Malleswaran Mudi is deemed to be the resting place of Lord Malleswaran who is the reincarnation of Lord Shiva the deity of the Malleswaran Temple Chemmannoor Attapadi. It is the sacred place for the tribes Abbannur in Padavayal and Palluketti in Kakkuppady where only men in these two tribes are allowed to go up there and worship. It is said to be the sacred water from the head / jada/ mudi of Malleswaran is seen flowed there make it more unreachable to other people..

Good place for one day visit. Usually you ll need permission to climb the hill top.
