My experience was amazing , the best place to stay in Amritsar. do not think twice , just go there and enjoy your stay. nice staff. very jovial owner and the the doggo Dexter.. i will someday meet Dexter again. life is all about coincidences. best wishes to nutz family. bye till we will meet again 🙏👍

Pathetic. Its in the midst of a spice market. The rooms smell of spices. They dont let you switch on the AC between 12pm to 8pm even if you book a private room and this isnt mentioned anywhere online while booking. Dont go by the good reviews. They should take lessons from other good hostels on how to run a hostel. Had booked for 2 nights but checked out immediately in 15 mins and booked another hotel. Pathetic experience is the word.

In private room is noisy at night from the street, I could not sleep both nights even with sleeping pill.AC is prohibited to use from 10am till 8pm when its most hot.Windows are not transparent.Wodrobes door all times opened.Matris was dirty.Bide is useless and leaking on the floor all time so floor is wet.Shelf in bathroom was dirty with old dust and there were little garbage from previous gests.There was also rubbish left in the drawers of the table.Dormitory beds have tough matrises.Kitchen counter is too low, you have to bend over strongly while cooking (good news if you are midget)Theres not a water filter in the hostel, you have to by bottled water for cooking.Common shower has poor water pressure, there is no any rack for shampoo, showergel, you have to put it on the floor. Liquid soup is not refilled.There are many flying insects in the hostel, and the poison is sprinkled in the room right in the presence of guests, not caring about their health at all.But main Drawback of the property is his yanger owner, that tryed to cheat me from the beginning, demanding additional money despite of at the booking com add is clearly written: price includes all taxes and fees.After lage but noisy room I remooved to empty dormitory, where I was almost injured by faulty fan, whichs plug put in fire in my hand, when I put the plug into socket. Owner blamed me for I using the fan 24 hours, that was absolutely untruth, but I had to use it from time to time with opened door because dormitory has not ventilation system while AC is prohibited to use.After I booked next 3 days on booking com in dormitory on lower price, that I payd for owner (for I can left review), he become angry and demanded I pay to him like before, not like it shown on add at booking. He began to invent ways to make it inconvenient for me to pay, refused to accept cash, threatened me that he would cancel my booking, and in general made a dirty comedy about my booking becouse of some rupees, hypocritically asking me in correspondence: when will I arrive. Finally he lied to the booking com that I allegedly did not come. I had to left hostel despite of confirmed booking. Greed makes the owner act stupid: the booking com now has questions for him. He told me that he does not recognize Internet bookings! for a long period (3 days is, it turns out, a long period!), And he refuses to accept the price that he himself indicated in the add, demanding to pay him more bypassing the booking som.I had disgusting experience there...

Awesome place with good staff and near Golden Temple located in old Amritsar, where you can find everything near by. The famous restaurant, Kesar Da Dhaba is at walking distance (1.5 km- 20 mins on foot). They have a lovely labrador for your safety🥰 Nutz Backpacker is completely worthy of your money.You can have dorms as well as private rooms, with clean washrooms. The common room is an interesting space with board games and books. They also have a kitchen where you can cook whatever you want.

Better place for stay.

Stayed for 2 days, good place to stay and meet people, roam around the market, streets.Owner is a helpful guy..recommended.

The hostel is really nice, rooms and common room have a nice vibe and bathroom is clean and location is good.. However, why I’m giving a 3 star review is because we booked a train ticket through the hostel and all was good, we wanted to go to the train station but we saw they wanted to take us even though we didn’t ask for a ride, but we were gonna take a rickshaw anyway so we took theirs.. when we arrived we were charged 200 rupees where as after checking UBER the ride would’ve cost 50 rupees so we felt scammed, we trusted the hostel by not asking the price and thought they would give us a good price which was not the case, at least they could’ve told us the price before taking us if they’re not giving a good price... Other than that, our stay was good, thanks Nutz backpackers

His place is a heaven for backpackers and families. I had travelled with my parents and in-laws together, we had a great time during the stay and the owner himself was there to receive us. The place is very neat and well kept, the best part is its very near to Goldern temple which is just 10 minutes walk.

Very bad experience..worst room.. worst service... drinking water was not provided late night....water was smelling...while sleeping i feel itching on body... unhygienic... pathetic

Amazing place! safe and great location. Good prices, very clean, and good facilities.They organize a range of guided trips and tours, i recommend all of them 10/10, but Food Tour with Sunny was my absolute Highlight of Amritsar.I can only recommend this place, you get to meet lots of travelers and the staff are so friendly and kind, you can easily socialize with them.

