A cool place to have a walk or a bite with a good view

Kids enjoy so much to walk around the lake, as well as there are several attractions that is good for them.

Great spot to take the kids. You can get cheap food/ice cream. Take a paddle boat out on the lake, walk around, and pay a VERY small fee to have to kids jump on the trampoline and bounce house (on the weekends)

There is wonderful relaxation place , beatiful and nice.

Me and my family love Turtle Lake Nature Diversity Trail. It offers kids hands on option to learn about nature around them.

The main activity is some old and poorly maintained pedal boats, which cost 50 lari for half an hour and are hard to maneuver around the small lake. Other than that, the area is quite green and pretty, but really nothing much to do unless you eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the water.

Nature and relaxationA Nice beautiful lake in a quiet place away from the busy city, it is quite relaxing and a good escape.There are few activities that you can do but just walking on the path around the lake is good enough, there were also people fishing and in good weather, it is possible to swim and rent a paddling boat.There is an expensive restaurant that I haven’t tried, the place is popular amongst locals and you will see a lot of local families there.It is included as a quick stop in some tours.

Nice park to visit, right in the center of the city! Totally worth the trip if you have time, it wasn’t as much fun when we went because all the food shops were closed due to the covid curfew, but I can imagine it lights right up when things are not so stressful under covid restrictions in the city.

Amazing beautiful lake. It is on the top of a mountain near Tbilisi. The weather is good and romantic place.There is boats trip for 30 min and a coffee shop.But i didnt find any turtle.

Great space for a family outing and wonderful restaurants and play areas for children. Smooth pathway right around the lake perfect for strollers bicycles and runners. Volleyball Court for rent and brand new exercise machines available for the use of the public. Perfect for having a picnic by the lake and wheelchair accessible WC. Rent a paddle boat or for the adventurous try the zip line over the lake. More restaurants than I expected. Good service and food with beautiful views over the lake. See if you can spot the little turtles in the lake.

The water was verry dirty.

You can get there via a cable car, or via a taxi. The place is peaceful for walking, and has many cafes for refreshments. Paddle boating in the lake is available too. Worth a visit if you are looking for a place to relax.

Turtle Lake is a very nice place for relax. You can arrive there by cable car, which will provide you. a beautiful panorama of Tbilisi. You can swim, navigate by boat, follow some shows, walk by foot, or go by bicycle. Its a pity that Flying Turtle does no more fly .......We can be optimist for future, only....

I love this place, very beautiful and peaceful. You can find noce view from there to Tbilisi, which is beautiful during the night with a lot of lights and during the morning you can observe how city is waking up.

Ideal place for an evening stroll with the family. It is also possible to go up and see Tbilisi from a completely different angle. I recommend everyone to climb in the evening, both in summer and in winter, and in autumn and spring it is beautiful.

Good place for walking with a family, nice views, you will breath fresh air, you can go in a boat for pleasure, there are picnic places, playground for kids, cafes with lake views is very nice and relaxing, you can get there with a car and also with a rope road from Vake park, its hard to find free parking place but you can use payable parking, some places are dirty it will be good if administration will pay attention, I liked it really good place for relax, information for freigners : you can not find turtles in this place :) ,

Beautiful lake on the top of the hill. Many reastaurants with a nice view on the lake. Nothing special, though.There is a ropeway over the lake which costs 25 Lari

A very nice , calm place , small lake but worth visiting for those who admire the nature , water and want a short pause from the city ambience. We visited this place on April 1st in early morning but unfortunately few dogs were there , despite being not dangerous, they provoked fear of my kids , only few visitors, I think May or June would be better to enjoy that place.

Cute and silent place,You can swim in a small area the water is pretty clean.There is a lot of frogs and we saw water snakes too so be careful.In addition there is a lot of planets underwater.

Turtle Lake is located on the wooded northern slope of Mtatsminda Mount at elevation of 686.7 m above sea level and fed by a small river Varazis-Khevi, a tributary to the Mtkvari (Kura). The area of surface is 0.034 km², while the catchment area is 0.4 km². Maximal depth is 2.6 m. The Turtle Lake area is designed as a recreational zone and is frequented by the Tbilisians on weekends. It is also a place where festivals and concerts are held. It can be reached either via a road or an aerial tramway leading from Tbilisi’s Vake Municipality - this began operating once more in October 2016, is open from 8:00 until 22:00 and costs 1 lari in each direction. West to the lake is the Open Air Museum of Ethnography, a large exhibition of Georgia’s folk architecture.

If you are in Vake area you can plan a visit to turtle lake. It is accessible by a cable ride (Lari 1) which takes 5 minutes to reach at the top. It is also possible to drive to lake. The place is popular with locals and tourists alike. There are couple of coffee shops, walking trail, beautiful lake with plenty of opportunities to enjoy picnic during summer months.

If you are fond of uphill walking then start from Vake Park with trails up to the Turtle lake and from there up to the forest trails. This area is for those who love hiking in the nature. There are signs on the trails with distance and directions to the places of interest. You can find places for picnic and the best views of Tbilisi.

Its a 1.5km walk on the lake, pretty good, not exhausting

Potential is there. They’re playing techno music very loud at all time of the day and you can hear it from all around the lake. It could be a very peaceful place in buzzing Tbilisi. But it’s a really good starting point to hike and get out of there.

Just my favourite place in Tb accessible by vehicle,by cable car or several footpaths.You can do gym or sport activities like swimming,cycling,football,volleyball and e.t.c. or just escape from city to take a rest. There are several cafes and also Tbilisi Ethnographic museum to explore.

Such a peaceful, amazing place. Its vibe is one of the best in Tbilisi. A must visit. Best time to go is half an hour before sunset. You get a marvelous view up there and the lake itself takes you out on surprise as its hard to imagine a lake over there. An entirely fun place to visit with friends. Its perfect for a stroll away from the busy city life. The few stray dogs here are very tame and no reason for concern. The lake turns ice in the winter and its lovely. In the summer it looks like your own private lake with its reflective surface and seamless effect. In short, the perfect place for a dendrophile.

It is a really nice place to visit with kids but there are no turtles as they were there long ago and there is too much civilization so if youre interested in seeing more nature its not a place for you.
