The place is nice just need a little bit of cleanliness.If they invest it could easily turn into a regular tourist place.They can even add boating option here.If you are with children you need to take extra precaution as level of pond is quite deep here.

One of the most famous and historical place in the city. The main building is surrounded by pond which also have small fishes. I visit it sometimes and find sitting there very peaceful and calm. Benches, dustbins are present !Just need a little bit of more cleanness.It is surrounded by many eateries and beautiful temples. Only bring your two wheelers !

Historical place of Aligarh, was built by the ruler of the city centuries ago and recent modernisation and beautification steps have been taken by the municipality to revive its old heritage.. A temple has also been built in the middle of the Taal and the infrastructure is good.Also, during the Ramlila in Navratras, this place is used for pictorising the Sarayoo paar episode of Ramayana whereby Lord Raama crosses the river in a boat.

The real lake in Aligarh is one of the famous pilgrimage sites here. Its history is associated with Dwapar era. It is legend that Pandav Nakul and Sahdev came here during the time of unknownness. He bathed in the immovable lake and worshiped Mahadev at Sidhpith Achelyeshwarham temple near him. The state of Marathas was spread even in the year 1700. The Scindia family had renovated Achaleshwardham here.
