Thai food restaurant. Since we were a group of about 15 people, managed to reserve the private room. Place is clean, neat and well arranged. Service is good. We ordered thai curries, fried rice and few other dishes. They were all with good service. Final bill was also very reasonable. Can recommend.

This not the first time I visited Jack Tree at Park Road. I always loved their dishes. I visited the place after two years and we weren’t particularly happy with our experience today, our rating speaks for it. The place isn’t all that bad either.  Food was not bad but pretty disappointing. The ingredients were pretty right but just it missed the deep Thai flavour. Thai dishes had a Sri Lankan flavour, which we thought, was not a good thing. I dont think I would go back to this place, the food is not comparable to other Thai places. The decor is nice and the location is good but thats about it.

Spicy Vegetable Soup was the worst I had. Spicy broth with undercooked vegetables.Ordered lunch and when served, it is almost dinner.

They were closed and when I called to make a reservation they accepted it. When I went there and call the number again they said it was actually mango tree.. very disappointed since I asked about jack tree and they took the reservation.

They took 1 hour and 45 minutes to deliver the food. Time wasters. Food is ok but not worth the price.

Ive been to Jack Tree on 4 occasions and it has been excellent in service as well as food. Last week I was back from overseas and took my family for lunch on a Sunday. Be it the chicken satay with peanut sauce, the red chicken curry, yellow fish curry, the crab and egg stir fry, seafood fried rice and the spicy vegetable rice. All of these were top notch. The desserts too, namely the sticky rice with custard, and banana fritters were excellent. This is one restaurant I have seen real consistency. Keep it up.

Friendly staff, cool and quite place. Parking have a small issue. But parking available. Narrow entrance to the vehicle park. Can enjoy a variety of new food.

Portion size not great. Price not great too. However the food is excellent. Definitely a must visit at least once. For better value quick Thai and Siam house trump this place.

Overpriced food which tastes all the same. On top you will have more than 30% tax to pay. Waiters are not trained properly. Im sure you can find better Thai restaurants in Colombo. Avoid at all cost.

Good food. Service delivery time should improve. The A/C was insufficent for a warm afternoon .Staff very courteous.

Prices are extremely high. Top of this they charge a whopping 20% tax and 10% service charge. The staff were unable to explain what the 20% tax was and they had no clue. Jack Tree labeled water bottle was priced at 135/- but in the invoice charged as 195/-. Again, staff was helpless saying it is their managements decision. Overall NO value for money. Plenty of other chainese and Thai restaurants around Colombo for reasonable price.

Used to be one of Colombos favourite Thai joints before either more authentic or much more cheaper eateries turned out. However, they seem to have kept to the standards are catering to mostly a repeat clientele. The menu always had a Thai and a Chinese portions, but they are known for Thai food and that part of the menu offers more value in my opinion.One of my favorites here is the Masaman curry and it has held its favor over more than 5 years. Vegetables can be a hit or a miss. Service is usually very good dining in, and the place is not often packed.They offer a loyalty program with their sister restaurant Mango Tree (Indian) that is useful for the odd discount, that makes the prices more palatable.

Not authentic Thai food. Greasy fried fast-food type food lacking in any flavor. Way overpriced. Nice attentive staff. Amazing king coconut juice.

It was ok, i got yellow curry, sizzling chicken and steam rice, the spices were decent and the taste was good. It was just average nothing special! Service took like 30 minutes also.

Had a Egg Fried rice. Way too overpriced and not worth it at all. Too Oily and even a fried rice at a small restaurant is much tastier than this. Not recommended for Fried Rice.

In the past year, Jack Trees food quality has gone from 5 stars to 1 star for my friends and I. I think they changed their chefs. Their curries are tasteless, incredibly spicy, unapetizing concoctions. Their pad thai (if you can even call it that) is a dry, bland mess of dark brown, almost black noodles with barely anything else in it.They cant seem to understand the concept of minimal spice. Even when I ask for no spice at all, my food is always super spicy.Its such a shame because we used to order food from Jack Tree all the time. Now when we ask what to order for dinner, we hear anything but Jack Tree. Avoid this place, youll be disappointed.

One of the worst experience in a restaurant due to terrible service. It took more than one and half an hour to get ordered items.Foods are OK and portions are enough. But the facilities are not worth for the prices.Not recommended for large groups.

I had been waiting to try this place since couple of years. Tried thier garlic kang kung, thai green curry and mango salad. Mango salad was not authentic, it was Sri Lankanised version of Thai food. Same with the green curry. Though curry sauce tasted good!Waiters lacked courtesy, Needs a lot of training in this asppect.Quite pricey.Not sure if I would go there again.

I happened to visit this restaurant after over 6 months last afternoon (27.08.2017 @ 12.10 pm) along with my Family and In-laws amounting to 10 paxs. What we experienced was horrendous, having made a reservation the previous night though the room reserved was so hot and the excuse given was that they had forgotten to switch on the AC, having sat down we observed that there were only 8 glasses for 10 guest and to my misery the glass that I was about to drink water from was chipped & the guy next to me noticed lipstick 💄 on his glass.We did order the drinks which came in rather fast but had to go in search of the steward to place our order for the starters. The crab 🦀 ball appetizer that was recommended to us were pretty old and was something next to fried sponge balls dripping with oil with no flavor whatsoever for which was served with a spicy sauce. However the chicken satays were good.Being the host I had to go looking for the steward once again to place our order which took over an hour to reach our table. I must say is not at all upto the standard it used to be before, then came the time for dessert 🍨 I must say that the fruit salad 🥗 was pretty fresh but the sticky rice 🍚 with mango was a real let down where the rice was so hard and rubber like and to add to it there was a hair in one of the desserts.Being so embarrassed I called for the Manager and complained to him about the series of events experienced by me and my guests over hours, he listened to us with no empathy whatsoever and just made a remark saying I am also new here.I would like ask the Bolly Wood management as to whether this is what they call customer service?. Pl note that the customer has a right to demand for something better if he is to pay 💰 the price that you demand on your menu...You can rest assured that I will not be visiting your restaurant ever again and shall be sharing my experience at The Jack Tree with all my colleagues from now on.Disappointed 😔 Customers.

Food was excellent...No doubt on that...service was the worst I experienced.. Ordered food amd waited exactly 50 mins for food to arrive.. Overpriced menu items so they give discounts even If you sneeze..Messed up with my order and floor manager said he will give me 10% discount. and when I finally presented my Credit card which gives 20% Off.. They ammend the bill... and Said they didnt ammend the bill.. While further digging they stated that they cannot give more than 20% discount for one bill. And for their bad time..there was a nother offer going on with Mydeal.lk where Jack Tree gives 25% off.. So be aware of their scam.Price of a simple 250ml size gravy chicken dish was 1075+ 27% tax...Apart from their bad service..My hats off to the cook as the food was really great..I hope they learn from this try not to rip off Customers.
