Not here for the horses, but for the horsepower. This is the perfect venue for Historics classic car auction to hold their sale. With both interior and exterior displays. I can never afford any if the cars, however its a good day out if you are a petrol head. Where else could you get to sit in a £500,000 Aston Martin DB5?I feel the £30 entrance fee is a bit steep. But that does let 2 of you in.
It would have been more enjoyable if the weather had be sunny. Instead, because of the rain, everyone stayed inside and bars/restaurants didnt have enough seating space for everyone. I had to eat and drink while standing! Entertaining event otherwise, people watching at its best, ideal for everyone couple / friends / families/ work mates.
As a novice to horse racing and after winning tickets to come to Ascot I really wasnt sure what to expect, but Im glad I made the effort to travel down the country for the race. I felt safe inside the venue and all of the staff were very friendly and nice. My only issue was the price of drinks, but this is only minor and didnt really come as a surprise either.
Absolutely amazing clean and inviting staff obviously highly trained vastly experienced in both dealing with people and talking to people nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff to help on our visit special thanks to the Irish member of staff on level 4 in the only alcohol free zone if you like I cant remember his name shame on me but he stands out as a gentleman polite and extremely helpful thanks so much for making our day so special at Ascot racecourse
Came here as part of a corporate retreat as a token of thanks to staff for all the hard work made during lockdown. It certainly was not a disappointment, and actually the fact that it wasnt so crowded, it made the event even better. Lots of space for the group to enjoy, and find an area that suited us best plus lots of opportunity to roam around.Staff were very professional and helpful. Massive thanks to the lady at one of the food stands that let me use her phone charger while I enjoyed watching the races and enjoying a great reunion with my colleagues. The place was very clean and themed, and good amount of variety in food and drink. Although pricy (expected), wouldve been better if the food was warmer and more fresh. The ending was amazing as everyone danced together to great classic British songs. Wonderful evening as we finally got to experience a bit of normality again. The venue was certainly well prepared, no queues, very safe in terms of police presence/security and very safe with lots of Covid testing - either 2 tests before coming along or on the spot Covid testing.A massive thank you to all the staff that made this even possible!
Attended the support NHS day, Ascot fine, The company that organised was a bit of a shambles, none of the pre-printed event info was applied, the so called social distance options different coloured lanyards, even one had the same!
Very nice place, huge! Went for a meeting, not a race day but could imagine the atmosphere being exciting
Incredible place with so much energy, but such a maze, itd be easy to get lost.Do bear in mind if coming in via train too, that the walk is quite steep! The Racecourse does host a lot of restaurants, but I would recommend booking, especially during Royal Week
Lovely place to walk on the Heath. Peaceful and open to the public. Little place selling beverages and cold soft drinks plus snacks. Open on Non race days.Free car parking on Non race days nearby and coffee shops and pubs in Ascot high street.
Past the calm (no excitable behaviour please!) doorman, down the rabbit hole and into the smallest, loudest Mexican dive bar youve ever been to. Ice cold beers, cocktails and interesting characters; some hammered, some just in from finishing work in the local bars. It aint cheap, with a service charge on every order. But Ill go back! Had an amazing day with friends. A fun filled day with lovely choice of food.
Fine dining great views! Experience racing at Ascot with food served by sadexo... enjoy!
Great day out, 16 of us in a Private Box. Excellent food, faultless service & most of us had a few wins on the actual races. With thanks to Pam & Jan for inviting us and to Alice, Luke & Meg who looked after us so well!
First visit, which was admittedly corporate hospitality, but a very enjoyable experience. Well organised, staff helpful and nice. Enough people to provide atmosphere without being too crowded.
Stunning venue and a vist while the CAMRA festival is on couldnt be recommended more highly!
No better in the world, people and facilities but especially the horses we all come to see and cheer on. Shame about the betting but at least consistent
Grandeur and class. Too much fun
Ascot was more enjoyable this time round than our previous visits. Less people, less crowds (whilst still being extremely busy), less queues, toilets that remained cleaned (unlike so many times before which they werent after an hour) but all the fun as usual.
I look forward every year to the races. I have been watching for the last 7 years. Even though I cant be there I still am as excited each year. This year I was able to purchase a few items from the Ascot Racetrack Shop. Was within a week from order to delivery even.I would recommend watching the race as is fun to see the men dressed up in top hats and formal coats and of course the women in their hats. This year of course was different because of covid and did miss the royals as they usually arrive in carriages.I really enjoyed the guessing of what color the Queen would wear.Overall the race was 5 days and I enjoyed every minute.
