Achleshwar Dham, Mandir is a temple in Batala, Punjab.It is 7 km away from the main city. It is a place where Lord Shiv’s Son Kartik hame come when he was competiting with Shri Ganesh. Shivji ordered their son to move around the earth, which one complete it 1st he will be more superior. Ganeshji move around his parents but kartik was moving around the earth.When he know that Ganesh has won then he come to batala and want to live here permanently. Then Shiv give him blessings that there will come Ganga every year and all 33 crores devtas will come. So it is a place where all the Lords had come.

Once Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, after deliberating and testing the intelligence of the children, decided to make the best of the two their successors and called both of them and said that whoever reaches Kailash first after circling the three worlds, he will be the only one. Will make his successor. After getting the permission of the parents, both the brothers boarded their respective vehicles and set out to circumambulate the three worlds.Kartik ji, who had killed the ferocious demon Tadkasur, who oppressed the gods and goddesses in his childhood, got lost in his vehicle peacock and disappeared from the sky in a few moments while Ganesh ji rode on his vehicle mouse. Walked outAfter going a short distance, Ganesh ji met Narad ji, who, knowing everything, became unknown and asked the reason for the journey, then Ganesh ji made him aware of the wishes of his parents, listening to which Narad ji said that God is himself. He is the lord of the three worlds, whose circumambulation leads to the circumambulation of the three worlds.Hearing the words of Narad ji, Ganesh ji reached Kailash at the same time and after circumambulating the parents stood folded hands. Lord Shiva, impressed by the wisdom of Ganesha, declared him as his successor. On the other hand, when Kartik ji was going from above this holy place by sky route, Narad ji narrated the news of Kailash to him, which Karthik ji was very sad to hear. At the same time, Karthik vowed not to go to Kailash and started doing penance after descending to earth, which is now famous as Shri Achaleshwar Mahadev Teerth.Narad ji reached Kailash and informed Lord Bholenath about the decision of Karthik, then Lord Shankar himself and mother Parvati along with other deities came here to persuade Kartik ji, but when Karthik did not go to Kailash, he decided to remain immovable. So Lord Shiva declared him as the officer of the ninth by giving him the name of Achaleshwar Mahadev and granted him a boon that the ninth festival would be celebrated in which the gods and goddesses would visit and whosoever worshiped with a sincere heart after bathing in the holy lake for 40 consecutive days. His every wish will be fulfilled.Everywhere Shiva..
