The Taj Mahal is the materialized vision of love and marks a perfect indelible remark on it’s Mughal Architecture. This historical monument is the mausoleum of Emporer Shan Jahan’s beloved wife, Empress Arjuman Banu Begum, most commonly known as Mumtaz mahal. The Taj Mahal is a complex comprising of the astonishing vision Ustad Isa Khan of Turkey, the chief architect of this historic monument. The Taj Mahal now holds a renowned place in UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. The tomb contains a 17-hectare centerpiece. The Taj Mahal is located 2.5 km away from the famous Agra Fort and is a renowned masterpiece of the world holds a special place as the 7th wonders in the world.About Taj Mahal, The conventional story behind the stunning 17th-century marble mausoleum is Emperor Shah Jahan’s eternal for Mumtaz, who died in childbirth. Historians believe that Shah Jahan remained heartbroken over the Empress’s death and ordered his court into mourning for two whole years.  To treasure all memories of his beloved wife, Shah Jahan undertook the task of building the world’s most treasured beautiful monument as a symbol of love. The construction of the imperial structure took almost 22 solid years with the labor of 22,000 workers. However, there are a few debates that question the construction of the Taj Mahal as a monument of love or guilt. To invoke the memories of the Mughal era,  a 10-day annual event called the ‘Taj Festival’ is celebrated in February, in front of the Taj Mahal. The grandeur of the Taj Mahal despite decades after construction resonates as the most attractive human-made tourist spot of the world. The Taj Mahal unveils five major structural components- the Darwaza or the main entrance, the Bageecha or gardens, the Masjid or Mosque, the Naqqar Khana or the rest house, and Rauza, the central mausoleum. The Taj Mahal’s main chambers consist of pseudo-tombs perforated marble screens. Beneath this lies the shadowy burial crypt that homes the tombs of both the Empress Mumtaz and the Emperor Shah Jahan. The perforated screens transmit light into the grave and is a structure of typical Mughal mausoleum. The tombs hold semi-precious stone linings, and calligraphic inscriptions are found to be inscribed on the sides on Mumtaz’s monument, reveal ing the ninety-nine names, Allah. The Taj structures add great artistic wonder and architectural realm to the place.Located on banks of the sacred river Yamuna, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the Taj Mahal is a royal artwork of multiple talented artisans and artists. The area surrounding the Taj holds many decorative elements such as grass lawns and trees that increase the fragrance of the environment. A few feet apart, at the foothills of the entrance pathway lies a fascinating fountain gleaming with water. However, due to the growing pollution, the white Taj marbles have reacted, leaving yellow-tinged surfaces. To protect the Mahal from further damage, the Indian government has enforced around 4,000-square-mile Taj Trapezium Zone, with strict emissions standards. This beautiful marble masterpiece gives immense pride to all Indians and is considered as a devout symbol of love

The Taj Mahal is located on the right bank of the Yamuna River in a vast Mughal garden that encompasses nearly 17 hectares, in the Agra District in Uttar Pradesh. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal with construction starting in 1632 AD and completed in 1648 AD, with the mosque, the guest house and the main gateway on the south, the outer courtyard and its cloisters were added subsequently and completed in 1653 AD. The existence of several historical and Quaranic inscriptions in Arabic script have facilitated setting the chronology of Taj Mahal. For its construction, masons, stone-cutters, inlayers, carvers, painters, calligraphers, dome builders and other artisans were requisitioned from the whole of the empire and also from the Central Asia and Iran. Ustad-Ahmad Lahori was the main architect of the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal at Bhopal was built as the Begums residence, at a cost of ₹ 3,000,000. Its construction spanned over a period of 13 years, from 1871 to 1884.It was one of the largest palaces of the world built at that time. The building was originally named Raj Mahal (royal palace). The British Resident at Bhopal, highly impressed with the architecture, suggested that the palace be renamed the Taj Mahal, the Taj Mahal at Agra having been built by the Begums namesake Shah Jahan. The begum accepted the suggestion and the palace was renamed to Taj Mahal. The Begum is said to have ordered a three-year-long celebration called Jashn-e-Taj Mahal after the completion of the building. After the partition of India in 1947, Nawab Hamidullah Khan allowed Sindhi refugees to stay in the palace. They stayed in Taj Mahal for around 4 years, before shifting to Bairagarh. The palace suffered some damage during this period.[After Indias independence, some members of the royal family of Bhopal stayed at the palace, but gradually moved away, as they had no money for the repairs. By 2008, large parts of the palace complex had collapsed. The palace was declared a state heritage monument by the Government of Madhya Pradeshin 2005 and the state archaeology department carried out restoration in parts. However, it was denotified in 2011 and the government now plans to transfer the property to the tourism department for its development as a heritage hotel.