My first visit wont be my last. It was beautiful. The facilities were top class, the prices reasonable. We had a fantastic day.
Went for auction coffee and sausage roll good
Lovely experience with work department team.
The event was well organized and numbers were severely restricted. We had two tests before and another five days afterwards. I was disappointed not to have a choice of restaurants to sit in and dine before the races began; the choices were very expensive hospitality (starting £749pp) or take away burger and chips, pizza or Thai. 🐴👗🥂🤞
Fantastic day at the races and I highly recommend the King Edward VII stand and the view of the whole course is stunning . The icing on the cake was Ryan Moore winning on the last two races which paid for the day ☺️
Best racecourse in the world.nuff said.
Great day out, up close to lots, ( pardon the pun) of Great cars.
Great day out, fantastic race course with fantastic facilitys and helpful staff... cant go wrong with this race course
Lovely area, worked on the AC
Like how they organised so beautifully and yes one of best racecourse, friendly staff
Great place to enjoy a days racing! Modern, comfortable surroundings but drink is over-priced!
Fabulous racecourse with lots of open space as well as a large grandstand. When not staging horse racing, there is the chance to walk around a tarmac inner circle road.
Only parked here for PGA golf at Wentworth, using park and ride. Do like Ascot when the racing is on mind!
Brilliant day out with fantastic modern facilities; an awe inspiring grandstand and lovely staff. If only they could guarantee backing a winner 😄
We were blessed with lovely weather. What a lovely relaxing and exciting day.
Great day out Tuesday. And helped out with st James palace winner. Poetic flair...marvellous result.
The jockey Frankie Dittorio rode on the horse Monsignor which belonged to the charityHeros in the 2012 Olympic gamesThe story of this clarity is on the Podcast Podbean in Horses Plus.
Absolutely beautiful place would stay there forever if I could.
Always a fun day out. Staff are amazing
Attended a wedding reception in the Pavilion Suite and it was so hot as the midday sun shines through the glass front. Some guests had to shift their tables out of the sun.
Great day out, food was excellent(had the package of food and drink In whole a good deal
Large impressive racecourse, slightly further away from the horses racing than some other courses. Very busy. Preferred the atmosphere of the box to the rest of the venue. We had a sixth floor box and the views are stunning from there. Friendly staff everywhere. Efficient service in the box. Not a sit down meal as too many people, so a buffet was served for lunch. Food was not exceptional, but was very good. Toilets just down the hallway; bookies desk also just down the hall so you didnt have to go down six flights of stairs! Would have preferred a sit down meal, but you need a lower number of people (10 I think) per box for that. Would also have liked to have been offered more champagne without having to ask, & we were unaware that we could have had spirits - they were not offered, although, apparently, they were available. Would I do it again - yes, but I would have a smaller group of people so we could have a sit down meal. Recommended.
Fantastic Racecourse you can almost get a whole view of the course from the Grandstand, great variation of food & drink available & its right on top of Ascot High St so Pubs,Restaurants,Cafes, shops & bookmakes all close by.Top class venue.
There were parts of the day that were lovely and other parts which were like being aboard with out of control drunks. The racing was brilliant and do was the atmosphere in the Windsor Enclosure. Lots of well dressed people with fantastic hats, dresses, shoes and mens suits.Towards the end of the day, there was so much litter left on the floor, with females so drunk that they could not stand.
What a place, great day out, has so much to offer.
You cant help but love Ascot !! Its all here for a great day out . . Nice people plenty of bubbles what more could you want ❤
Absolute class . What can I say . Really enjoyed .
Lovely day enjoyed at the king George diamond stakes well organised and plenty of seating
Fantastic Dear Cousin ,Thank You too All the wonderful employees staff families whom take the time effort hard work dedication in all that they do too keep the place safe and hygienic and presentable with many smiles of feeling content entering and leaving each time when the races are on and empty for ourselves and the public people of all kingdoms too enjoy the scenery and feeling relaxed and energetic. Thank You The public for not littering and being respectful of the grounds. Enjoy the year we have too come.
Great day out very friendly staff and well organised.
Whether a regular at the races or not the Family Day at Ascot offers a fantastic opportunity to join in the thrills and spills of the races and see the majesty of these magnificent horses up close and personal, Aswell as the opportunity to see where her majesty enjoys watching her horses race. And even when she isnt present. Her statue is. The history and presence of the location itself is something to behold and the temptation to have a little flutter of your own adds to the flavour and excitement of the day... So long as one doesnt go daft and bet what you cant afford to lose or go chasing what you might have lost already, then some great fun can be had. And who knows... You might just back the winner?!A great place and the family day made it a wonderful day out for all the family. Highly recommended.
