Premium was 5k elite was 3k but elite room was way better than premium. We had booked 3 rooms, 2 premium and 1 elite. Shower was not working in premium, toothpaste was not provided for all rooms, soap was not given to 1 premium room. Breakfast I had to wait for table to be empty. Even though we have taken premium rooms they charge extra for heater. The view is good from premium rooms but alas.. there are much better hotels with Lake view and less than half rate than this hotel but much better in services. I gave premium room to my parents thinking it would have better stuff than my room which was elite but sadly.. they didnt knew that these many stuff should come by default and I didnt think of checking since these are expected services. Overall bad experience

Worth for the room which is having lake view....for other side i will not suggest. Good service, good servants and very nice breakfast. Please use the breakfast its really better then outside food. I will definitely recommend this.

Aint a 3 star property as it claims. At best, a 1 star or 1/2 star. I booked their best room, which is Premium Lake View Room, and the experience I had was horrible. Pros:The room has some decent views and thats the only good thing about it. Cons:Its a veg only hotel. Theres a heater in room and youve to pay extra to get the heater remote, because thats not included in room charges. (And its their best room - Premium Lake view)There is no dental kit (which is like a basic amenity even in cheap lodges) and when I ask for it, I get a call after 10 mins stating Ive to pay extra for that.I am fine with the room charges - Instead of 3k, make it 4k or 5k, but have the courtesy to include these basic amenities.And while booking, their card reader had issues, and they didnt wanna admit me until I make payment. After spending a night in a 4 star hotel, my bad I booked this hotel. Never again

Location and rooms are good. Food also good and economy.Not good in event management and few managerial staff behaviour is too bad. They have taken huge amount from me for birthday venue arrangements and later we spend another huge amount , manpower, time etc...to make it in good. No discount or refund given for their mistakes and inefficiency. Very bad behavior and attitude for few malayalees who were handled the event decorations.

We had booked online for executive rooms @1500/day and breakfast 800 for 2. After we arrived we upgraded to premier rooms at 5th floor by providing extra 1000/day. The room was fantastic with amazing view point. But the breakfast was way too monotonous as they included idly,dosa,puri, sandwich everyday. No juices Available other than lime juice. Tea coffee was superBut 400 INR and only these items everyday not worthy. They could have included noodles, pancakes, soups, different types of sandwiches and few types of juices as well. After staying for 3days in premier room on 5th floor we switched to elite room on 3rd floor due to non availability of rooms. We were asked to book it online which cost us 2100without breakfast. There was no hair dryer, room had no plug points except one for kettle. They charged 50rs for low quality slippers. We opted for room heater but wasnt working, we spent literally 2hours for getting manual room heater and they charged 450+tax -510Inr for the small room heater which actually might cost 1000rs originally. Even though we had already paid for breakfast they constantly charged breakfast charges while checking out not once but twice. No water purifier inside the room. For anything you call the reception they will speak about the charge first. Overall not good

Very nice hotel, location is also superb. Ypu can literally be in the presence of nature when youre staying here. The ooty lake is distinctly visible from the hotel, and the food menu is quite large and exquisite. Its a value gor money and a lot more. Service is also good.

The worst hotel Ive ever stayed in my life..I am a traveler and I proceeded with my booking in this cheap hotel. And there the worst experience started. I checked in between 2:15pm to 2:45pm on 15th of March and I parked my car infront of hotel where security told me to park and I checked my car all the sides as usual before leaving it in parking area for safety concerns. Fortunately theres a cctv camera in the parking too.I noticed it before entering the hotel. The next day morning when I came out and saw my car was damaged. Exactly near right side door area. Huge damage and few scratches. I called the front desk people and told that and the person named Bikram assured me not to worry and he said that they have live cctv footage. So I told them to show me the footage immediately and he told that they dint have computers where live footage is running inside the hotel(front desk). He told me to wait for 1 hour. I said I cant because that was my vacation and I had planned places to visit. I Started after telling the hotel people to take the footage and send it to me. They agreed and they acted like working in it. I didnt get any call after I left the hotel and I Called the head office and the lady who spoke to me assured me again not to worry but no response. I called these irritating people multiple times but no response. So disappointed and so much annoyed.I reached the hotel by evening and asked them again. They refused and made me wait till night. I called them at night from my room phone and people told me that the concerned cctv person named Ashish checked the footage and we will send it to you right away. This was told by the front desk person named Anitha. I believed them and again no response. The next day morning I called the hotel number which I found from Google and one guy spoke to me very rudely that what I would do with the footage and I warned him that hes talking out of his limits and rights and he hung up the call. I got a call again and told me to wait till 9.30am and then they will allow the footage. But people my check out time was at 10:00AM. I told them to stop creating stories and send me just like that without footage. I called front desk again from my room phone and Bikram attended the call and spoke unethically and unprofessionally and hung up the call. And one lady from the front desk called me and made me go to the front desk. They both took me to a room. I got terribly shocked to see that the room is so big and they had TVs where live footage from all the cameras are running. I mean what the hell. The same person lied to me and spoiled my two days saying that they dont have cctv footage TVs and they dont dont have computers. And they told one imaginary name who saw footage last night and footage is ready. And when I asked why you hung my call rudely and where is the parking video. It showed NO VIDEO coz the video was deleted and they gave me this silly reason that only the parking cctv wire was bitten by a rat and it was not working for a week. What a drama? And my questions are,1. Why havent you repaired the wire when it was not working?2. Why did you tell me that cctv footage was checked by us and it was ready?3. Why did you lie about cctv TVs (that you didnt have inside hotel) and wasted my two days when you had a separate room for these?4. Why didnt you take me the time where I asked for footage and inform me about the rat story and there is no video?5. Where is the customer relationship maintained?5. How did you deny that this didnt happen when you couldnt frame a lie properly?

