This mosque is located a bit away from the main road. Now there is some construction works so the juma is done in a large hall they made near the mosque.

A very famous mosque located in the heart of Alappuzha district. Assayyid ahmad mahdali (R) , who came to Kerala from Makkah 3 centuries ago and preached Islam here, his grave rests inside the mosque. Assayyid pookkoya thangal (R) resting darga outside the mosque. The mosque is in an attractive state of architecture. Adjacent to the mosque there have ancient Islamic Daras (studying) system working under Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya as named Hashimiyya Islamic Sharee Ath College.
