Enjoyed the dinner and coffee! Pizza sauce and toppings were tasty. The portions were large - sandwich (not pictured, eaten too quickly) was almost as big as the pizza! The atmosphere is cozy and family-oriented, and the restaurant was full when we first entered (got the last table).

We spent one and a half full on days in the company of Gopi, our engaging and knowledgeable guide who loves to share his city and his temple with new comers. We were greeted at the airport with a beaming smile and a bouquet of flowers for each of us, and whisked off to participate in the Wagah border ceremony. This is a colourful noisy and energetic display of national patriotism, and thats just the audience! Next we visited the Golden Temple first having sorted out a turban for Angus so he looked the part. The Temple precinct sparkles with light at night, the book ceremony is briefly boisterous and an enthusiastic cleaning crew of volunteers move in once the doors have shut to visitors, polishing every inch of the temple to an even higher lustre. Everyone knows Gopi and he has a winning way with getting us acess to behind the scenes. We went back the next day and toured the largest kitchen in the world. Anyone who wants food is fed, thousands per day. A small team of employees is supplemented by an army of volunteers who help make chapati and Dahl for and endless stream of diners. Just thinking about washing the dishes by hand for such numbers is exhausting, but these volunteers seemed to be having a great time, working with rhythm and lots of laughter. The Golden Temple by day seemed quite a different place, calm, beautiful and holy.Gopi then took us to Jillianwala Bagh, a park, and scene of a massacre of a Sikh community by the British, a poignant reminder of India’s often brutal treatment by our forefathers. We enjoyed a walk around the old city buying colourful Punjab shoes and textiles, and meeting the locals who all love selfies, before heading out to a village to spend time with 5 generations of one farming family and tour the village. All told it was a busy day and a half with so many new experiences making for a great introduction to India. 25 days later, we rate Amritsa as one of our most profound experiences. That was largely thanks to Gopi for his infectious enthusiasm and the great care he took looking after our every need. Spend time with Gopi, you will leave enriched! Keep up the good work! Hey friends, dont ever dare to step in because the pizza will force your eyes to pop out to search for the toppings on ur pizza.The chocolate shake consists of a full bottle of hersheys syrup so please stay away.Burger is good with only one one one one one thing !!! That is just mayonese (white sauce )
