I don’t really know what “authentic” Indian is supposed to taste like, but I have to imagine this is it. So delicious!! Service is great and price is as expected. Will return whenever I am in the area.

Not a great experience at all. Entrée comes in after mains, entree and dosa, comes on time but was not hot enough. Curries were good but bread naan was not even cooked as it need to be. It was really a bitter experience so far.

We were pleased to see some different dishes on the menu. Beaut food. I recommend you give it a try.

Great to finally return to Hathi. Just love the food, the service is excellent. We so enjoyed our meal and the time there. We will never spend so much time away from Hathi again. We will be back more often. Even if it just take away. Thank you to all the staff at Hathi. Truly a great night for my wife, granddaughter and myself.

We got to our accommodation late and hadn’t planned dinner, so we went for a walk and happened to come across Hathi Indian Restaurant.We were seated immediately, the table service was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was incredible.The little touches like a chilled glass to pour the beer into and the clearing of extra settings so we had more room on the table really made the experience even more fantastic.We ended up sharing a main mean and a naan bread because the serving size was so generous. We would happily go back to Hathi, and have often discussed how wonderful the service was that night.

The staff are very good. It’s some dishes with Indian names. I think the owner and the employees of the restaurant never eat there lol that’s how tasteless it is. Not worth your money and time. To all those who eat here “THIS IS NOT HOW INDIAN FOOD TASTES” People who just want to fill up their stomach without wanting to know the real taste of Indian food can eat here

Great Indian food, lovely decore, good service, reasonable prices ... Very very nice meal.

Everything was good but extra $5 for sambar was too much. Also the management should completely close the blinds in winters, nobody can sit in booths when cold wind blows.

Not bad but not great. Theres definitely much better on the coast. Food came out before our drinks, the spicy onions were inedible due to being thick raw onion rings with a little chilli on it.

I was previously a resident of the coast and remember Hathi to be one of the best Indian restaurants around.This hasnt changed, the quality, portion sizes and flavour is still as I remember.Well done :)Only criticism is we ordered an hour ahead for pre-pickup and still had to wait 15 minutes after the time.

Very dissapointed. Have been going for decades. They were short staffed so we were told we would have to wait to order. Then told again they were short staffed and we would have to wait a long time for meals...meanwhile they keep answering phones and serving takeaway.

Ordered a takeaway, had dosa mix veg and papadamus. Dosa was amazing as always but curry was under cooked, potatoes and carrots were crunchy, tasted sour(maybe old sauce). Papadamus were undercooked and not crispy at all. I had to throw the curry away, not worth spending money on it.

We usually buy take away from here and it is always very nice. Tonight, we ate at the restaurant and had the buffet dinner. It was very tasty, with a good range of vegetarian and meat-based entrees and curry choices for mains. There were also plenty of salads and cold dishes to accompany them followed by desserts. Great service and a very nice meal.

Guys the service is good but Indians wanting to go here the food DOES NOT TASTE INDIAN. You were warned. We had all our dishes made sweet if you know what that means.

Food not as good as expected had better Indian at Bli Bli and Marloolaba

Good, especially the entrees are at their level best. Highlight was tandoori chicken wings. Each and every other item was outstanding.. Tried pickled eggplant for the first time, nice taste. Chutneys were relishing. Among hot food, dosa was good, rest of the food was okay. Desserts weren’t good. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Nice location. Was busy. I have been here once before and put it on my Must revisit list. And I was not wrong. The all you can eat buffet (Thursday -Weekend) is a special experience. Time to try a few things, Indian food, at a crazy low price.

Doesn’t taste like Indian food.........we ordered medium to hot, but it’s taste sweet.....no palak in palak paneer. Naan was very hard to chew, seems like it made up of plastic. service was terrible. If, there is any option of 0 star I will give that.

The spice level wasnt as I expected as in most Indian restaurants they were too sweet, the service was quite not upto the mark and we have been served with some dirty plates and glass considering how quite it was isnt easy to let go.

Ordered a vegetable korma. Potato korma would be more apt! No carrots, no mushrooms, no onions, I think 2 pieces of green bean, the rest was just chunks of potato. I’ve eaten this dish previously in the restaurant and it was delicious, full of different vegetables.A huge disappointment!

While the food is very good, the service has something to desire. Twice in the past week, both on a Friday ordering takeaway, the food has been ready way beyond the stated time. The first Friday, being told 40 minutes at time of order, the food was ready after waiting an additional 20 minutes. This past Friday, after being told 40 minutes at time of order, after waiting an additional 35 minutes, the food was not ready. No reason was given and it appeared no one of the restaurant staff knew what to do. There were nearly 20 others waiting for their food. Of the three tables with patrons, only one of them had food. While I want to support our local businesses, particularly during these times, this is unacceptable.

We only had take away. The food was excellent and the currys came with rice already (in 2 different containers). The garlic nann was beautiful.

The dishes that we had tonight were delicious. Well cooked with wonderful spices - they smelt so aromatic. The Garlic Naan was huge and had real garlic pieces (not just flavouring). It was great value for money and we would definitely recommend Hathi if youre in the Mooloolaba/Alexandra Headland/Maroochydore area.

It was a good buffet. I think I came at a bad time it wasnt a little late but by no means at the end of service. Some dishes were empty and some dishes look like theyd been there awhile. They did get refilled and the food was actually pretty gold. Probably give it another chance one of these days.

As my first time to an Indian restaurant Im glad we had a friend with us who could recommend what we might like. It was beautiful, will definitely be going back.

These guys never disappoint! My Gf and I always come here for Indian. The flavours are amazing and the quality is second to none. We normally get take away and the portions are perfect. Cant go wrong with a Korma and Spicey Nan!

Good food. We went for the buffet option on Sunday night which had a decent spread. Everything tasted great (including the sweets) and was well worth the money we paid. The only thing we missed was naan bread not being part of the buffet.

We ordered our meal as a takeaway. Food was hot, spicy and satisfying. We ordered the two meal combo with two curry dishes, two rice, naan and papadams and there was enough food to comfortably feed 4 adults. We ordered the Beef Madras and the Chicken Tikka Masala - both were very good. Restaurant was very clean and classy and staff were friendly and helpful.

Never eat buffet at this restaurant. They give us the buffet food even we place the menu food. So disgusting food but service is good. So friendly staffs.

Rude woman at the counter brushed aside my question when I asked about nuts in a specific dish. She also ignored my request to ask the chef to double check there were no nuts in the dish. I have a nut allergy and ended up too nervous to have my takeaway. Most places usually reassure me and notify the kitchen to be extra careful when preparing the meal, so I won’t be coming back here.

So after getting poor service from another take away turned up and had food in 20 mins.Wonderful people and food was fantastic.Spot on

My partner and I eat here really often, by far the nicest curry I’ve ever eaten. Great selection of vegetarian meals as well. My Dad loves curry but is pretty critical given he’s travelled all through south/south-east Asia, and even he thought it was really nice when I brought him some on a visit :)
