Place has some decent dishes, but I do have some complaints.I had the keema naan (5.99 stuffed with ground meat). It was pretty good, meat patty inside was fluffy and wasnt a solid brick of meat inside. I also had the goat cheese naan (5.99). Very moist and, but more slightly burnt. See the photos where it is on top of the tikka masalaI then had the lamb seekh kabab (14.49) this was the best part of the items I tried. Lemon rice was firm and had a nice citrus flavour. Kababs were moist and plenty of spices in them. I did like the mint dressing that came with the salad. The chicken tikka masala (13.99) was the most disappointing part of the meal. It was served with basmati rice that was not too fragrant. Chicken breast was fine inside the cup: I had about seven 2 oz portions. They were pretty good and have a good neutral flavour. The sauce on the other hand was not good for me. It was fresh yes, but was so off in flavour from most sauces I had. It was kind of watery, had way too many tomato in it and had little spices at all. I would not get this again. The photo I provided may decieve you, those have the naan on top of it. You get the side of rice and the cup of masala. Thats it.A fourth of the menu is blocked out. Please again see the photos. My impression is that portions are a little bit small for what you pay for. If I had to go again, I would take the keema naan and the lamb seekh kabab as they have the better value.
Got the blues? Eat here to feel human again. Flavors that warm your soul, with not overpowering spices like some Indian places, but spices that highlight the main ingredients of the dish. Best coconut shrimp curry I’ve ever had. Garlic naan cooked perfectly. Saag paneer with fresh ingredients. Light, delectable, and creamy raita. Biryani rice with coconut flavor you can actually taste. I can’t say enough about how amazing Chef Shachi and Sandeep’s recipes are timeless, and priceless. Some may complain that the prices are high here, but you get what you’re paying for. Luxurious flavors in a casual setting. Treat yourself to some Adya!
My goodness! Food was awesome! Ive had plenty of Indian food (thanks to my wife) and this was one of the best! You will not be disappointed.
This is must try out at the Packing District. Its upstairs in the far right corner when you enter.Garlic naan was nice. Had the boneless thigh done up with chili and lime juice (cant remember the name🙃) and it was 🙌🏼. Side of the cucumber raita and youre set!Check it out.
In Anaheim on vacation. We found ADYA on a fluke. The food was great the first time. We were impressed by the portions, very large. You can see them making the food. They prep chicken, cut Naan dough, and use the tandoori ovens. With all the places to go with in a 2 mile radius of our hotel. We took an Uber to come back a second time. There are plenty of options in the area but I highly recommend coming back here.
Everything was super yummy! They had several items that could be made vegan, and I pretty much ordered all of them :) The gentleman working there was friendly and helped me pick out the best vegan dishes. I got a chickpea dish, a lentil dish, a coconut curry dish, some kind of roll, garlic naan, and some type of Indian white wine. We sat at a few of the tables just outside of their kitchen area. I love the Packing District and Ill probably eat at Adya again!
Weve been coming here for years now and it is still so, so good. I cant recommend them enough. The food and everything is excellent. Our favorites are the dal and amritsari chicken. And you have to get the thali so you get some naan and raita too. (Pro -tip: the garlic naan is far and away the best thing.) No matter what you order, it will be fantastic.
I wasnt a fan of their tiki masala, tasted exactly like tomato soup with some spices🤨. The Garlic naan was good.I would seek elsewhere for an authentic flavor and larger portions. Maybe this is better for folks that don’t want the mild to hot spices in some dishes. But, Customer service was great !
Great food, great chef! A Chopped winner as well. Try the goat cheese naan and Shrimp curry! Wonderful.
Pretty good Indian food! Not the absolute best Ive had (that title is reserved for a place in Sharjah, UAE) but until I find a better spot then this will hit the spot. There is plenty of options of common Indian dishes, and the naan are good as well. Very simple presentation but thats ok, the flavors are good. I would eat here again.
This site is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. when I I need a good lunch, this place comes right away to my mind. good and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.helpful staff members, and pleasant ambience. In addition to that, the expence is good. I sent my friends to this spot with pleasure.
I just loved their food. I always get excellent customer service here. The place is always clean and the staff members are always helpful. Will come back again.
I like this venue a lot. there is a nice air. The meals are splendid. the service is efficient and the stuff is professional. The pay is fair. I warmly recommend.
Just finish my Chana Masala and it was both watery and flavorless. No wonder it was the least busy of all the eateries in the building. Never again.
This restaurant is amazing and roomy, the food was enchanting and the rates were very fair. rapidly, effective service and very attentive waiters. I highly recommend this place.
Would certainly recommend trying out this place. Excellent atmosphere, flavorful dishes, fantastic service. I recommend this place.
I found ADYA the day the opened! By far my favorite place to eat! Food is prepared with so much flavor! I know the owner is a chef but I feel the care in which she prepares each meal. Because of the flavor of India I always wanted to be adopted by someone there and instead I welcomed ADYA into my life. Best Decision Ever.Interactive restaurant as well. There cooking lunches and fun and have taught me so much about spices and flavors.Do yourself a flavor and try them for yourselves!
I love their Chicken Malia kebobs! I can literally eat these every day. If you want to try it out I recommend getting it with the butter naan.
I went to this place randomly and decided to try Indian food. This place has become one of my favorite. I would give 5 stars to everything, cleanliness, staff behaviour, quality of food, quantity of food, , The Taste and their hospitality. I have already recommended this place to all my california friends. Excited to visit their again.Keep up the good work. 👌🏻 Amazing experience.
