt - das ganze dann ungefährt 300 Euro billiger und am nächsten Tag geliefert. Und da es das selbe Gerät ist funktioniert es auch zu 100% unter Linux - ganz ohne die ehrlichen und besonders aufrichtigen Tuxedos.

Ich habe mir einen richtig aufgemotzten DesktopPC (Hardware im Maßanzug) konfiguriert und den auch bestellt. Zunächst war ich mal erstaunt darüber wie schnell ich den PC erhalten habe, aber auch wie toll der verpackt war, sogar im Gehäuse war irgend so ein Zeugs was die Grafikkarte schützte. Es ist alles fein säuberlich zusammengebaut, da hängen keine Kabel in der Gegend herum. Da der PC schon offen war nützte ich gleich die Gelegenheit und verbaute ein paar Festplatten, was komplett Problemlos war, jeden Menge Schrauben und Netzteilkabel sind dabei. PC anschlossen eingeschaltet und siehe da- ein wirkliches Top Gerät.Da ich sehr viel mit wirklich „großen“ Dateien zu tun habe (Video rendern) was entsprechend Rechenleistung braucht kann ich mich jetzt entspannt zurücklehnen, denn der PC schafft es um vieles Schneller als alle bisher dagewesenen PCs. Und selbst bei 100% Auslastung stört das Lüfter Geräusch kaum, man hört ihn, aber mehr schon nicht. (Da können meine Wassergekühlten einpacken was die für einen Wirbel machen und zudem langsam sind)So nach einen Monat kann ich nur sagen, das ist wirklich eine sehr gute Qualität zu einem vernünftigen Preis.(Funktioniert auch bestens mit Win Betriebssystem, brauch ich leider noch ab und zu)Ich kann Tuxedo Computer nur weiterempfehlen, die verstehen ihr Handwerk zu einem vernünftigen Preis.

From the first contact to delivery, really great.I recently purchased the BC1510 with an Intel i7. The device makes a very solid impression, looks valuable and is very stable. The 15 display offers matte Full-HD resolution, just wonderful.The hinge doesnt creak and keeps the display stable in the desired position.Typing on the keyboard (Im pretty peculiar) is very fluid and certain details are appreciated. By default, the F-keys are active and not the multimedia keys as it seems to be in fashion recently and strangely enough, F4 lacks a symbol, on purpose! That makes orientation easier.The numeric keypad is also a bit further separated from the rest, not much but noticeable in daily work.The Fn key isnt the outermost key either.Since it is NOT a notebook CPU, the running time is of course a bit shorter, but about 4 hours I can get by with my work (development, surfing)The performance is really great. The built-in M.2 disk makes the whole thing nice and quiet and lightning fast. Waking up from standby, no problem .. The Schwuppdität gives you really satisfied pleasure .....Bluetooth just works ... In the settings the headset is connected and now I just have to switch it on. It is connected for a brief moment and the sound is redirected immediately ... Perfect ...WLAN just works ... AP only switched on after the laptop was switched on (on the train) and a short time later -> connected ...Then a slightly larger monitor setup:34 to Mini-DP, 24 to HDMI and internal display ... works ...Its a little heavier and a little clunky (2kg), but its also more of a desktop CPU (H and not U or even Y at the end of the name of the CPU) and I dont want to hear the fan all the time, by the way also not yet.In the company on Lenovo docking station? No problem, just download and install the Display-Link driver ... However, with me it gets off with the sound in connection with Bluetooth ... (but probably a very special setup)At home via Citrix, the sound and the microphone also work without problems via Bluetooth.It is a work device as I imagined it ... Although without handicraft fun and frustration, it just works :-)Double thumbs upMy next laptop or desktop? Definitely back at Tuxedo-Computers !!! Too bad. I would have loved to order a laptop from Tuxedo. You configure a laptop, push it into the shopping cart and shortly before ordering, you notice that the price is more than 10% more expensive than the configuration you made.You turn to Tuxedo and after two tickets the following answer comes back after a long letter:Sometimes the price on our website is not properly syncronized - the price in the shopping cart should be right.No, our prices are updated daily and calculated to the fourth digit after the decimal point and unfortunately I cannot set free pricing here, even if there was a sync error apparently yesterday. It is a shame that Tuxedo is made aware of such mistakes and then they do not meet you. If I hadnt carefully checked the shopping cart again, I would probably have bought it at the higher price without even realizing it. We even went through the configuration with the employees and they ran into the same problems.

Great laptops with strong RTX cards, I ordered one right away before they can no longer be bought for a reasonable price.

One star, because the answers from the service team and the dispatch of spare parts or repairs take far too long.I ordered a TUXEDO Book XC17 on Sep 27, 2020 and received it after 3 weeks.On 11/10 I opened a ticket because I had a problem with the keyboard that caused the system to crash.The device was still usable to a limited extent.The service answered only after 2 weeks. After some back and forth, on 9.12. suspected a hardware defect in the keyboard.It was agreed that the keyboard would be sent to me and that I would change it myself. After asking several times, I received the keyboard (corona-related) in April 2021, i.e. after almost 4 months. A call to the service team was again necessary for a return ticket, as the same was missing.Now, at the end of May, a fan is making grinding noises and is getting louder and louder. When I called the service team for the first time, I wanted to send the laptop in for repair. I was supposed to get a call back - didnt come. On the second call I got the suggestion to clean and inspect the fans myself before sending the computer in.So the computer opened again, vacuumed, no damage found and a service request sent again. And now Im waiting ...It is foreseeable that the computer will become unusable in a few weeks or will only run in fanless mode - an I7 with 0.8GHz.Conclusion: I think the equipment of the device with Linux is very successful, the rest of the hardware and especially the service is not possible.

Dear Tuxedo team, dear reader,For a long time I thought about how I should record my experience for posterity. I havent really found an answer to that.I ordered a TUXEDO Pulse 14 on March 16, 2021. At that time it was said that the hardware will be in stock from April 1st, 2021. I could count on 3 weeks + 5 days (individual logo) production - when ordering, I also asked whether the delivery time would be durable. This has been confirmed.Due to the long delivery time, I had chosen the payment last name.At some point the thought occurred to me: How do you actually want to laser my logo if this was not queried in the process ...After a few phone calls, I was able to deliver the logo to Tuxedo on April 16, 2021. I also paid in advance that day - maybe that would help ...Today - May 10th, 2021 - the last promise The notebook will go out on Monday [05/10/2021] at the latest ran out. The device is currently in the process of laser cutting ...Of course, a lot happened between April 16, 2021 and May 10, 2021:- Mr. Ak ** and Mr. I *** from support are very competent people. Mainly because of their use, the device went into production on May 5th- Two commitments have expired- 13 phone callsI would like to thank you personally for your support, but I can no longer accept the current situation as a reason for such a long delay.Thats why there is currently only one star from me.Enclosed the call list & order overview.

Very disappointing laptop purchase.As a Linux enthusiast, I use Linux extensively on my devices. So it made sense to buy a device from Tuxedo Computers. At the end of 2019 I bought a device here.Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the device and the support. First the keyboard broke (the space bar no longer responded to light presses). The device was then sent in and repaired. This took 4 weeks and only after I asked, was the device sent back.Now my battery is no longer charging correctly and support only reacts every 2-3 weeks. De facto I have a defective device and Tuxedo does not respond to my emails.I am very disappointed with the device and support. Its a shame!
