Great venue for gigs. A lot of fun always to be had there.
Drink is from the streams of chernobyl. Good sounding venue.
Any business taking part in Agenda 21 deserves no stars. The management are obviously are cowards or greedy. How much in subsidies do you get for implementing covid passport checks? Very much a legally questionable process and you carry on with it because the government said so? Not a place Ill be recommending to anyone
My wife and I toured the backrooms and the venue of the Button Factory with the The Irish Rock n Roll Museum Experience tour. The stories of the different band riders was entertaining. There was a band here while we were on the tour, so it was neat to see everything in use.Im sure this place is great when packed!
Bar staff were rude and cheeky to me
Discrimination at their door. Supporting a two tier society for entry. Do not recommend, another for the Boycott list. Shame on them.
A must see tour for lovers of Music memorabilia and experience the walls of a recording studio where legends have recorded some well loved music albums. Would recommend to all music lovers seeing Dublin for the first time to experience this fantastic tour. Would return again just for the experience and great stories.
Marcus is a gentleman. Brilliant venue where you never know if youre going to bump into someone who is a star or an up and coming band. Patient door staff also.
Great place Great gig unbelievable
Simply for facilitating discrimination via vaccine passes
Recently there have been more and more punk gigs on here and its a great venue for a show! The bars are never too busy as there is one in the venue and an overflow one outside the main hall. The sound quality is great and the stage is big and the viewing for the average person is visible from all points.Ive added a picture of the Ruts DC gig recently held there (sold out) and you can see how great the stage view is!
Classic Dublin music venue. Raised stage and ample floor that accommodates a hefty standing crowd for music gigs, and often has scattered tables and chairs for spoken word shows. Bar in the room at the back with snappy good service, and decent selection of drinks. I MCd a legendary Lingo Festival spoken word show here one night with the inimitable Saul Williams. The energy and buzz in the room was special and so it will always have a special place in my heart β€οΈ
Ive seen this venue change over the years, this is the best layout yet. Great spot for seeing talent before it blows up
Great little venue in Dublin city centre. Nice bar area, and plays host to a variety of bands & music.
A great small venue but nothing fancy. Enjoyed the gig from the upper level which has its own little bar. It gets very very warm especially if you are dancing π
Daughters were incredible. The pints were tasty and the staff were inviting. Would recommend. Enjoy your night here!
Great place in a great location. Service was good and quick. Only giving 4 stars because of the stairs/ bar layout on the first floor. It was difficult to get to the bar.
Great spot for gigs and After Parties for Forbidden Fruit, Longitude (back in the day) etc. Bouncers and staff are friendlier than most typical clubs in Dublin. The balcony is great but this isnβt always open. The Button Factory hosts a wide variety of gigs but also have some classic club nights. Worth a go.
The place could have a lot of potential, but staff are absolutely rude I cant even find the right adjective to describe their level of rudeness. Life is not to be taken too seriously that you have to act like McDonalds staff protecting the ketchup. Live a little and dont spread your negative energy to people that might be easily susceptible to your negative vibes.
Great staff, friendly atmosphere and a decent pint. Great variety of music tastes catered for.
Had low expectations. Ended up being a really good night out. Great venue with multiple rooms and a big upstairs balcony. Never had any problems with security or staff like at other venues in that area. Bar staff are friendly. Drinks are very pricey though, β¬6-β¬8 a drink.
Nice place to hangout. Its not crowded as other places in temple bar street
Nice size venue for a small gig. Thoroughly enjoyed the gig I was at. Only downside was the rudeness of a member of staff when we returned a really smelly beer. One rude staff member and one smelly beer wont stop me from enjoying more gigs here but cards are marked......
Great place, thanks to Lemon Joy band for a great evening.
Great place with a lot of character, loved the balcony area that overlooked the stage
It was OK! The mezzanine was a good spot as we had a bar right behind it. The negative point was the security check at the entrance. Your security cannot get my wallet and open it without an authorisation. He should ask me to show him my wallet. He didnt only got my wallet but he removed 2 cards from it. All because of a coin. I didnt want to ruin my night, so I let it go... But please, try to avoid this act. Thanks!
Had a brilliant night at the event that I attended. The legends of old school whopper but as I entered buttons security searched me and and whips out my wallet and starts go In through it ...Not on
Whoa, what a great time! There was a bit of a wait at the door, but worth it for the night. Live music was free to tune into. If you continue toward the restroom youβll find the stage for performers. Iβd suggest stopping by to see if youβd enjoy the act. You canβt beat live music while enjoying a night of drinking. The bar was slow, and the restrooms had at least a 5 minute wait for the ladies
Such a great venue. Handy parking close by. Cheese and toast available just outside! Awesome
Great experience seeing Palaye Royal live, loved the venue as well.
Great venue and Ive seen some amazing artists here over the years. Often forgotten about as a potential go-to place at the weekend but worth keeping an eye on the upcoming schedule!
Really enjoyed the gig I was at here. Venue was lovely and seating was great.
Formerly the Temple Bar Music Centre this is an excellent venue for lively dance acts and soulful singer/songwriters alike. Big enough to allow a good crowd to dance but not so large as to swallow the sound if everyone is listening attentively. Gigs are usually reasonably priced too.
Great place with great events and music. Definitely worth a look to see whats on any time youre thinking of heading out.
Went to see a gig here at the end of January 2019.First person was the bouncer, what a big ignorant lad he was, absolutely no personality and communicated with grunts instead of any recognisable language. When we got in there was a nice comfortable crowd and bar staff were lovely. Even though they were busy they still made time to talk and smile (bouncer take note, assuming you can read).Within 20 minutes however the place was jam packed, I mean wedged to the doors with no place to move. The heat began to rise to uncomfortable levels and people were getting annoyed waiting for the show to start.Next up was the support act, who wouldnt speak into the mic but would blast your ears with high pitched squeals as an excuse for singing, nothing like the act we went to see. When she was done we assumed the main act would make an appearance soon after, but no, it was over an hour waiting in the uncomfortable heat for the main act, a ploy by the button factory to make us buy more alcohol no doubt. The main act was excellent and the stage was really good, and apart from the heat and overcrowded venue it was a good gig.Id be reluctant to go to another act here unless I had no option.Plenty of room for improvement, and all possible if it were not for the usual Irish greed, get as many as you can in the door and then take them for all they have.
Love the place. A small concert hall for underground events. Good prices and easy location
I love the button factory as a venue always a brilliant night whit great people and great staff
It was nice to go to a concert and youre feet didnt stick to the floor.
Great venue. Not too big always has amazing local and international acts.
Nice place. We took a funny pictures and had some good beers.
Really good venue for alternative music events. Sound quality is π₯.
Saw Cory Wong here. Great gig.
Great atmosphere and great gig. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.
Great, but very dark venue.
I had a fantastic time at a gig called the whistling girl featuring Honor Heffernan and Trevor Knight. I loved it. The venue had two great bars, plenty of seating and dancing space and I couldnt fault it.
Almost saw a concert here...they canceled it. Very cool space and a great bar attached to it. Didnt check out the museum but not sure I missed much.
Great venue for gigs. Friendly staff and atmosphere
Good venue...toilets could do with an upgrade but good spot for gigs
Great venue for live acts! Needed a few tables more!
