Excellent place. Must visit.

So bad that we paid and left! The photos in the description are out of date. The place is in disrepair. It is mouldy and dank with live electrics on the wall. Cobwebs all over the place. The hammocks were the only redeeming feature. It is not accessible by car. The bed was basically just a bit of wood. It was so bad we paid and left to check in somewhere else. Dont waste your time and money!

Pros:Good location. Very economical.Cons: Less food options. Approach road not good.

Budget friendly rooms. But the main drawback is the bugs and flies that accompany you over the nights.Has great view over the backyard and the backwaters on the front.

Beautiful place, hidden between the backwaters, with warm tropical vibes. The rooms are very simple, and you will definitely feel close to the nature - so if you have problems with bugs and geckos, just be prepared. However, it definitely worth the experience, so it can be time to fight these fears. ;) The guys are super nice and helpful, always around. (Rent a scooter, because it is a bit far from the city on foot...)

Draped in colourful flowers and plants, this hostel sits right on the banks of Alleppeys backwaters. Lemon Dew has several beautiful wooden huts perfect for couples as well as a dormitory the budget traveler. Between the buildings there are several areas to relax in, especially out the back by the wooden deck and hammocks that face the paddy fields.

Very poor service and poor hygiene.The place itself is unhygienic and should be careful before you book their.They even threatened the neighborhood resort when a customer vacated this poor place for a better place .They charge a premium for every normal service.Please avoid this please, look elsewhere for a peaceful stay

Lemon Dew Place is hard to trace and reach. Very Dirty place besides dirty, bad smell backwater lake. People are bathing and Washing their cloth inside lake. Toilet and bathroom are not clean and no water inside it. I not recommend this place for stay. Food at Lemon Dew is unhygienic.

The location looking over the backwaters is amazing, however it is far from everything (>15min walk to reach ferry or rickshaws). The host is friendly, but unfortunately never available, which makes settling in and organizing tours etc. quite difficult. The amenities couldve been cleaner (I can only speak for the dorm and shared bathroom). I guess you get what you pay for.

Excellent and peaceful place. Hammocks and verandah for sunrise and sunset views. Lake view on one side and paddy fields on the other side. Very friendly staff.

May be a good place for foreigners.. Lots of partiality in every small thing for Indians...even for Food..Needs real improvement in basic facilities.. N mainly the cleanliness to be taken care of..Wont prefer to visit again.

The lemon dew is one of that special places, where you accidentally get stuck for a while, because its energy is so good, that you just cant leave. you see the sunrise over the river directly from your bed, you observe hundreds of fire flies on the rice field from your hammock and get in touch with this special kind of travellers. sanil and ashkan welcome you with such big hearts, make you feel home in whole alleppey. their boat-tour is amazing too. thank you, see you soon!

Its very good place to live and staff is very friendly Ness only one thing is transfer city to hotel its 3 km distance govt boat service is available cost is just 5 RS every one hour you will get boat otherwise you can go auto by book cost is 70 RS or you can take rental bike.

Tucked in a quiet village surrounded by paddy fields and the backwaters. Great backpackers hostel and very chilled vibe :-)

Pros- Cool, soothing, calm place, amazing view, small but comfortable rooms, and good staff.Cons- Too away from the city. Even for an auto you need to walk for 800 meters and ferrey is never on time. No availability of food. WiFi was not working. Shower was not working. Room service was not good.

Nice Homestay always filled with many foreigner. Nice food they serve.

We were in the lemon dew in the river side (maybe there is other one, because the rewies here are very different from the place I was) the room behind receptcion is horrible, dirty, windows with broken glasses, mosquito net mouldy...we had to move to other place because was so bad and besides there is a building site in the terrace.The comunal kitchen is dangerously dirty...please check the pictures I took to see the real place at january 2019.

Its a very pleasent place for a vacation, with a neat natural environment... The people over their are so Gud and friendly.... Me and my husband spend a very Gud time over there...we enjoyed the boat ride to town...and we love to walk near the lake ...this stay makes us completely to get rid of our stress...we are planning to spend our next vacation also there..thank you lemon due guys...

Beautiful location, very basic facilities but great for the money

I stayed here for 12 days and it was wonderful. On one side of the homestay is the lake, on the otherside rice fields. I stayed in one of the huts which are surounded with a beautiful garden with lots of plants, and creative and lovely artistic decorations. Everything is clean and the food is very tasty. I want to mention especially the 3 very nice guys who are working in the Lemon Dew, who make the food, decorations, and who did everything for a great stay. Allways in a good mood and ready for evenings with music and talks. Theyre so kind and friendly and become somewhat like friends in this less days. A really great and lovely place.

This place was cool! Alot of insects during the night but really cosy if you put up the mosquito net properly around the bed, its np! Beautiful spot. I cant believe this place had wifi aswell. We originally went here for houseboating but decided to go canoeing instead wich was just amazing, a highlight of our trip to india.Dont take a tuktuk to this place as it cant bring you all the way there but use the public ferry from alleppey. Its cheaper and more convenient.
