My favourite thing about this restaurant is the vibes and most importantly the staff, they were so welcoming and so friendly! The coffee was above delicious = delicious.I ordered the egg royale, its a toast with smoked salmon and Benedict egg, personally I think it’s a little bit dry, I would’ve preferred it with perhaps an avocado toping and a little bit more sauce on it. But it was still delicious. Then i ordered a slice of peanut butter choc cake, it was just not for me, but my friends liked it so depends on your personal preference.
We came here 15 minutes before official closing and asked if we can still get something to eat. The friendly staff seated us without any hesitation and provided us with some recommendations for food.We chose the pancakes with banana, blueberries and maple syrup. They tested very good and were very fluffy. We were able to sit there for about an hour and still no one was putting any pressure on us to leave.
Lovely and cosy place with friendly and inviting staff. We got a chair for our 1,5 year old daughter which they thuroughly cleaned before she sat in it. I liked that attention to detail.I ordered their Eggs Benny together with orage juice and a cappuccino. The Eggs Benny:My overall thoughts was that the toast was too thick and the bacon was a little too well done for my taste. I would also like the holandaise sauce to have more taste because it was a bit announemous in my humble oppinion. The poached eggs was spot on.The Cappuccino:It laked creamyness from the milk and the coffee shot had an ashey aftertaste. The barista looked serious and concentrated the whole time, so I was supprised that it wasnt better.Unfortunatly I didnt fancy their cappuccino. The orage juice:Fresh pressed juice served with ice cubes in it. This was perfect.I will defenetly go here again let alone for the inviting staff and the atmousfere. But I hope for a better cappuccino!
Had breakfast here. A very popular place, so come early or reserve. Great vegan breakfast, nice staff. Coffee was a bit bitter.
Corona stuff: we were hesitant to go because of the pandemic. There was limited capacity outdoor, but indoor the tables were separated by plastic screens and it felt safe. The food was excellent and the staff(we interacted with 4) were super friendly and accomodating. Loved the ambiance of the place. The only thing I didnt like was the black coffee. It felt under extracted, weak and a bit sour. But overall I enjoyed my experience there and definitely would revisit
Great food and service. Friendly staff, delicious brunch. We went without a reservation, but the hostess managed to get a table for us. We ordered one dish to split and it was more than enough for the two of us. Tip: make a reservation if you go in high season, theyre full.
It was really a nice brunching experience in Amsterdam! The pulled pork we ordered was super yum! Coffee also tasted really good!Having lived in Melbourne(where brunch is really part of the city culture)for 5 years, Bakers & Roasteds definitely met my expectations of how brunch is supposed to be.Super friendly service, plus super lively and relaxing atmosphere, you feel that it is exactly how you should start your Sunday (even raining doesnt matter☺️)Would definitely go back again next time!
August 2020: Excellent service, attentive staff. Everything was very tasty and reasonably priced for such quality. The vegan cheese and coffee were both absolutely delicious!Update June 2021: still as tasty, affordable and many vegetarian options. Loved the huevos rancheros. Staff always friendly and accommodating !
This place is a hidden gem in De Pijp. Well almost hidden because it’s always crowded with people. If you want to come for Breakfast you should definitely make a reservation a few days in advance. But you will not regret. Food is delicious and fresh. The service is super friendly and cool. Owned by a Brazilian and New Zealander you will find a very interesting mix on the menu.
Its a great breakfast and brunch place on Amsterdam. Its always really busy. But the best thing is that you can put your name on the waiting list before coming, using their website. We did that from our hotel room and then arrived just about when it was going to be our turn. The food is great and coffee is not bad either :)
This place is well worth it for brunch! We stopped in on a Wednesday morning and enjoyed the Navajo, Benedict, Short Stack and the BNR. The Benedict was fairly basic and something you could find anywhere, so I would pass on this next time. However, everything else was delicious. Full of flavor and good size portions. Prices are on the high side and meals ranges from about 11-16. Additionally, the wait staff was great. Highly recommend!
Awesome place with great atmosphere. The food was delicious. They have a lot of healthy options for breakfast and lunch.
