I picked this for the location, which was great especially if you want to go to Taj early in the morning. But that’s not what ended up being the best thing about this place, the service was just incredible. The family that runs this place made sure that I was able to fit in everything I wanted to in my short time there and them made sure I made it to my train. They don’t try to sell you things, they genuinely offer you options and you can partake in whatever with no pressure. I’d also recommend their henna contact, she’s super talented.

This hostel is more than a hostel. It is a place where you are made to feel at home with a caring and friendly family around you.Only good things to say about this place. The staff was very friendly and nice. They all were more like an old friend. The atmosphere is good. The best thing about the place is its location which is very close to Taj and peaceful than other places.I spend incredible time with John and his brother Moses.I felt really welcomed and it was easy for me to relax and be authentic with them. We shared a lot of good moments together that I will never forget! They took me and my friend to some places that I wouldnt ever find myself as tourist and explained about the history and stories behind areas and buildings. It was very interesting.Really, the best thing in my trip was that I get to know these two beautiful souls.Miss them already!Hope to see them soon

Excellent social hostel in Agra. Felt right at home here and met lots of great people. The owners, John and Moses, put their heart into this hostel and it shows in the personable service they provide. Like others have said, they really do run the place like a family. The location is in a quiet area of Agra, close to many local families but also next to the Taj. The hostel has great food, and also a rooftop for drying clothes. Everything is super reasonably priced and they do an excellent cycle tour to a secret Taj Sunset point for only 100 rupees. During my stay, the whole hostel even had the opportunity to go to an Indian wedding together! One of the best hostels I stayed in during 5 weeks traveling India. Stay here when you come to Agra - you won’t be disappointed!

Comfortable beds, good food, and every facility available here. The ambience is amazing, you wouldnt want to leave. But the real USP here are the hosts, the most warm, caring and welcoming people, made us feel like home from the moment I met them. Very polite and interesting to talk to, but also very responsible and trustworthy. I stayed here for two weeks and felt completely safe and relaxed here. I returned home with my heart filled with so much love and warmth.

We arrived here by train at 6am and Moses and his team were so accommodating. They even let us check in that early! I had called the hostel the night before to see if it was possible to drop off our bags when we arrived so we could go straight to the Taj and he sent me through a pile of helpful information - he told us the best and cheapest way to get to his hostel, sent me the link to pre purchase our Taj tickets so we wouldn’t have to line up, even told us the best cafes for breakfast around the area. They also offer sunset tours around the Taj which unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to do. When it was time to leave again, one of his staff members walked us to our Uber to make sure we found it okay. 10/10 stay, the rooms are basic but clean and perfect for a night or two. The service is excellent and we felt right at home. Thanks again Moses - Maddi, Lianna and LukeOh and it’s so close to the Taj Mahal! Great location

It was one of the best hostel accomadation. They treated us as one of the family member. They even cooked for us many times. Even though i stayed there just a day, with some of them we are still in touch. Bless you guys, hope to see you again.

THE best place to stay in Agra. Was so in love with the hostel and the team that built this that I ended up volunteering there for 3 weeks.Probably THE best hostel Ive been too in my year of traveling from France to Vietnam hitchhiking. Hands down.Ill be back someday because I couldnt find a mood like this anywhere else in India. Thanks you very much for this guys !

Zigzag is the best place a backpacker can choose to stay im Agra, simply put. Moses and his brother will make your journey there very special. Listen to their advice and chill out in their terrace with a good beer, you wont regret it.

Really amazing group of people! All the guys who run the hostel are like family from the moment you arrive. Really helpful and and friendly and always having a good time. The location is perfect, very peaceful with fields and cows next door. We loved our stay there and Ill be back as soon as I get back to India!

So first off I did not stay at this hostel. I was invited back there by some people who were staying there and had an amazing time. Moses and his crew run a fantastic friendly establishment. The run activities for guests and make sure everyone is having a good time. Moses is a unique kind person that ensures you leave his hostel with many memories and many friends.

The staff here were amazing, both for their cheerful and welcoming natures and their eagerness to help make our vacation the best it could be. They went above and beyond in offering us everything we could want. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were very clean

Moses is a really nice host, helped me book a ride from the hostel to the bus station at 3:30am. Nice location next to the Taj Mahal as well and pleasant courtyard.

Zigzag was a peaceful respite from the busy atmosphere of Agra. Clean, neat rooms. Great location on a scenic street, right across from the Taj Nature walk which I also recommend as a peaceful and scenic getaway. Also a cool view of the Taj. We got there early and were able to check in right away. They were renovating the room we had booked on hostel world, so they upgraded us from a dorm to a private. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. Moses the host was very helpful with whatever we asked him for. We asked for a Tuk Tuk and our driver Titu did a great job.