No PrivacyMe and my wife stayed in room 501 which is from premium category with so called lakeview.We requested to shift our room from 501 to another room of same category as the stairs were parallel to our room making the room exposed to people who used the stairs. Me and especially my wife were very uncomfortable as there was no privacy at all. The view of the lake went for a toss as we had to keep the blinds closed at all times. We were denied of a room being changed as they said The Rooms Were Full which was clearly a lie as we knew only 2 out of 6 rooms were booked. Since it was pre booked we were given no option but to continue staying there in the same situation for 3 days.2. ExpensiveThe room which we had opted for was for rupees ...night with very basic amenities which you will easily get at any hotel with ...k. The hotel promised chappals which is a requirement as the floor becomes pretty cold at nights. Yet they denied us of it saying that they dont provide it coz of covid. If that was true they should have stopped providing towels too.3. SecludedThere is no option for you if you wish to opt for something else other than hotel food for dinner. Not only they try to oversell their buffet as a last resort for u, they keep their kitchen closed leaving you with no option other than eating at their buffet. They only open their kitchen for dinner after their buffet is closed which is from 8-10:30.4. Served Buffet leftovers as Dinner:As we were in the mood for eating something light, we opted for ordering after 10:30pm. To our surprise, they had kept only one option in rice and one in sabzi which was obviously leftovers from the buffet.5. Treated Guests as customersLast but not the least, they have highly underestimated the comfort of their guests and treated their stay strictly as business. They have not even attempted to consider or try to sabotage the issues that we faced. 6. Only purely Veg and No Alcohol allowedOne thing that we realised after reaching the hotel is that they not only serve purely Veg (not even eggs) but they also do not allow alcohol at their hotel and have put up signages all over of not consuming it. Before you choose to bring your own alcohol and consuming it in your rooms, please confirm with the management. We personally did not enquire about it as we are non vegetarians but not too much into alcohol.It was not only us, but during our entire stay we have observed other guests also being displeased by something or the other.POSITIVE SIDES1. Complementary breakfastBreakfast being complementary with the room was consistently good. They served almost the same module of breakfast everyday with a change of one item everyday which was monotonous yet less risky as they kept consideration of people coming from various states to have some or the other option as per their eating habits2. Staff was politeLeaving aside the obviously money oriented and non considerate Management and Reception, the house keeping and service staff of the hotel is extremely polite.

The place and the lake view is fantastic. It has the Ooty lake right opposite to it. Try choosing a room on the top floors with a good-view. Otherwise, its not worth it. The food, however, was pathetic. We could not travel out at night since it was cold and had to rely on the hotel food. The chef and kitchen staff have to change. It would have been a better experience if the food was good.

Visited this place in December and must say one of the best decision that we had taken to stay here. Good location, bang opposite the lake, breakfast on the terrace with lake view.Coming to food - Veg restaurant but quality food. Though we are non-vegetarian, we enjoyed the veg dishes offered here.Breakfast buffet has limited options but still good.Staff is well disciplined and well mannered and ready to help.We stayed here for 4 days and room cleaning used to happen whenever we asked for. Overall a recommended place if you visit with your family.

I personally didnt like this place. The choice of food , staffs arrogance and front staff ignorance towards the request made by customer are few things I can list which goes totally against this place. They wont even provide heater free of cost. They will charge you Rs 400-500 per night in case you are feeling cold. Moreover if you place an order from restaurant, make sure you have 1-1.5h waiting time in advance.The only positive thing about this place is the view it offers from restaurant. Apart from it everything else is just a BIG NO.

