The only reason I am giving one star extra is because the staff was very helpful, reference to staff Kathy at the Ancaster location.Order#: CAN03294483 The purchase was smooth but I get home to find that the product was damaged. I drive back to return or exchange and all the other sketch books were damaged. This is a premium product and not inexpensive. I ask if they have a similar product with similar value or if lower or higher and I could accommodate the difference. NO they could do nothing. They promised to return back my money, which only the head office can do. I go home generate a new order, wait for an email form them, drive back to pick it up. Such a waste of time and money gas is not cheap.Dear bossesThis is not even a near perfect business experience. Tell me this should not be the reason I should shop else where or even on Amazon.ca.Change, so you dont have to ask who moved my cheese.RS

The staff are always so helpful and friendly here. Unfortunately the one specific size of cardstock I needed was the only one out of stock there today but thats just the way it goes sometimes!!

Make sure you ask about coupons when you cash out. They can apply even if you do not have one on you.

The manger from Michaels from Ancaster , her name is Sarah had been outstanding with the issue we were having with an online order. I havent seen customer service like this in years. Sarah has pride in her work and deserve a rise!!. Its nice to see that theres still people that care about their job, and have a positive attitude during these hard time. Michaels is very lucky to have her!.

Terrible experience. I am fine with waiting in lines to get in a store but this store was packed, so I waited outside in the freezing cold to be in an overcrowded store. I also noticed while waiting to checkout the person had left who was counting people coming in so nobody was there to count or stop from more overcrowding. Also doing express checkouts just gives customers more contact with staff and is not a good idea especially when we had to go up to a cashier after anyway... made no sense. This person is not behind glass and got way too close. I made a mistake coming here on a Sunday, but I had no idea how packed it would be or I wouldnt have even come here. I thought with lineups store would not be a zoo inside, youre capacity numbers are way off! Nobody can properly shop and social distance at such a high capacity.

Ordered 1 small item that was unavailable at several other stores that I was unable to find elsewhere (I’m from over an hour away) When I went to pick up the lady was extremely rude and refused to get my item saying “it’ll be a few hours because we are filling other orders”I’m sitting in an empty parking lot... nobody else here for a pick up.Clearly just a lazy manager/ staff.Ridiculous. Will absolutely never shop here again.

Not a very happy customer. I placed an order on Nov 27th 2020 using my visa debit. They debited my bank acct immediately then sent me an email that they cancelled the order as they had no stock. I have been trying to get a refund since. They dont seem to understand that using a debit card, the payment came directly out of my bank acct. I will not ever place orders with this company again.

Because of COVID-19, I have ordered things online using the same-day delivery method. I ordered it two nights ago. Yesterday, it was cancelled because the driver didn’t want to pick it up or whatever. It was cancelled again this morning after they sent me an e-mail saying it was on its way. I have contacted customer service twice as I have paid quite a lot for delivery. I asked if it was going to be cancelled again, and they said they weren’t sure and that if it is then I should contact them again. It’s been 3 days since I ordered it and paid for same-day delivery.

Great Customer Service! I have been to a few Michaels locations as I love their sales. This location has the new layout. The staff here are very friendly and willing to help you find things. There is rarely a line up, the staff stays on top of the customers.The stock is always well stocked and neatly organized. I prefer this location of the 4 that I frequent.

I love the new location. The store is a lot bigger. I love the lay out, it has always been very organized, clean and the staff are very helpful both in person and on the phone.

I had a great experience at the Ancaster store with Jackie who helped me pick a knitting pattern to suit my limited experience. She took the time to choose the yarn and needles and the other small items that I needed. She did this with efficiency and seemed to take a real pleasure in helping me. Thanks Jackie!

Unknown to me as I thought they closed up this store. Turns out they only moved two spots over to the west and are beside the Sports Check store. Still a good sized location and have anything and everything for crafters as well as home decor items. Prices are reasonable as well. If there are hard to find items you cant find in the big box stores this place probably does.

I went here looking for the manager Micheal. He was nowhere to be found. After months of searching i met Micheal but he didnt even work there and he seemed annoyed I was asking him his name and how much he makes owning it. What a weird store. Nice pens. 5/5 for pens. Markers are good but no mark either.

I like the setup of the store also you can find everything you need if youre in art and crafts and other things that you need for home. That was my daughters favorite store. I said was because she died 8 years ago. She was in to art and crafts and she was good at it. She also loved photography.

Update from June 18/2019I was in the store yesterday afternoon over a lunch break. Store had ample selection and two floor staff were so helpful in an attempt to locate a precise type of decorative mesh used on a Pinterest wreath that I was hoping to re-create. Although I did not find it, they were so kind. The cashier, Madelyn (or Madeline) was beyond friendly and acknowledged the difficulty that I was having with the Michaels rewards program. She re-registered me and it was successful this time, thankfully! Madelyn was enthusiastic, efficient, and went over and above to make the experience a great one! I hope that she and the two other staff on the floor are acknowledged! I will most definitely be back.Great selection and I especially loved all of the clearance finds that I walked away with. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They could use a few more cashiers as they ended up being slammed but they promptly called backup.

Great store for crafts of all sorts. I like to knit so I come here to get yarn. Michaels is quite expensive so I always come foe yarn when itis on sale. About once a year they have great deals on framing as well. They frame really professionally.

It always amazes me what u can find in this place. Am curently working on a garden project, it called for some bird houses to be incorporated. A quick google search, showed Michaels sells a variety of them. Great price too.

This is a very nice, well organized Michaels. I really notice just how well stocked and organized it is when I go to other stores. Sometimes they could use an extra cashier or two.

I love Michaels but I am not crazy about the new set-up in Ancaster. It seems smaller than the older one. The signs are hard to see from far away making it hard for the new customers to see where to find certain sections at first until they memorize it.

Great store to get lost in time and shop. There framing area with plaking is my usual go to at Michaels only after meandering the store first.

Extremely long line ups in December and very few tellers available. I was called up to a till and the staff member walked away without explanation. I had to get back in line for another teller

Wonderful place full of any type of craft need you have. I would give it five stars but the only thing i was disappointed in was the lack of staff. I wandered the whole store before i finally found someone who could help me. Put more ppl in the store to help lost shoppers like me and it will be a 5 star expereience. Other than that though, the place is great.

Ancaster location. Over 20 people in line. 1 cashier. No one called for back up. That was the end of November. Never friendly or helpful staff. I go out of my way to the Barton Street location. Great staff.

I enjoy shopping here but find it to be somewhat disorganized. Mid-priced products but friendly staff make up for it. Every time I go in this place I lose a little bit of time hunting around but I always find something new.

I was shopping at 8:30pm on april.21st and the cashier was amazing. I wish I remembered her name, I believe Stephanie but not sure. She went out of her way to help us and you just dont get that kindness everywhere . This location had great selection and I ended up buying more than I went in for. Thank you.
