I found this monastery to be the nicest of them all. You can’t get there by car unless you have a very solid 4x4 (not a city 4x4) otherwise it’s a nice walk when the road stops.

This is a vary atmospheric monastery surrounded by wild nature. The monastery can be reached by a short but still intense hike which we undertook under wet snow -- but it was woth it!

Around 90min hike from the city center of Dilijan. Map was available in hikearmenia app. Nice walk through town, later passing by farms and in the end the route becomes calm and quiet. Be aware of wild dogs though. Had to defend ourselves with sticks. You could take a taxi for the first 80% of the route, but its not necessary. The last ascend can only be made hiking up. Up at the monastery it is a peaceful and holy place with an amazing atmosphere.

Beautiful middle age Armenian churches. Positive- great nature and wonderful surrounding, negative- hard to reach, no normal roads, walk or climb about 1 km.

The Jukhtak monastery (as the name implies) consists of two separate churches, Surb Astvatsatsin and St. Gregory. Churches were built in the 11th-12th centuries.

Two small churches facing each other in a quiet and beautiful place. I recommend starting with them, and then taking a walk along the picturesque forest trail of the Dilijan National Park to another Mantovank monastery

A beautiful and large church, located in a clearing in the Dilijan National Park, in the vicinity of the Matosavank church, near the cemetery that surrounds the church. The dome collapsed, the outer walls still remain intact. The church was built in X | century.
