I am a big fan of paranthas. And paranthas here are mouth watering and finger licking. Dont forget to try dahi mamri and lassi.

This place has a great history and has been a favorite of the office crowd around the area - not just because of the food but also because of the friendly and humble owner. Devarsh is the owners son who has joined the business.My wife took me to this place to get to try their paranthas and experience the ambiance as she used to frequent this place.To begin with, this place isnt at all vegan-friendly - not in terms of quality. Their specialty is paranthas cooked in ghee (clarified butter), so that made it tough to get their authentic dishes with us being vegan. Majority of the items in their menu involved Paneer. When we asked the gentleman attending our table to make everything in oil for our order, he mentioned twice that it wont be fun without ghee. We went ahead with our order of an Aloo Pyaaz Garlic Paratha, Aloo Matar Sabzi, Tawa Roti with Roasted Papad. Aloo Pyaaz Parantha was good. The stuffing ratio is the highest Ive seen till date. However, I tasted a lot of coriander and garam masala in the parantha - something which probably ghee would have shielded. Some lemon juice in the stuffing would have made the spices less intense in taste. Aloo Matar Sabzi was great. Tawa Roti was great - fresh, hot and soft. Papad was great. They served food in these environment-friendly plates which were great.The place is a house verandah turned into a restaurant. Theres plenty of seating available with chairs-tables and additional seating space created by installing stone at the perimeter of the structure. You will often see the owner chatting with the guests, many of whom would most likely be regulars. Having said that, the problem can be finding the parking, especially for the cars, as there is a very small space available outside.Payment here is cash only, so your cards would be useless here.Overall, nothing much for vegans unless they deliberately decide to develop recipes for tasty oil-based paranthas. While sabzi-roti was great, I wont drive down all the way to the other side of the city for that.

Devarsh -a food venture inspired by late mrs vaisali w/ o mr dakshesh desai, offers best quality and super tasting stuffed paratha on heart of ashram road, ahmedabad.I recommend Paneer Pyaz paratha, a heavenly delight made from spiced Paneer, finely chopped onions and garlic. Accompanied with mint chutney and dahi. Makes it wholesome meals.

Looters at Ashram Road...They charged Rs 30 as outside Soft drinks charge...On questioning they replied rudely saying its their rule and we are bound to follow it... Their owners are very rude...And this rule of theirs is nowhere mentioned in their restaurant regarding outside Soft drinks not allowed moreover they said we used their glasses thats why they have charged us....Their food too is taste less and too much costly...

It is one thing to be expensive and other to be overpriced. And then comes Devarsh.The food is on good side of average and quantity is so less that a small kid wouldnt be full after eating combo plate (1&2 both).Went there because of good reviews on Google and was surprised how could someone give it 5 stars!!!Only reason that seems fair must be reviews given by friends and family. Otherwise a paying customer would never give it good reviews.So if want to be disappointed and think that your wallet is getting too heavy for your pocket, visit devaesh and write a review.

Had heard of Devarsh since sometime now!Finally went there for lunch.Went crazy over how AWESOME and TASTY their Aloo Amritsari subji was. Loved it.😍I liked it so so much that next day I went again to take same subji again along Paneer Butter Masala for takeout. I wanted to test the consistency for quality and taste, and they passed with flying colors. Aloo Amritsari was same taste as before, and Paneer was great and unique too.Overall, this has immediately taken position among my top 10 in Ahmedabad. 🏅On the flip side, even though its unique in texture and size, we didnt like Aloo Onion Paratha at all. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Next time Im going to try another paratha variety to give proper justification on thatRecommendations:# Aloo Amritsari (ask them to make it spicy)# Paneer Butter Masala# Chhas🥛Negatives:# Aloo Onion Paratha# Quantity of subji (this is debatable as its cheap as well)

Its such a cool/happenin/down to Earth Paratha and lunch food place ... It is actually in the premises of the house of the owner and he cooks for us purely out of his Love for food. Ab koi pyaar se khilane wala mil jaaye, toh log toh aayenge hi. And the timings are pretty decent too. Its 4hours in the afternoon.. I cant recollect but it was somewhere between 11am to 3pm on regular days, Sundays k liye it was alag. All in all, GREAT FOOD, LOTS OF LOVE !

One of my favourite place to enjoy fresh, hygienic and a bit tasty food. This restaurant is located on Ashram Road, started by a ex-businessman in an open compound of their bunglow. He is supported by his wife and a son. What I like the most about this place is its ambience - its open non-AC restaurant, surrounded by trees and airy compared to a typical AC restaurant. They menu has limited options however they are known for their Parathas. One stuffed Paratha is good enough for a person. I am not a very big fan of stuffed Paratha. I normally order plain Paratha as it reminds me my early days of Saurashtra. During those days todays restaurants were called parotha house. Devarsh charges quite higher side as compared to quantity served but I dont mind to pay for the sack of the reasons I mentioned at first. They serve Amul Shreekhand and its charges (not mentioned in menu since they dont make it). The shocking is that one cup of Shreekhand were costing INR 30 and within 3-4 months (during may-jun-july 2018) they started charging INR 50. A steep increase which normally go unnoticed. I dont like such approach. Service is very slow and needs improvement. I had given my feedback to the owner basis of our experience but his response wasnt satisfactory. He indirectly told me that things will remain like this and he cant do much about it. They serve only during the day time 11am-3pm on weekdays and till 2pm on Saturdays. Try stuffed Paratha once or go if your ambience taste is same as mine... and of course dont mind to pay a bit higher.. 😊 bon appetit.. !!!Please:-Be humble and be nice to people...-Be a responsible citizens and take care of your self and surroundings...-Spread Love & Happiness, Keep Smiling and Embrace Life...You are Awesome...!!

This was my 3rd - 4th visit to this place and that too with my office professional group. Looks he might had some advance booking with some travel group where he was still allowing others to join and taking order (might be just to impress that he always has fool house, yeah u read it right fool and not full). We ordered n waited for double than committed around 40-45min n asked status in normal way. Obviously anyone come to any eating outlate dont come for fullday like picnic and expect some timeline. Instead of regret person was saying wait more 40mns and will deliver ur food if available. Really is it something charitable trust cafe that u expect owner to respond like this if available. Might be he first time in lifetime experiencing travel group and not bother for regular customer and if thats the case he better to shift to tourist destination instead of middle of city. But i doubt when it also will be right for customer there as i never seen highway dhaba wala even talking like that.My advice better to Go via travel agent booking in 40-50 or try ur luck. If you are lucky enough u will be served or might get response like us or ur food with grace of owner. Cmon i am sure u even wont think as u gonna pay more than their food so why should u keep experimenting in city like Ahmedabad.