The Taj complex is now entered through one of three gates leading into the Jilaukhana, or forecourt. The east and west gates are those commonly used by tourists. The arcaded ranges along the south side of the Jilaukhana, and the bazaar streets leading to it were restored between 1905 AD and 1922 AD. The approach road to the west gate is flanked by two somewhat inter buildings, the Fatehpuri Masjid and an anonymous tomb, which is probably that of Satti-un- Nisa Khanum, the Chief Lady-in-waiting of Mumtaz Mahal. The two bazaar streets lead into the great ceremonial forecourt, referred to as “jilaukhana” (literally, in front of the house). An inevident element of the Shahjahani architecture for court etiquette and proper ceremonial behaviour had become increasingly important and required an adequate architectural framing. Here visitors to the tomb would get down from their elephants and horses and assemble in style before entering through the great gate. The Jilaukhana is flanked by two pairs of courtyard enclosures. On the north, adjoining the garden wall, are the two Khawasspuras, the quarters of the tomb attendants. On the south are two tomb complexes, traditionally known as Saheli Burj or the tower of the female friend.

The Taj Museum is one of the most popular museums in Agra and is visited by hundreds of tourists who wish to learn more about the history of the Taj Mahal. The museum, located inside Jal Mahal in the complex of the Taj Mahal, offers you an opportunity to look at the original drawings of the Taj, which help people understand the accuracy and precision that went into planning the structure. The drawings of the interiors of the Taj Mahal display the position of the graves with such accuracy that the foot of the graves faces spectators irrespective of the angle it is viewed from. Apart from drawings, the Taj Museum has many other interesting artifacts such as royal jewellery, ancient paintings of Mughal emperors and much more. The Taj Museum is spread over two floors and has three galleries. It houses a total of 121 antiques including Mughal manuscripts, miniature paintings, inscription samples and royal. Apart from these, you will also find items such as arms, utensils and marble pillars on display in the museum. The main hall of the Taj Museum houses the most important artifacts like portraits of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, decorative wooden frames and imitations of coins minted in Mughal Agra.

Located inside the Taj Mahal complex, the Taj Museum was established in 1982 on the western ends of the Taj Gardens. The tiny but terrific depository is a double-storeyed building with a quadrangle projection outside. Situated a little left on the main gate of the mausoleum inside the Jal Mahal, the museum provides the wonderful opportunity to have a close look at the blueprints, arts and artefacts used in the construction of the world-class monument. It also houses paintings displaying the construction and planning of the graves of the Emperor and his Emperess and the angles measured are so, that the foot of the graves always faces the spectators.

Dont miss this when you visit the Taj Mahal! Makes the history so much more real. The 17th-century miniature paintings and calligraphy just slay me.We have already read about Mughal era traditions, wars, weapons etc in our history books. During our study, we used to imagine the mughal era. When you visit Taj Museum, your imagination will be turned into visualization. After seeing Mughal era things, you will feel that at present you are a part of the Mughal era.

The Taj museum is a small collection of interesting documents and items, mostly related to the Taj. Should probably be made more informative. Also, the panels have become old, and should probably be upgraded. It is a part of a duo of buildings that are collectively called the Jal Mahal. It is sometimes mistakenly referred to as the Naubatkhana.

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan, the builder.

Taj Museum is a small, but excellent museum inside the Taj complex. Situated on the western side of the Taj gardens, the museum is a double storied structure with a quadrangle projection outside. Divided into three galleries, the museum houses the original Mughal miniature paintings, including a pair of 17th-century ivory portraits of Emperor Shah Jahan and wife Mumtaz Mahal. The first gallery contains plans and drawing of the architecture of Taj Mahal. The second gallery houses jade and porcelain objects like Quaran stand and a beautiful ornamented spouted vase carved out of Jade, bowl and dishes of Celadon ware. Ancient fighting tools like swords, daggers and a world map showing the places from where stones and semi-precious stones were imported for the construction of Taj Mahal. In the third gallery lies important royal farmans and documents, and the specimen of famous calligraphy of the Shah Jahan period. There is also two paintings of Taj Mahal by British artist Daniel in the year 1795 AD. You can also find some very well preserved gold and silver coins from that era. If youre enjoy a little historical treat, you know where to go!

Taj museum is inside taj mahal campus. It is left side from entry gate and left side from taj. The museum has a great importance in whole taj mahal corridor and history of its emperor to his sultanates and to his making of wonder. Many people doesnt watch it because they dont recognize the importance of watching old monument, they only relate to main white taj. Inside museum you can see old weapons, ornaments, statements, coins, the orders issued by emperor, pictures paintings books of that time and the many things of that period. It is a must watch place for everyone.
