Historical place for the Martins Light Railways, a British Company. It was built in 1865. The line was converted to broad gauge and also electrified in the late 1970s. It is located on Ashok Nagar Road of the Banipur, A G Colony locality in Ashok Nagar.

My home station. 2 platforms are there- one up line towards Bangaon Junction and one down line towards Sealdah via Barasat Junction.A lot of eating places, cosmetics stores, musical instrumental store etc are there on the either platforms.Resting sheds do have fans but no air conditioning facility is there.

Very crowded. Most of the platform is occupied by illegal vendors.

A popular railway station. Maximum railway passengers are use to travel Kolkata from here. Here digital train announcement system is installed about 6 to 7 year ago. There are digital time displayed system also available. Problem is that, there is no digital displayed system of train arrival or departure. Generally 2 times of announcement is declared prior to train arrival (near about 5 to 7 minutes ago). There is available of shade fan. Platform is generally crowded during morning and evening and late evening time. As because office passengers are there to arrive or depart. This is my primary railway station. Daily I use to travel by this station.

Calm and peaceful station. An over bridge that need maintenance. Unfortunately there is only one ticket counter in platform 1. So you have to cross the over bridge every time you have to cover a great distance changing platforms. Busy and crowded in office hours. Water points and toilets need urgent attention.Infested by hawkers and various stalls.. The rail gate is very close. The road to reach the platform is in a pathetic condition.

Challenging to arrive train at the morning towards dum dum... This station is important in this track..... scilent platform...... Well maintained platform ....... usually clean Everytime..... This platform situated not so far from Jessore road..... Ticket counter situated on platform number 1...... Shade is not covered the full station..... Birds crowded in the evening....