I usually dont do reviews but for this particular place I do.If you expecting to have a good time in a hostel you should not come here. You are not gonna enjoy it. But if you want to have the best experience in India , if you want to find a new family overseas, if you dont want to leave the place because you feel is HOME so this place is perfect for you.More than a backpackers hostel, this is home. I have a family in Agra now. Cant wait to come back and see everyone again.People in this HOMESTEL work with heart and build this amazing place with love, passion and good vibes.Thanks very very much guys. Ill miss you all. The ZigZag hostel is near to the Taj Mahal. Its amazing. The owner is a traveler and knows what a traveler need. Every detail in this hostel is made with love. For example, the tea is free. The guests come together, to drinking tea, share experience or just telling some stories. We wrote on the wall a message from our country. It makes this hostel so lovely. The menu is excellent. You will find here delicious Indian cuisine. The rooms and the washing room are clean. From the Terrace we had a great view. The hostel is outside of the traffic and we enjoyed the quite moments on the terrace.Definitely we will come back :)

Great Hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. They have fun tours to do and the staff helped us with the difficult logistics of travailing India even after we left Agra.

ZigZag is THE place to be if you are looking for a good experience in Agre. It is located 25 min walk away from the Taj Mahal. The place itself is clean, organized, great common areas, and budget friendly. The staff is friendly, and helpful and really just echoe what one would believe a hostel experience should be. They give the best tips on where to go, what to do, offer fantastic local/hidden spots. They genuinly enjoy meeting new people, hanging out and helping you get to know their city. If you have not been to Agre yet, when you first get to the hostel you may be wandering if you are at the right place, but please, go in, and enjoy your time. It really was a memorable time for me.

Away from the chaos of Agra, the zigzag hostel is located in a lovely rural area. The staff there was amazing, they really let us feel at home, they were super helpful as well. I forgot my bag in the uber and one of the guys of the hostel called my driver and then brought me on his motorbike to the drivers house, so I got my bag back! One of my fav hostels on my trip through India. Their food on the rooftop is amazing btw!

I loved the staff at this hostel! They are truly fun and caring people who attract like-minded travelers. Its a good budget option in a very expensive, touristy city, and they offer a beautiful sunset tour to see the Taj Mahal. That being said there is a lot of improvement to be made to the facilities. For solo women travelers: know that the location is out-of-the-way, down some unpaved roads with few street lights. Theres no AC in the rooms (even the staff prefered to sleep in the ACd common area!) and even with fans blowing hot air around (38+) you wake up sweating. The cleaning of the bathrooms should be more rigorous, and there are a lot of mosquitoes, probably because of the stagnant water in the main hall! But keep making improvements ZIGZAG, you guys have a good thing going!

Amazing hostel with amazing people! Im so glad i end up at Zigzag, at my arrival they invited me to a indian wedding and treath me as i was a long time friend! The experience was amazing. They dont give you tips about the city, they guide you! If you need anything they put all the energy to help you. Good bed, good roftop, good for socialize without being a party hostel. Everyday they think about a nice thing to do, can be a food tour or a walk to see a sunset view of Taj. Clean toilets with papper, hot water available really 24h (and not for just 2 min), filtered free water and great talks with so many interesting nice people :)) thank you soooooo much guys!!!!

As I read the real Reviews and this hostal seems good to stay...But I would like to say something and hostal management have need to knew it... Once a foreigner was walking with direction using Google map to ur hostal at near of idgah crossingand his mobile was not working well...and he was really very confused and worry... That was 8pm and I was travelling to idgah station therefore I had to catch the train to lucknow and in the way of idgah station, since foreigner friend was walking towards sai ki takiya...I was sitted in a auto... Driver stopped the auto and went to him and started conversation with man and than I told him that your destination is so far from here you cant reach by walking even in 1 nd half hour...than driver said to him that he will leave you at hostal by gestures and motions than he stopped an another auto and say him that leave this man at near big bazar and he took 100ra from another auto driver as a commision and said to the foreigner man that this man will leave you at hostal and you give him 500rs...Man was agree with them and went to sit in another auto than I stopped him and said first thing you are paying him much money and there is no guarantee that he will leave you at ur destination or not....But he didnt gave value to my words although I wanted to tell him something more info but he leaved with him......Means. You can understand the auto driver may leave him at big bazar and from there too thats so far from there in night .... You should say to them that use ola or uber in india....Now you know

As soon as you get to a hostel run by friendly brothers, you can really help yourself and make a day trip to Taj Mahal every day at dawn and sunset (price is about 100 rupees)The brothers who run the hostel for fun, not for the money, help free all the comforts and reservations, and the good music on the second floor terrace and a chat with the travelers of different nationalities add to the excitement of the trip The room is really clean, cool and healing space is the best choice for travelers who want to see Taj Mahal!

Great deal! 👌👌 very polite guys, they help you and take good care of you, (especially dietary) 😉 Next door there is a farm that manages an indu family, you can buy rikisima milk, natural and tasty buffalo, you can also help and learn many interesting things if you talk and work a few days with them. Do not be afraid to get dirty and they will make you from your family. Health and circus!

Totally recommended. The hostel has been open for a few months and is run by charming and very close people. Atmosphere of guests and youth workers, welcoming and pleasant.