Its a good day out and enjoyed the dressing up but thats it. Dont worry about the width of your hat as that only applies if youre hanging out with Queenie in her enclosure.
Usually quality racing but the view from the steppings in the ‘premier’ of the racing is atrocious unable to hear the race commentary although volume on eleven, staff stuffy, learnt not buy drinks or food inside the venue overpriced low quality in my opinion, regular racegoer and Ascot racecourse gets it wrong in so many ways.Go racing and compare Ascot to any other racing and you’ll see what I mean.Soulless place👎🏻
Attended an event in one of the private dining suites here, absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in I was totally blown away. They had the whole red carpet paparazzi service. Felt like an absolute star.I would highly recommend booking their events paparazzi photographers if your going book a private function here, this service is absolutely amazing, made me feel like a true VIP star, such great actors, with funny banta, and such super pictures after the event.Amazing atmosphere and ambience, very warm and premium feeling. The venue staff were amazing, 5 star service, from the waiters to the chefs. The food did not disappoint, absolutely luxury, best food I have had.Eating here is fantastic. I would give the following advice, this should not be a sprint to the finish, but a marathon race, slow and steady.I cant recommend this venue enough, first review I have written, where if I could I would give 6 stars or more.
Can only comment on hospitality/private boxes but if that is what you are looking for a private event or day out you wont do better than Ascot. Food is beautifully presented and flavoursome. Make sure you order at the right time as there is a cut off point if you leave dessert to late during a race meeting. Champagne list to suit every taste and pocket. Service is attentive and freindly. Views over the course are spectacular and when you step outside you still feel part of the crowd which is nice. Close enough to hear the thunder of the track. So much fun! P.S some parts of the car park are very bumpy, watch it if you are in a low car!
Very special place. Great atmosphereOnly issue is price of drinks. Very excessive
We had an amazing experience at Ascot, very nicely done horse races, good variety of restaurants.
Royal Ascot is one of the highlights of the social calendar. A perfect day out. With horses...style and Champagne!
I really enjoyed this event. It would have definitely been a 5 star event but our server was very poor. She acted as if she did not want to take care of us. We purchased a package that included drinks and each time we wanted to order another round she would ignore us and continue to take care of her other tables. I would go again however I would make it my business to NOT have her as our waitress. I do not like making negative comments, usually I would not however the experience outside of this particular young lady was incredible. Other servers did pick up her slack but she made it very obvious she didn’t want our table. The people there were fabulous! The dresses and hats were quite entertaining!!! I really hoped to see the queen (which I didn’t) but it really over all was an experience I won’t forget!!! The food was nice also.
Wonderful for racing of course, but also a fine venue for corporate events.
Awesome fun. The Champion Day at the end of October was cheap and one of the best day trip out of London! It was such a unique experience, even managed to see the Queen and basement jaxx!
Wonderful day celebrating my birthday with my family.
Lovely venue, good afternoon watching the races. Food mediocre at best
Great time and great place. Lovely day to spend with the family.
Fabulous setting and beautifully kept grounds.
Beautiful stadium set in beautiful grounds. Fantastic place but expensive !!!. Should have cut the grass shorter though because my horses appeared to struggle to run through it !!!!!🤭
A lovely day at the races! This is proper racing at a top-class course!
Great day out for everyone, highly recommended
Lovely day out to the racers on Ladies Day! Brilliant atmosphere and easy to get around. Plenty of outside tables and waiter/waitress service is a nice touch too. Cant wait to go again!
Great day out
A great modern venue to watch the racing from - although the majority seem less interested in the racing than at other courses. Thats good because the view of the actual racing is not spectacular. Good selection of bars, boxes, restaurants and loos!
Magical atmosphere, excellent facilities, food is varied & great to all tastes. Staff & working team especially at car park 3 were top notch..
My first time at the Ascot. I had an amazing day. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The kids enjoyed therir day.
Not really been during race days. I lived locally and enjoy running around the public path. For those that run its about 2.3km for a complete circuit.
Great place to be.Good atmosphere.Great day out.
I worked there, so great to have the opportunity to work there. But would advise for the ladies to bring sandals for the end of the day.
Love it, cant wait to go back soon!
Very good going again for champions Day
