As a sister of a cancer patient , I am sharing my experience with Dr. Hemang Baxi and HCG cancer center team. My brother, aged 62, was a chronic asthma patient and was by chance, in other checking, was diagnosed with Kidney cancer. Because brother was a chronic asthma patient, we had to go for Robotic surgery and for that the best name in the field we found was Dr. Hemang Baxi. With all our city scan reports, we met Dr. Hemang Baxi. We were so much anxious and worried. It was natural because of cancer wedded to very poor lungs of chronic asthma. Our first meeting with Dr. Hemang Baxi was so soul soothing. He explained our position and asked us to treat lungs firstly without which operation was impossible even with robotics. We got the pulmonary treatment from Dr. Varun Patel and Dr. Dumra, due to which my brother got lungs functioning from 33% to 60-70% and he got operated with robotics by Dr.Baxi , to our surprise, without any blood loss, without ventilator or even extra oxygen. We believe that the patient and his family who came with fear of loss of life were given new life because of none but Dr. Baxi and his team. As a student of psychology, I noticed that though Br. Baxi is a thorough rationalist, his being is full of great EQ qualities which touches the patient’s heart and without his knowledge, his vibrations fill the hearts of patient and his family with a ray of hope and optimism. Somehow, whenever we met him, we had purely medical consultations but somehow his sobriety, nobility, clarity of logic etc always gave us new hope and zeal for life. Without any exaggeration, I would say that he has lucky hands which make his operations successful, Nature support him because of his genuinety, dedication, his expertise and mostly because of his purity of heart and true patient centric attitude. HCG staff, Nursing staff, the hospital administration, and total ambience of the hospital is also very homely and nice. It is not of typical hospital type which frightens us having typical hospital smell etc. We are thankful to Dr. Rajubhai Dave for his support and personal care, Dr. Dumra and Dr. Varun Patel for pulmonary treatment of a patient with very weak lungs and for SGVP staff for supporting all the testing.
