Masjid Ashraful masajid (مسجد أشرف المساجد)This Shia Jama masjid, commonly known as Ashraf ul masajid, is one of the largest mosques in Amroha. Initially it was built in 1825/هج١٢٤١ by Haji Sheikh Ashraf Ali of Azeemabad. This Masjid was constructed just adjacent to Dewankhana in the premises of Mahal built after the name of Meer Syed Mohammad Shafaat. This mahal was a complex consisting a mehal Sarai,Dewan khana and a Jama masjid. Later on Dewan khana was converted into a Azakhana ( Imambada امام باڑا) which is now known as Azakhana Mohallah Shafatpota.Due to the increasing numbers of momineen in Masjid,it was felt that this mosque should have been extended. However a committee of prominent Shia personalities of Amroha was formed and they decided to collect the contributions from all momineen of Amroha for reconstruction of Jama masjid. So Jama masjid was extended and rebuilt in 1867/هج ۱۲۸۴ and it was named as Masjid Ashraf ul masajid in memory of Haji Sheikh Ashraf Ali.