One of the best Indian restaurant in OC. I have been coming here since they opened in 2015 and every time I have been here the quality is the same as the day 1. Thats the best compliment I can give to an Indian restaurant as most of the times, the quality of the food varies. But here, it doesnt. The service is great and the portion size is perfect.I have tried almost everything on their menu and loved it all. Being Indian and a good cook, its very hard for me to find a good Indian place where I can really enjoy food. And I am glad this is the one, which is not far from where I love. 5 STARS.
Excellent and delicious food, I liked the mood this spot has, and the employees were welcoming. Will definitely come back in the future.
Normally I love this place, the food is great, but today was bad. No flavor at all. I feel theyve changed cooks. Very disappointed today. 😔😔
Not even close to traditional Indian fast food.
Best tandoori chicken an naan Ive ever had. Couple that with the fun atmosphere in the Packing House and you cant lose. Did I mention $4 beers between 3 and 8 pm?
Love this place! The chef is awesome and very hands-on! She even has cooking demos every month where you get her recipes, see how she follows them, and eat the food as its being made. I typically get a thali style dish when I am here. The food is fresh, NOT greasy, and so delicious.
Simply awesome and good food. Great service We found this place on a recent trip to Disney Land and hotel staff recommend the packing house in Anaheim. And there we found Adya. My wife was fasting and chef accommodated her request. Superb. I highly recommend this place.
This place is super Authentic and the owner herself is the chef in charge. Quality food and excellent prices. They are not responsible for seating as they are located in the packing district. So be patient and there is an outdoor patio. Dont forget you can sit at the tiny bar. Chicken Malai is so delicious. The bread and salads is so good :)
Naan is extremely flat, tastes almost like a garlic buttered Tortilla.Customer service is not up to par. They arent polite not respectful.Chicken masala taste good, but to thin. The basmati rice is good.Overall overpriced food.
Great blend of flavors. Chicken masala was amazing. Very happy with my very difficult decision on what to eat at the packing house.
I have had authentic Indian food many times before and this was some of the tastiest, freshest Indian food Ive ever had! I had the channa masalla with the platter. Amazing. Highly recommend.
My friend and I came here on a Saturday night a few weeks ago.It was pricey, crowded, and the food was cold by the time I got it. Prob because it took about 30 mins to get my good after I ordered. Baffling because there are so many people working in the kitchen. So I cant really say if I thought the food was good. But I will say that the food wasnt as flavorful as Im used to Indian food being.I will have to come back to better assess the food.
Try their snacks , they are pretty good . Especially their bhel and sevpuri. You can try their curries as well. Samosas were okayish tho.
The tikka masala without rice isnt that great because it has this sour aftertaste. Ive never had tikka masala I didnt like, but this is the first I dont care for. And, of course, its really expensive food.
Average taste, extremely overpriced, small portions served in metal plates like in jail, served tiny tea and when I asked for a refill they said no free refills, stingy people, who dont care about their customers and are just in it for themselves.
I had Bhel puri and Pav bhaji . Both dishes were extremely poor in taste. The Pav Bhaji doesnt taste good at all. No spices just bland . Also Bhel puri which is considered a preety simple dish was not even average . How could they mess up both these dishes which are fairly easy to make? Sometimes I think how restaurants like these even run. Dont go with high ratings they are misleading as I have tasted the food and they are below par as per Indian standards.
Tikka masala is outstanding! Wish I lived in California, I would be here a couple times a week.
I rarely give negative reviews. This ones gonna be one. The food was so bad, I cant even begin to describe. We ordered Keema pav, Malai Tikka and Paneer Tikka. The Keema was made in burnt tomato gravy that gave me a bitter taste for hours. The chicken was barely cooked, my daughter stopped eating it because it gave her jaw ache. The only thing edible was the salad, perhaps because it wasnt cooked. This place is an overpriced joke. Totally avoidable.
Great spot for Indian cuisine inside the Anaheim Packing House. I had the paneer tikka with garlic naan and a mango lassi, and it was all delicious.
Umm NO. Its not Indian food..atleast it didnt taste like it. This is an Americanized Indian Restaurant with bland food and inauthentic taste. Had great reviews so ate here and was disappointed. This is not a Resturant for desi people. It was clean and in a nice location so leaving2 stars instead of one.
Amazing ambiance in the complexfood is fine, a bit greasy for my taste
Food & service were great.
The service was good, but food was hardly authentic, at least from an Indian s point of view.
Big portion; quick service; great for a quick lunch in the middle of a work day.
The food was decent, spices are subtle. Kati rolls taste decent - tried chicken and paneer kati roll. Pav bhaaji was fine. Good beer options with local draft beers. Nice thing was, they serve in steel plates like they do back in India.
I had pav bhaji at Adya. Although the steel plate made it look very authentic the way it was served like a paste of curry between macD bun. It tasted awesome I only wished she has served it bit watery n some extra bun with butter n slice of lemon
Great place and the food tastes amazing. Portion size maybe an issue considering how much you are paying for it.
Most authentic and delicious!
Really good!
Not good..
Ive eaten at this place before and the food has always been delicious, but today it was definitely the opposite. Order chicken massala, fatty and sweet salad, lentils, rice, chicken and raita different flavor. Today I am dissatisfied, maybe its another cook?
