Jagannath temple is one of the well-known temples at Burnpur. Lord Jagannath, Balaram & Goddess Subhadras idols are almost similar to the idols of Puri. Rathayatra which is usually held at the end of June or in the beginning of July, is the best festival. Apart from the Jagannath temple, Laxmi, Hanuman & Shiva temples are there. There are ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu made on the wall of the temple & it makes the place more sanctified. Lord Jagannaths charming face along with the ten incarnations of Lord Narayan makes one feel that Lord Narayan himself resides at this very place. Anybody can visit this place irrespective to his/her caste or religion. Moreover, the priests of this temple do have any demand. If one ever goes to Burnpur, one must visit this temple.