Best crispy bacon I have ever tasted!!!! My friends also said the same!I loved this brunch spot and thoroughly enjoyed (as seen in picture). We also got carrot cake and red velvet cake to take away and it was delicious.I would highly recommend this brunch spot. Staff were also very friendly. Thank you! I will definitely be returning
LOVED IT! Next time in Amsterdam I will make sure I eat here for every breakfast during my stay.We had the veggie breakfast and the pancakes stack with bacon and blueberries. Both were unbelievably good and well worth the money.I still think about the veggie breakfast a whole month later! The potatoes, the chilli jam, the avocado, the scrambled eggs and the mushrooms were all supremely tasty. The ginger/carrot juice was also spot on. Will be sampling their milkshakes on my next visit. The waiting staff here are exceptionally friendly and attentive - great assets to their employers and they truly are the cherries on top. Their efforts to top up our glasses of tap water was a nice touch. Many staff members are from New Zealand, per the cafe’s origins. It can get busy and tables are close to each other. As other reviewers have noted, you cannot book in advance, although this wasn’t an issue for us as we arrived not long after it opened.
One of the best breakfasts Ive had!
One of the best brunches I ever ate ! We ordered the kiwie brunch plate. The staff was very kind too.Be sure to book in advance.
Delicious food with big portions. However, do not forget to make a reservation. Otherwise, will never get in.
It’s a long and narrow restaurant with tight seating. Don’t be surprised if you sit directly next to a stranger as if you’re sitting at the same table. There is a place to hang your coat at the door and the wait isn’t too long either. The breakfast is phenomenal! The scrambled eggs are made to perfection and the coffee is yummy.
Great place! The food is delicious and the staff’s doing a great job, attentive and friendly
Great place, by far the best breakfast/brunch spot I have been to in the Netherlands so far! Although its always full they have a good queue system that texts you when your table is ready. Staff is super friendly. Menu is perfect for brunch, it hits all the right spots. Food was amazing, really delicious. I will definitely be back and try lots of other stuff.
Fast and high quality spot for breakfast and luncheon! The menu has a lot of variety and all of it is excellent. I love the sweet potato hash and the coffee is also good too! They are close to the museum area but are definitely not a tourist trap. These guys are the real deal. Great food, fun atmosphere, not too pricy, takes card; simply fantastic.
The wait was a struggle but it was totally worth it. The staff showed that they truly cared about the customer. We were thoroughly impressed with the variety, ingredients and presentation of the dishes they had. The Navajo was phenomenal. a true symphony of flavors in your mouth. The portions are large and the prices are fair. I will definitely recommend this as a must for visit for everyone!
Delicious food with fast & friendly service. Highly recommend!
I like the service, the bakery is great but I don’t like the pancakes
Great Service, Great Food and a Great Experience. Highly Recommended. Bon Appetite.
Best Brunch experience the poched egg are extremely good I recommend you to go there if you travel in Amsterdam !
It is good indeed! Good coffee, great brunch dishes
This was a great place for breakfast or brunch. It has a really nice atmosphere and the food was really good.My wife got the B&R Special (eggs, bacon and pancakes). The bacon and pancakes were really good, I loved the syrup, I could have drank it, I liked it so much I used some bread to soak some up. I didnt try the eggs though.I got the Summer Bircher Muesli which was actually really good. I was looking for a healthy meal and this was perfect, it tastes fresh and healthy, exactly what I was looking for. It was one of the best breakfasts we had in Amsterdam.
Went for brunch alone, it’s a very busy day/time for this place! Be prepared for a wait. The front of house staff handled the crow well and made sure everyone was seated as quickly as possible.A lot of local, clean options. The food was amazing! So many awesome choices on the menu I can’t wait to go back. Vegan and vegetarian options available. Only a small outdoor seating area but very open floor plan that lets all the light and air in when it’s nice out!The Bloody Mary was on point, although it could’ve used a little extra spice. 👌🏻
New Zealander restaurant, featuring fine breakfast options, food that is tasty and served quickly, and decent espresso. Their juice blends are a little expensive for the amount you get, but there is no doubt they are very fresh. It can get a little crowded so splitting larger tables can happen. Food alterations are a no no here and they will charge you extra. Their menu is diverse though so you can probably get away without making any changes to the dishes as theyre presented.