Location is just in front of ooty Lake, heart of ooty. Rooms are OK. A bit old hotel. Staff are nice.But worst thing is restaurant. Very poor service. Taste also not so good. Takes more than 40 minutes for 1 vegetable and 6 roti. And its highly overpriced also. Instead evening snacks and pizza were nice.

The rooms were excellent and well maintained. The lake view from the balcony was so beautiful. But the service was not upto the mark. Despite paying more for premium rooms, there were glaring issues.- The electronic door key didnt work.- we had to pay extra for room heater.- had no dental kits in room (very bad excuse that it was out of stock)- had no tea sachets in room (got it after calling & requesting front desk)- hot water wasnt available often.- one order at restaurant never came through.

If you arrive early only god help. They dont entertain early check-in. Check in is allowed only after 12pm. We reached at 9:30am and were not allowed early check-in even after most of the rooms were vacant. Entire day got wasted.Common washroom provided in waiting area is horrible (check pic).Except view nothing is great for this hotel. Avoid at all cost if you are reach here before 12.

This hotel has fantastic rooms, wooden flooring and clean bathrooms. The only small drawback is their room service. They provide wifi password for only 1 device at a time. For another phone, you have to again call and get another paas word. Also the food is not the best but not bad either.

Hotel Darshan is located right infront of the famous Ooty lake. We stayed in there premier room which has a balcony with the lake view. The stay was comfortable. They even have bonfire everyday with snacks, pizza etc which was a plus.The only issue we had was the fact that the rooms didnt have enough cupboards for storage. There is just one but the space is taken up by locker. The breakfast is delicious specially there garlic chutney, Puri Sabzi and Chole Bhature. The food from the restaurant is also worth mentioning, the Kadhai Paneer was fab.The bathrooms were clean as well except the curtains. The bedsheets have been used to many times and was not comfortable.

Wifi doesnt work for more than one hour. Each time you call them for wifi they will say they will check it, but they never do.5. They force you to take buffer in dinner which costs 550 per head and doesnt have many varieties. They may give you false hope while convincing you for buying buffet. Dont fall in that trap.6. In lunch time if you order something, they may send you last nights left out dish. I got one smelly dish which they didnt bother to check.7. Break fast time is 8 to 10 but mostly they will start after 9 which means if you want to leave early you wont get breakfast.8. Staff is lazy and dont really care if you ask for something.

I told them to stop creating stories and send me just like that without footage. I called front desk again from my room phone and Bikram attended the call and spoke unethically and unprofessionally and hung up the call. And one lady from the front desk called me and made me go to the front desk. They both took me to a room. I got terribly shocked to see that the room is so big and they had TVs where live footage from all the cameras are running. I mean what the hell. The same person lied to me and spoiled my two days saying that they dont have cctv footage TVs and they dont dont have computers. And they told one imaginary name who saw footage last night and footage is ready. And when I asked why you hung my call rudely and where is theb parking video. It showed NO VIDEO coz the video was deleted and they gave me this silly reason that only the parking cctv wire was bitten by a rat and it was not working for a week. What a drama? And my questions are,1. Why havent you repaired the wire when it was not working?2. Why did you tell me that cctv footage was checked by us and it was ready?3. Why did you lie about cctv TVs (that you didnt have inside hotel) and wasted my two days when you had a separate room for these?4. Why didnt you take me the time where I asked for footage and inform me about the rat story and there is no video?5. Where is the customer relationship maintained?5. How did you deny that this didnt happen when you couldnt frame a lie properly?Attached all the pictures for reference.

If we go by the facilities, hotel is quite good. Rooms are large enough and neat and clean as well. Washroom is of decent quality. But as we visited during the pandemic situation, staff was limited so other services were not upto the mark. Each and every service was running late along with the food which was of medium quality and taste was also below average. This could be due to limited staff, not sure about that. But in case of breakfast which was complementary by the way was amazing for both days. It was delicious and healthy as well. Apart from this, the view of the Ooty from the hotel is quite amazing. A pleasing experience. So, u cam definitely consider this hotel once it is working with its full staff capacity.

1.Lack off management... we are feeling very bad... check in formalities are just a hell for customers... leterally check in time was more than international flights... 3 hrs waiting.

First thing first.The Location.1. Amazing Hotel2. Ambience, Aminities, Decorations3. 24*7 working staff with room facilities, well behave and fully professional4. The food, restaurant, the viewso these are the words which describe THE DARSHAN. In one word AWESOME.The familiar behave of hotels staff and service. I loved it.

I stayed with family in Dec 2020, and overall stay, services and view from hotel were very good. Hotel staff was very supportive and morning breakfast at hotel 5 out of 5.
