Kuldevi of BHANDARI JADHAV from Vetye gaon near Adivare and VETKAR surname who were originally from the same family of Jadhav, residing nowadays in Kumbhavade (some JADHAV changed their surname from Jadhav to Vetkar as they left Vetye gaon for certain natural calamities) It was said that devi MAHAKAALI herself gave drishtant to their ancestor JADHAV asking to take her out from the sea. Next day he found that his fishnet was stuck in the sea and so he called other villagers to take it out. Astonishingly they found murti of DEVI MAHAKALI in the fishnet which later on brought to ADIVARE and mandir was built then after. (Authentic info given as I am Vetkar myself) Great place to visit near Rajapur, Ratnagiri.

, Parashuram Bhoomi is a land torn by nature Rajapur is the southernmost taluka of Ratnagiri district in this land. Rajapur district is full of wonderful miracles and nature. The village of Adivare, which is alchemy of nature, is thirty kilometers from Rajapur and the temple of Mahakali Devi is famous. The attraction here is the palanquin of the goddess and the warul on the side of the temple. The learned people here say that the idol in this shrine will be around 5 years old. This place is celebrated every year by the goddess Dasariya. At this time all kinds of folk art from Dasav Tara to New Drama are performed in this place. The palanquin of this goddess is watchable and uses 2 kg of silver. It is also important for the devotees to see this palanquin. This litter is another attraction for the tourist. One of the attractions here is the large Varul situated beside this temple. A beautiful landscape and peace of mind surrounds you. This goddess of Adiwari Mahakali is also famous as the goddess of Navas. It is as easy as going from Rajapur to this place. It is also easy and easy to get to Ratnagiri. On the way to Ratnagiri Rajapur, we find this beautiful and picturesque village.