The hostel is clean, quiet and has a good atmosphere.But when we asked the owner for help to book a train ticket, the situation went quite wrong. As the last minute tiktal train tickets are available every day at 10am, we clearly made an appointment to be at the reception at 10am. The guy arrived at 9:59 and still needed to start up his computer. At 10:05 he was in the booking system of the trains and all Tiktal tickets were gone already. Next he proposed to book another train, on a less convenient hours, and even then he was too slow. In the end he booked a sitting seat in a train for 24 hours which was supposed to be a sleeper. Above all, he wanted to charge 200Rs extra for ‘booking service’. We did not agree, because almost everything went wrong with the booking part and he still did not admit the fact that he was too late. We ended up with him canceling the ticket (although paid by him) and we went totally frustrated to another hostel.

We stayed there two nights with three people. I have never received such a friendly welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in particular Sandy. The cooking class with his wife is recommended if you are interested in cooking. Not the best neighborhood but nevertheless five stars for the great activities and the staff!

Apart from the good location close to the golden temple, I cannot really find any other positive aspects. The room wasnt cleaned, the bedsheets werent replaced, the bed quite uncomfortable. The staff wasnt particularly kind or helpful to make up for it. The stay was a bit dissapointing after reading so many good reviews.. Maybe it was just an unlucky day.

I spent only two nights here...I had a great time. I was travelling solo but had the chance to meet new people. People here are really friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Interior is great.The location is perfect, only 700m from the Golden temple. It is really close to almost everything. So you dont have to worry about it during your visit.😄😄

Great hostel for backpackers. Within walking distance of Golden temple. And they also organize trips to the border ceremony. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and the space is very laid back. Would recommend without hesitation.

This is an amazing place to stay for solo traveller and most importantly a safe place for a female. Walkable distance from the Golden Temple. Very clean place for the affordable (actually cheap) price.The owner, his son and the staff were very kind and treated me like their daughter, worried about my safety, guided me on places to visit, and arranged a rickshaw for me when I was leaving . I would highly recommend this place!!!

Great hostel. Clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Friendly and helpful staff. Walkable distance to Golden Temple. I only marked them down because the shower in my room was a bit naff. Otherwise, it was a very positive experience.

A Perfect Hostel. Everything is so well designed to Create a Hostel Environment. You can use the kitchen. A.C is ON only during the Night time. There is a Common Area where you can chill out with your friends and that area has A.C too. There is a dining area. 2 Bathrooms and 2 Western Toilets. There is a terrace for smokers.

My stay was average, room was decent but clean. Staffs were polite & their behavior was nice.Nice location but far from the Golden Temple

Brand new guesthouse at amritsar market, 7 minute walk to the Golden temple!The owners Anil and his son are very kind and attentive, took care of our every need!Arranged a rickshaw driver for the wagah border ceremony, bought us tickets to the bus to mcleodganj and a rickshaw to get thereAmazing food options around including amazing kulchas!Definitely recommend this place

Simply excellent. New, clean, nice and has high standards. The staff is very kind, the interiors colourful and its in the city centre. It takes only a few minutes walk to the golden temple and the local market. There is nothing else you could wish for.

Rooms were neat and clean. Service provided was also excellent. And the ambience of that palace was superb. A nice pace.

Hosts are very friendly and bunk beds are comfortable. There are lockers also but one has to bring his own lock. Overall its in budgt and very comfortable.

Although situated in old Amritsar, the hotel has a good construction. The way to the hotel is a bit confusing and is not accessible by cars during the day. That said, the hotel has a unique concept of social room and provides a number of other facilities as well. Its a nice place to stay.

Brilliant hostel. The owner is super cool, and goes out of his way to make your stay / visit in Amritsar amazing.

The place is clean and nice enough. The location is complicated. Although is close to the Golden Temple, its on a very noisy street. If your flight leaves early they can book a rickshaw for you but is expensive and doesnt drop you at the gate of the airport but at the parking lot. Uber and Ola doesnt reach that part of the city during early morning.

Everything about this place is great! However since it is situated with the gates which lead to the golden temple, finding cabs and getting them in becomes a problem. The owner is quite cooperative.

Dirty bathroom, ants appeared everywhere, dirty towels and a bed harder than the floor. The prices offered both for airport pick-up and to go to the border, more expensive than normal.
