When i visit here, it is closed. Nothing is available here except one bridge that knows as dandi bridge from where you take view .

The bridge will now be an access to the river front.The silent-zone project at the Ashram has mostly relied on creating public spaces that are quiet, peaceful and are accessible by all. Creation of an Ashram plaza with dense trees and cobbled paths, canopies with seating arrangements and a possible cafeteria is also being incorporated in the plans.A special promenade will link Dandi bridge to the river front. Keeping in mind the aim of the Ashram, every piece of architecture will symbolise peace, tranquillity and encourage introspection, CEPT university professor Utpal Sharma.In a recent survey, authorities found that visitors had been complaining that the Ashram doesnot display adequate information about the Mahatma. Lack of infrastructure to cater to specific needs of visitors and tourists was another common complain.

Great heritage site

Its a historical place. From hear Mahatma Gandhi passed for famous Dandi March in 1930. What a great experiment for Satyagraha.

It is the bridge near Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad. When Mahatma Gandhi started Dandi March from the Ashram, he passed through this bridge. For common public the bridge is closed. It is well maintained ,tourist can see it from little away.

Mahatma Gandhi has revealed India from tax on Salt & he started his march towards Dandi from this bridge, which is just located few meters away from Gandhi Ashram.. I gave 3 stars because Govt. Needs to maintain this monument.. They should stop me feeling sad when I see the bridge due to its condition..

Its in the gujrat gandhi nagar we have visited gujrat for attending the marriage I went to the hotel opposite to the dandi bridge and I have enjoyed the view of sabarmati river thankyou gujrat
