My Go to place everyday

Peaceful environment in a very calm livelihood. Church looks very old but divine place to pray, to worship, to relax yourself and to feel your soul. But a lot vegetation grown around this place, that needs to be removed and cleaned up to keep this old & calm place clean and suitable to seat.

Maybe one of the oldest church in the area. Built almost four decades ago, it was also only place of worship around drive in road. When built it was rather unknown. Folks from the neighbourhood usually visited this place to feed stray dogs etc & to also look at the peacocks in the church yard. The priests, when not performing mass, used to sit outside in the garden helping the local students & youth in academic choice, preparing for exams, interviews, employment or business issues etc. The church also gave a roof to sleep to certain youth who did odd jobs like electricians, plumbers, mechanics etc. During riots & curfew in cities, the church used to arrange for food stuff etc for the needy. People of different faith also gave donation to this church. Even during the earth quake the church reached out to those living in flats & tall buildings. One of the few place of worship in Ahmedabad that did have any loud blaring speakers nor any loud fireworks during festival seasons.

So peaceful! Whenever you are upset or feel like you dont have any scope in living ahead, come here, youll surely find peaceWell, you wont actually be alone here. You would have squirrels, sooo many small small birds, less people, no traffic jams, etc etcAnd if you are lucky enough, you will find peacocks roaming around you peacefullyThey come so near to you as they have that faith that you can NEVER hurt someone. And Jesus, always there to support you, always there to show you the right track, always there to catch you if you are about to fall! Love this place

Saint Mary Church is located behind Ahmedabad Education Ground and on way from KASA foot ball ground. It is build inside residential area in a small plot.The Church is in open area and nicely built. It has space available for people to offer their prayers.