Wonderful brunch with fresh ingredients. Service was friendly and attentive, and we were seated quite quickly at 1pm on a Sunday (though there was only two of us. Bigger groups may have to wait a little longer as it seems to be a popular brunch spot in Amsterdam!)
Nice place for a great brunch. Needed to wait a little, but the waiting system works smoothly. Only down was that we needed to wait quite some time for drinks.
Nice place. If you coming not in the weekend so you need to wait around 15 minutes. The worker here super nice.. the food was a bit to much spiced
Best Breakfast ever in Amsterdam! The pulled pork with Avocado, Egg Royale are really good too. The pancakes (short stack) are really fluffy and tasty with bacons and lots of maple syrup. The staff are really friendly and the food serves fast! Highly recommended!
Amazing food and service. It is not super quick but it is worth the wait. Great atmosphere. There is a queue to get in but it wasn’t long. Would go again!
Just had the best brunch of my life. From the hostess to the servers, baristas to the cooks, drinks to the food, this place was impeccable. I couldnt give a stronger recommendation to go.Bonus points for the cold brew served like a cocktail. 6 stars out of 5
Lovely Kiwi cafe with great food selections, a must try if you are nearby. Extremely popular place so be in early.
Great selection of food and beverages including cocktails. Gets busy so there may be a wait but its worth it. Generous portions, great taste, trendy crowd.
Totally worth the visit, expect for there to be a line!! Very friendly staff. Plenty of choices on the menu, also offering vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options. The meals are nice, big portions. Cant wait for my next trip!
Amazing service and fantastic food. The only complaint is the bloody mary which was very watery-but maybe if you stick to the breakfast menu everything will be five stars. They couldn’t accomodate us immediately but then suggested they will send us a text when the table is free. Worked out great.
Amazing amazing amazing. Best pancakes I’ve ever had. Hot, not dry, fruit inside, tasty pancakes! Customer service is great and friendly. Good vibe. Good decor. Good price. Only downside is that it’s really busy (guessing it’s good right?) so can be a bit of a squeeze. Would really recommend!
Very good brunch !
We came here to grab breakfast before the Heineken tour. Food was very good, service was good. Wish we had time to eat here again.
Its as delicious as it looks like, even more!
Five stars despite the long wait for a table (they take your number and text you when its ready) and another 40 minute wait for the food. If its a leisurely brunch youre after then the long wait is also a reflection of their relaxed vibe and fresh food presented with pride. Their cake was also delicious and one slice is big enough for two.
Amazing brunch! Super good prices and big portions. Very kind staff.
Fact: Kiwis know how to do breakfast and coffee! My go-to breakfast spot, consistent and tasty food, especially the Kinda Classic Eggs Benny with its generous slabs of bacon and perfect hollandaise. Love the juices options too!
Great spot for Breakfast/Brunch - but get here early, it gets super busy. Loved the B&R Special, Power Breakfast and the Banana Nut Bread French Toast
Amazing breakfast! Would definitely go again!
Excellent food, excelent staff, excellent morning vibe! Must try!!! very deliciousThe chefs are very serious with the dish. The appearance to flavor is just perfect.
What an amazing brunch place! We visited this place with a couple of friends. Hadnt been here before, we had to make a reservation but we only waited roughly 30 mins. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The brunch menu is amazing with many different options to choose from. We tried 3 different brunch plates and all of them were tasty and fresh.Prices are normal for Amsterdam. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
My fiancé and I came across this place completely by chance but I am sure the universe intended it that way. We went to several cafés and they were either closed or too packed. We were almost at the end of the road (literally) when I saw this cafe pop up on my Google map and the reviews seemed good so we decided to give it a go.The cafe is very cute, although a bit cramped because there are a few tables right next to each other. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Flavours are a bit too much. Pastrami Melt too sour with too much of sourkrault plus the pickles. And the salad too is a bit sour. Pancakes way too sweet and lack of subtlety in the flour. Staffs are friendly and energetic.
