Taste was ok but food was Cold and stale. They just make the whole lot in the morning and then serve it again by double frying it. Dont go with all the positive reviews and vloggers reviews. You will get disappointed.There is no Gujrati Thali served here.

On busy days people even wait 45 mins to get their order.Legacy - This eatery has been visited by Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Amitabh Bachchan, Raj Kapoor and its a part of Ahmedabads rich cultural heritage.Parking - It is located in a conjusted lane which is one way, parking for cars is a problem. So better take a cab or come by two wheeler.What I didnt like - Even though it is such a famous and old eatery, and surely must be generating enough revenue, it is not well maintained and very clean, which it should be. Paint is coming off the walls, seating is not that good. Parts of kitchen, cleaning area are visible from dining area.The place has great taste and it is definitely worth visiting. But they should definitely work on the aesthetics as well.

Visited this place today for their speciality items Fafda and Jalebi.Fafda and Jalebi were really tasty but fafda served were not hot.Chatni(kadhi) served with fafda was very tasty.We also had lilvani kachori.It was also good in taste.I strongly recommend to visit this place for fafda and Jalebi.You will definitely visit this place again and again after having their fafda and Jalebi tasted.The drawback of this place is that being on the main busy Gandhi road, parking of vehicles is a big problem.Rest are okay.

Located in Old Ahmedabad, this shop has been serving yummy gujju food for more than 120 years now, and they r a pioneer at it.We went here for breakfast at around 10.30,within minutes it was a full house. We tried Jalebi, Gathiya and Chai.Gathiya was served with Kadhi and raw papya Chutney. Soft warm Gathiya tasted yummy with d Kadhi. Jalebi was Crispy n juicy. Chai was traditional gujrati chai, depending on ur taste buds u might or might not like it. Service was super quick. All of this costed us 140/- value for money. Ambience is just basic, nothing special, the food talks for itself.

Went there for breakfast after heritage walk. A living heritage, 120 year old restaurant serving pure Gujarati food. I was extremely surprised to know that it served Gujrati thali for just 1 Rs in year 1900..Fafda Jalebi were amazing and so was everything else. Loved it.

I have had listen lot about this restaurant that it is very old restaurant and serves good food especially jalebi fafda. So when I am in ahemdabad I decided to go to chandravilas at around 11 oclock, there are very few people around 3 or 4 who are eating jalebi fafda. I have a look around restaurant. Then I ordered jalebi fafda, jalebi is very ordinary like any other Street shops. I am eating fafda first time so I am not able to judge that, and the cost of 3 circles of jalebi is 45 rupees that is very high for that kind jalebi(which is very thin and small). And fafda is also of 45 rupees. I ordered jalebi fafda both of 90 rupees and have my first experience of eating it and that is very ordinary.

An awesome place to have breakfast. If you want to try all the snack items that they have a hen go for Mix Special Thali... It has so much in quantity that two people can easily have it. It is said to the oldest restaurant and Gandhiji had their breakfast there. The heritage walk also ends there.
