BLAACK FORESTKattur, Trichy..New pastry place cum cafe.. They are the chain of pastry shops already functioning in Madurai.. I think they are successful there... ( Madurai people need to update)...Its in the premises of Karnataka Bank, somewhere close to Banana leaf non veg restaurant and Chitra Veg restaurant.. That area...Very clean pastry shop cum cafe... Good seating arrangement.. AC was true chill... Apart from pastries, they offer Pizza, Pasta, sandwiches and burgers etc... My tummy was not ready for those things... Wanted to try unique stuff... Went for blue Berry mousse... Its sort of liquid chocolate.. Literally brilliant.. Loved every bit of it.. I think i am tasting it for the first time in trichy... It was for Rs 75.. The charges must be accepted in a chilled AC cafe...Then went for Donut was attractive by its looks... It was just Rs 35,,,, based on its looks I chose that... But just like the English proverb, all that glitters is not gold, it was not at all good.... The Bun portion was very hard... I regretted ordering that....Then ordered Apple pie., which I think is also a rarety in trichy.... The outer Bun portion was well baked.. The inner stuff was delicious.. So Pie Apple was Okey from my side... It was for Rs 70....The prices I have mentioned here were inclusive of all taxes.. Service was slow...To complete the show I ordered for Mijito... Tried the Virgin Mojito for Rs 100... It was nice... Sort of lemon, mint, etc.. Definitely the flavour was different and I liked it....Then packed some stuff like sandwich bread, butter Bun and coconut Bun etc for home .... Not received reports on them sofar...Surprisingly they dont offer puff etc.... Why cant they offer puffs, rolls etc?... Business reasons?.. dono....They said they have already have a kiosk in Pothys food court, in WB Road.. I was surprised.. And more over I have never seen/ visited pothys food court...Overall this is a decent bakery cum cafe.. May be approachable to Kattur, Kailash Nagar, BHEL, NIT students etc....Overall decent experience... Worth a try if your wallet is somewhat OK 😀...
