There are two buildings. The first has one chamber, the entrance to which is through a very small doorway that an adult will have difficulty getting past. The second building has two chambers and is still in use: there were candles burning inside on a Friday afternoon. The exteriors of both buildings are surrounded by scaffolding. A trail circles the compound, and there is an impressive statue at the compounds entrance. There are information panels about the monastery but not about the statue.

Calm and serene, at the end of a hill road, surrounded by scenic views.

A small monastery with a rich history. A unique place with beautiful khachkars in an ancient cemetery with ancient barriers. Do not be lazy and walk around - nature blooms and smells.
