Another swanky and expensive restaurant at assagaoFood wasnt south Indian enough ....tamarind fish curry was not blended well ....it was a fish in a gravy ..not a fish curry!Kari patta prawns were nice and freshOverall very average expensive expeirnceCost - 3000 for 2 people

Great place for South Indian cuisine. Not too spicy for those of you afraid of pungent food. The mutton sukha and pork belly are a must try!

Gorgeous place, delicious food, run by one of the most passionate people. The love with which they serve their guests is evident in the taste and flavour of the food, the beautifully created space and the experience they provide. A must visit if youre in Goa!

Newest kid on the block in assagaon. A beautiful place tucked away in the corner. Perfect for a date night or a cozy meet up over drinks. They have spattered seating all around the house. Its an old goan house converted into a restaurant. Their drinks are top notch. Try their Karri patta gin for sure. Service is top notch. The staff is attentive and give you space and happy to accommodate small requests for customization. The food information did not live up to the hype for me. The options are very 8 to 12 small plates, 6 staples, 8 to 12 mains and 4 desserts. The prawns were good but too sour for my palette. The best dish of the evening for me was tge curd rice dont miss it.

Food is a bit overrated and overpriced the cocktails were definitely what got our pockets but the sad part is the alcohol content reduced drastically. After 5 cocktails each, ( 4 of us totally )non of us felt like we had any alcohol at all.We were pretty disappointed and dont we dont recommend Tamil Table at all...

Delighted to dine at this wonderful restaurant today! Housed in a restored old Goan house and located in the heart of Assagaon it offers genuine cuisine from TN and Pondicherry with delectable dishes on the menu. The cocktails menu is also elaborate and the bar space enticing! The service is superb and staff very hospitable. Will keep returning often to this place!

The menu is hardly Tamil - and the very few Tamil dishes are heavily lacking in flavour and authenticity. They refused to give us curd rice - are you kidding?!? Save your money and go to Gunpowder instead.- a very disappointed Tamilian

Tamil Table was a pleasant surprise I highly recommend the Mutton which and hoppers which were my absolute favorite ! the Vadas were fun , what make this place even more special is the Bar tucked in at the back with chef kartik himself banging out some great cocktails along with his humor. be sure to pop in to the store housed in the same property which has a great curation of designers and accessories . I must mention going there with two families the kids had a blast and the staff were so warm and helpfully we almost wanted to stay back for dinner ! def 5 stars and beyond cant wait for the Bar nights hopefully soon !!!

Absolute disappointment.Except all the frills (ambience and plates) food quantity and quality was poor. Excellent place for elite and strangers to Tamilian food - not for those who expect authentic Tamilian food..Expect dollops of tamarind in almost all recipes. Paid 3000 for two. Not recommending.

Tamil table surely did not live up to its name. I would give a thumbs up for the effort they have taken on the ambience and crockeries, but if the food is not up to the mark, there is really no point. The drinks were creative, for e.g.: where they tried to get rassam and alcohol together, with strong flavours of currey leaves, which gave it a very south indian touch. For food, the non veg was alright. Again, one particular mackerel dish that we ordered smelt really bad and couldnt eat it at all. Prawns Chettinad tasted good though.Being a tamilian myself, I have had and made sambar all my life. We wanted to try a simple sambar rice served here which turned out to be one of the worst sambars Ive ever had. Was super watery, huge chunks of vegetables which was difficult to serve and eat because it never really mixed with the rice well and wasnt flavourful at all.The waiter suggested, or rather, forced us to buy a basket of papad along with the sambar rice which is again not worth the money you put in. I mean, for the pricing they have out through for other dishes, a complimentary papad basket is something they can give to their customers. All the dishes are highly expensive and the quantity is not worth the money.Tamilians should definitely not go here, even if youre craving for South Indian food in Goa.

Positive is that its a very lovely setting and the food was good.Negative is that the menu is limited, especially for vegs. There are 3 veg mains and 6 non veg mains only.So if you dont find something that appeals to you bad luck. All alcohol is 60ml , so you will be charged 2X menu rates which are priced at 30ml. Pls tc.Probably will not visit again.

Tamil table is an exceptional restaurant in North Goa. Go there to have authentic Tamil Chettinad style food and inventive cocktails. Fantastic ambience to have a great dinner with a group and chill over multiple cocktails.

With a very limited menu, the least expected is good food. But in this case the prawns were raw, and paniyaram was under cooked. The place was exorbitantly priced...Wouldnt recommended it to anyone.

Set up in a Goan villa is this nice quiet place with energetic staff and very enthusiastic chef Kartik. The food is good. The mutton Sukka and sambhar ate great. I don’t eat pork but when the chef came and explained the slow cooked pork recipe i had to try. The flavours were extraordinary and the fact that the pork had soaked them so well. Kudos to the team you most certainly have a winner at hands. #musttryingoa . Start serving lunches too people tend to eat more then.
